(Flash demo) SynopsisFor decades, populations across Europe and Asia have felt the fury of Chimera: a rapidly mutating parasite that infects other forms of life, rendering its victims into new Chimera. The unstoppable spread of this deadly disease has made its way to the shores of England in Fall of Man. It's now 1951, and while playing the part of U.S. Army Ranger Nathan Hale, you must fight alongside a group of British resistance soldiers in a last-ditch effort to free England and the rest of the world from the stranglehold of this ruinous plague. Exotic weapons and vehicles team with proprietary physics to create a unique human and Chimeran arsenal. While on your mission, you'll encounter lifelike characters and creatures who display sophisticated behaviors and interactions in complex environments for an immersive experience. You'll be subjected to the chaos of large, crowded battlefields in close combat within infested military command centers and decimated urban landscapes based on actual locations in Great Britain.

"Now that Blu Ray has just about won the format war I decided to get a PS3. I picked up Resistance based on the good reviews I've read. This is a very good FPS, especially since it was a launch title and a year and a half later the game seems to still hold its own. The game outputs at 720p (too bad not the full monty), but regardless it looks great The only downer is that you will meet a lot of the same enemies. There are different enemies throughout the game but for the most part you'll take on the main Chimera mutants. It does NOT take away from the fun though so pleae don't let that sway you from buying. 4 Stars!"

"I bought this game after reading so many good reviews and people in other forums raving about it. This game is one of the most overrated I've played in recent memory. I grew very tired of the levels, same aliens, same weapons, same story. The hit detection and overall realism is pretty weak, and the graphics certainly aren't anything amazing. I do understand that this is one of the earlier release PS3 games, but there are much better games to spen your money on. I.E. Call of Duty 4!"

What's great about it: Good gun game What's not so great: Hard to control, doesn't look realistic
"I heard so much good things about this game, so I decided to get it. After playing it for like 30 minutes, I got tired because the guns I use don't even hurt the aliens. The controls are bizzarely inaccurate. I would not recommend this to people who like shooting games. Call Of Duty 4 is a better game."

"This game is really good FPS. It has good graphics, a good storyline, and good multiplayer. I would strongly reccomend this game to anyone that owns a PS3 or is looking for a good FPS. The levels get progressively harder as the game goes on. You get a variety of weapons."

"yes i wrote that in all caps, why....because the game is just that good. 360 has halo, PS3 has this and i've played both and i would choose resistance. the graphics are great, the story line is even better, its very well thought out and plays out just as well. the weapons are great, they aren't over the top. the chimera soldiers are tough and it creates a challenge, you really can't play each scenario the same or you'll just keep dying the same way you did before. strategy is key and can really help in situations."

"I normally don't play games like this one where you are going up against aliens but this game was one I'm glad I decided to give a chance. It has great graphics and a storyline that makes you sit on the edge of your seat with anticipation. You play just to see what happens next. This game is shooter where you aquire lots of weapons for your use as the game progresses. I'm use to playing shooters where the weapons are based on real military weapons. The alien weapons you aquire during the game take some getting use to. I had to learn when to use certain weapons and when not to. I also like the levels where you are controling different vehicles like tanks, jeeps, and alien attack vehicles. Overall the game was good. It held my interest and challenged me enough to keep me wanting to play more. It will keep you on your toes. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who likes shooters."

"The game setting is after WWII. The chimeras started of in Russia and started expanding. This is where you come in and kick some butt. Straight from the start, the game goes through intense actions. It is easy to pick up, and the storyline is interesting to follow. The co-op campaign is fun, and it seemed harder than single player, even in the same difficulty. The cut scenes are in black and white to give it the old texture. Online multiplayer is fun to play as well. I'm not a competitive person when it comes to video games, but if you are, then you'll enjoy playing in ranked games. You have your typical capture the flag, free for all death match, and team death match. These seem like the most favorite among all first person shooters. My only complaint is selecting weapons. At some point you'll have so much weapons and trying to select the weapon with the analog stick doesn't quite work the way you want. Also, you automatically end up using whatever weapon you pick, which gets annoying because you have to switch weapons."

"This is a great title for the Playstation 3 and is a must have in my opinion. Everything from the graphics to the storyline are very well done and executed in a manner consistent with other AAA FPS games. While this game is a little tougher than other FPS games I have played, I consider that a plus as there are too many on the market now that can be finished a little too quickly. Buy this game if you own a Playstation 3, you won't regret it!"

"i dont even know where to start with this game. from the campaign, to co-op, to online, its a must game. as you play in campaign you'll start to notice that the enemy are starting to learn you tactics and you must stay at ahead of them. in co-op you and your friend can find out that there are more enemies and they're more vicious. playing online is probably the best feature for this game. from 40 player deathmatch, to team deathmatch, to even capture the flag, this online game playing got it all."

"Resistance Fall of Man has a great single player campaign. You will be surprised at the array of weapons that you can choose from, and the different abilities each one has. Also, the plot and storyline flow very well for a video game. The general idea of the game is good right from the start. As the world is at war, and then is abruptly interrupted by the invasion of an unknown species. Thus forcing the humans to join forces to fight the Chimera. Multiplayer online is also a great part of this game, and you can join into some pretty big online matches with this game. This is one of the first year titles that came with the PS3, and it's a must buy if you are just getting the system now. The only con to this game is despite very popular opinion, I feel the graphics are not as good, as what other games have shown on the PS3."

"first game i wanted to play with my ps3. great choice on my part. alittle hard to use both sticks but any veteran of shooter games will be fine. great weapon selection. monsters very realistic. warning: dont play this game at 2 in the morning with no lights on a 42 inch tv, scared me half to death with these freakin creatures. may be one of the first games out for ps3 but is still going strong in my opinion. all 5 stars."

"One of the better games I played for the next gen systems. Along with R&C, Bioshock, and Heavenly Sword, this game is on top of my list (I've not seen AC/COD4/MS yet...). As far as FPS go, it has excellent exececution, story, and pacing. I've not played a game that has a better weapon selection. I can't wait for the next game in this series. I played Halo 3 right after I finished this game and I was very dissapointed with the master chief - it seems that not much has improved since the blockbuster original. I hope this series will improve with each installment..."

"If you bought this game when it first came out then you know how good it is. The gameplay is fantastic and so is the shooting. The weapons in this game are amazing when you use them. Though you will die a lot of times throughout the game which can get really annoying. This little problem isnt really a big deal and you will quickly get over it when you start getting into it. The game is still one of the best for the ps3 and it was one of the first to come out. This is one of the GREATEST games still to date."

"Overall the game is a decent "launch" title, I own this game and found as soon as I beat it I've stopped playing this game and moved on to newer fps that use more of the ps3s graphics engine. The game is decent for split screen and online, the graphics are grainy and still don't look up to par (using an lcd tv and hdmi) . Overall recommend the game if it was on sale, or came with the system (download the demo to try it before you buy it)"
