A good game with a few faults

What's great about it: Graphics, Somewhat open world, Combat somewhat
What's not so great: Pace of combat, Confusing objectives
"I like this game, yet still have done beat it due to confusion. I literally do not know what to do. The graphics are breathtaking at times. The world is believable due to great effects such as beautiful background textures and things like dirt flying when you run. The combat is fun for a while, until it starts to slow you down. The voice acting is fair, save the main character. The voice does not fit the character, the time period or the continent. The gameplay does get repititive due to a low variety of mission types. They are also quite boring until you go for the assasination. This game has a few hiccups, but is worth playing if just to understand the story leading into AC2."

What's great about it: THE TIMELINE & STORY
What's not so great: Repetitive
"I remember severals years ago when I got my first PS3. I couldn't wait for this game of course it has been release so I couldn't pre order it. I have to say it was worth the wait. The style of play of swooping in on characters, killing them with you're blades and the visuals. That's why I quickly purchased part 2."

Fun Game

What's great about it: The Graphics are semi-realistic
"Fun game, loved it. but the one thing i liked the least was when you high profile assassinate someone altairs hand will either miss their neck completely or go through their head and I hate it how if you jump into water you drown to your death. But besides that its a good game. Now i want to see how the second one improved. Fun ending, like how you can still play after you beat the game."

What's great about it: The story line
What's not so great: Gets kind of boring after a couple of levels
"i would recommend this game for those of you who love repetittion; otherwise, get ready for a headache. This game takes you back and forth between being in assasin in the AD era and coming back to being locked up in a study lab in the present. (ya, kind of wacked out) that present part is something you just wanna skip through but you cant.. Then when you go back in time to become an assasin thats when the fun begins.. yourun around as this dude who carries a knife in his and jumps on people and stabs them... (this is where the repitittion starts) every guy you have to take out is usally always murdered the same way.. When you save a community from some evil guy, they help you out in beating people up.. which is pretty funny.. all in all i would give this game a 4 out of 5 cuz i hate repitittion.."

What's great about it: adventure, graphics, storyline, fighting
What's not so great: length
"This game is a great game having you explore different cities like damascus and jerusalem. You are an assassin who is assigned to eliminate certain targets, these targets, heavily guarded by guards are fun to find and eliminate seeing as you have to do it with stealth or end up fighting all the guards. The game is very fun to play and I really like the fighting system. The swords you get to use are limited (5) but the action is great. I was a little disappointed with the length but it set me up perfectly for waiting for Assassins Creed II (coming out in august)"

What's not so great: Freezes up Sometimes,Gets Repetive
"I found out after the 2nd day with it that it freezes up I was jumping off a building and it froze in the leap of faith which was neat but i had to restart the system but that was okay. It only froze up about 2 times after that. The graphics are good like you would think. I do get tried of helping the citzens but other than that i dont really mind. The story about the templar's treasure is great and it has a end that just leaves you thinking. The fights are fun just to sit there with your hidden blade and kill like 30 men. I got all the view points which was easy and saved all the citzens so they would Shut up!! It's a great game besides the freezing up part."

What's great about it: Just about everything
What's not so great: Can be a bit challenging and repetetive
"I have actually only played this game at a friend's house, but I have played it front to end. I love the idea of being a 12th century assassin mixed with futuristic technology. The only turn off for me is the fact that the main character drops the "f-bomb" once at the very end. I believe thats the only reason its rated M. The game is a nonstop journey of awesomeness. I would recommend this game to anyone anytime. PLAY THE GAME!!!"

"you are altiaer the protaganist and the main story keeps going back and forth from way far in the past to the present. a couple of doctors lock you up and try to go back in your gene history to find a secret that has been lost for centuries. hopefully assasians creed 2 will tie up the loose ends at the end of the game.
otherwise gameplay is really fun to just run around and jump across buildings and jump off them to asassinate civilians or guards, and then run away and disapeer from the world"

What's great about it: fun killing people and doing missions and achieving goals
What's not so great: repetitve
"solid game. You have about 5 weapons to choose from, each can be updated and most of them have to be earned. Kill people with offensive and a lot of defensive technique. Lots of blood and gore which makes killing more satisfying.
In this game there are a variety of things you can do. Different missions you can do at different times before the actual assassination. this takes place during the crusades so you get to go to different cities of different religions mostly Islamic or Christian cities. Your an assassin. Your enemies are the templers. the goal of the assasssins is to make peace and stop the templers. You investigate on the person you are to assassin then you kill him. different missions or ways of assassination take place in the game in every level.
Pick pocket: You'll see 2 people talking. They will say their good byes and that's the chance you steal a map or something from one of them. You quietly go behind your target and press O to take what you need.
Other thing: forgot what this is called, but, its when you watch a dude take a speech but instead of preaching about religion he preaches to obey the leader of the city or the person you want to assassinate. You follow him until he walks to a place where no one is around so that you can beat him up to get info then kill him so he stays silent.
the Informer: the informer will tell you to do different missions like collecting flags or killing people in secret or without being spotted
to save his own a**.
Save citizen: there will be about 8-10 people who haven't done anything wrong but guards will try to kill that person. So your job is to take out your sword and kill them all. You will be awarded once you have saved the person. (usually allies or hiding places)
View point: this is very simple. You achieve view points by climbing a very large building whether its a temple, Mosque or Church and you press triangle. Later in the game they don't tell you where to go, so you go to view points and those view points locate certain missions for you. Once you get the view point you can dive down without dying and it looks cool.
ASSASSINATION: Once your done investigated you watch the leader kill someone or something awesome then you find a way to get past his guards and take him out. This is a very fun part of the game and is like the boss the part you've been waiting for.
Reality: in reality this isn't really happening. Your just some lamea** dude who USED to be an assassin. scientist look at his dNa in a machine because the dna has memories of your ancestors (fiction). After every block of memory or complete level you finish, you become him and see whats going on. Its not that fun considering that no action at all takes place and doesn't really seam important to the game and is probably better off without it."

"i like that the setting takes place in the old time. i like that there are different weapons and ways to kill some one i play this game and the ending is awesome it is almost like a movie ending and i cant wait tell they make AC 2"

"This was one of the reasons I purchased the PS3. I anticipated playing this game so bad. There are ups and downs with the video game. I have to say through it all its kept me interested. After beating the game I felt satisified. There are points when its seems somewhat repetitive. I guess afterwhile you know what to expect. The difficult level is at a medium. Overrall I love the game and can not wait to AC2."

"Amazing game!!! Revolutionary and a step above the rest. Great gameplay, great graphics and a huge environment to gallop through on your horse, dive off buildings and assassinate innocent bystanders. Really good with an intriguing story and a cliff hanger ending leaving you begging for a sequel. A little repetitive gameplay wise but once left for an hour you will come crawling back!!"
