What's great about it: Graphics, Soundtrack, Story, Originality
What's not so great: Fairly easy to complete

"Let's get one thing straight from the beginning: Bioshock is not a particularly difficult game. No enemy will re-spawn when you die and your money and items remain intact even when you don't. Although it may take you a couple of weeks to get through, you will get through it without frustration.

That said, Bioshock is a wonderful ride for those couple of weeks you become immersed in the world of Rapture. The graphics, audio, and original soundtrack are breathtaking. The story leaves nothing to be desired and you will find yourself emotionally attached to the various characters you encounter.

Because the game is so unique you will find yourself wanting to go back and put together the story all over again to catch the missing pieces from the first time around. In addition, and without giving anything away, there are different endings to the game depending on decisions you make as you play."

What's not so great: Not as scary as you think it would be

"I rented this game because i wanted a good single player game, and I got what i wanted. If you don't have online on your console, I would deffinitely recommend this game. It only took me a couple days to beat, but that's if you play it for a couple hours each day on easy. I expected it to be creepy and scary, and it was at first, but after a while, you can sort of tell whats going to happen. this is my 3rd favorite single player game, behind fallout 3 and halo 3 ODST"

What's great about it: The storyline is creepy and interesting, very unique weapons.
What's not so great: Not the longest game in the world.

"If you like FPS games, and really interesting storylines, this is the game for you!

The story is creepy, unique, and even disturbing at times. I normally don't play creepy games, and I wouldn't call this a horror game, but it definately has it's creepy gross moments.

The weapon options are pretty darn cool. What's better than electrocuting people with your hands? or lighting them on fire and watching them run around the room screaming? And its great that you can incorporate both your guns/melee weapons as well as your plasmids (i.e. freeze them, then beat them with a wrench and watch them shatter!) The graphics are pretty good too.

Like i said above, i REALLY like the storyline. So if you enjoy a good FPS, and a good unique story that isn't like all the others, get this game."

What's great about it: Excels in every major catagory.
What's not so great: Lack of actual game overs may turn away some people.

"I won't go into much detail with this game since countless articles, reviews, and blogs have been written about it. I will say that in the months leading up to this game's release I wasn't interested in it at all and thought it would be a huge failure. That all changed when I played the demo. I enjoyed it so much I went out and bought it and proceeded to beat it 4 times within a few months. It is incredibly well done, from graphics and physics to story and light-RPG elements like uprading your weapons. It really is a masterpiece of video game storytelling and the presentation is near perfect. Bioshock is a unique and involving masterpiece that simply needs to be experienced by any hardcore gamer."

What's great about it: easy to get the hang of. awsome graphics.
What's not so great: hard achievements but worth it. no real cons at all.

"now this game is not for all gamers, but i would say if your willing to try something unordinary go for bioshock. I am a big gamer and a achievement junkie for xbox 360 reviews and i write reviews for xbox360achievements.org on how to achieve them. now this game is very eerie and takes place after being in a plane crash, you make your way in a litehouse with a submarine. the sub takes you to Rapture wich is a place far under the ocean founded by Andrew Ryan a scientist who created adom and messed with genetic coding. Everything fell apart in the city after everyone was spliced up to bad from the adom. its up to you to save yourself and use the adom to your advantage in order to make powerful weapons.

What's great about it: Great story, excellent visuals, very creepy.
What's not so great: No multiplayer

"When I first loaded the game up, I expected another generic FPS experience. Thankfully, the lights went out, footsteps rushed up behind me, and I was killed in a matter of seconds.
Set in the underwater city of Rapture, the game has you collecting "Adam", genetic material used to make you more powerful, from the "Little Sisters", little girls toting giant syringes. But in order to get the Adam, you must first take out the "Big Daddy", the drill-wielding body guards for the Little Sisters. And it's a lot harder than it sounds. The combat is great, with a wide variety of weapons and ammo types, and awesome "Plasmids", unique powers that you shoot from your fingertips, like fire, electricity, and ice, among others. Multiplayer would be epic, but sadly, it isn't in this game.
Enemies may pop out of nearly every dark corner, making you jump at every shadow that moves, but it's the audio, particularly the ambient noise and dialog that adds to the creep factor just enough to make me want to turn the lights on. The rusty 1950's signs and fading posters decorate the walls and give the game a vintage look that isn't seen in many games.
Overall, Bioshock is an above average game that practically defines what games in the current generation should be like."

What's not so great: i wish u could do more after you beat the game.

"it well deserves game of the year, this game is so fun and addicting i couldnt ever put it down. the weapons and special powers you get are sick. the campaign is sick. well worth buying. i strongly advise buying this."

"This is one of the most unique story lines in a game that I have ever played. The graphics are amazing, the game-play and is fun. The only thing that could bother some people is that it doesn't have a online multiplayer, but the campaign is fun enough that it is definitely worth buying. I can't wait for the 2nd one."

"you fall out of the sky into the ocean to find yourself in a terrible airplane crash. when you reach the surface oddly there is a small island with doors in the middle of it that just happens to be there... like it was supposed to be... you then enter the doors to find a sub that takes you to the mysterious world of rapture

the game play was really fun and really responsive and you can make your charactor however you like. you get new plasmids that can shock, enflame, security camera,etc.. and a wide assortment of weapons as well

the storyline was definitly one of the better ones and it had an amazing twist to it near to the end that i dont think anyone saw coming"

"At first I did not think that I would like this game. But I when I played It I was amazed at the graphics and the gameplay. It is scary and fun. It has little puzzles here and there. It is just over all a well designed game. What I love most is the every thing goes together. There are not useless items, and there really is nothing that you dont understand. It is hard and easy. I can only say go buy it. It is definitely worth the money."

"I didn't play the online multiplayer so I can't speak for that but the regular game is great. Probably my favorite 360 game. The story is really interesting, the graphics are great, the sound is great. I traded mine in but I may pick up another copy and play it again while I wait for part 2 to come out. If you haven't played this one yet, play it!"

"This game is all around amazing. It has everything that makes games great, I've said this 3 times now so I will finally explain. It has amazing graphics as expected, but what I didn't expect was the amazing universe that this game created. It was eriee how real it made the universe seem. The story was increadable with characters and twists that really brought you into the game. The controls are some of the best I've seen in a FPS, and the plasmids add whole new level to the uniqueness to this game. Overall there isn't anything you could ask for from a video game that Bioshock doesn't deliver on. For $29.99 I fell like I'm stealling, because this game is worth more more more."

What's great about it: Weapon upgrades, story,"powers", etc.
What's not so great: hmmm...Nothing

"This game is amazing. The story is just so unusual but it makes sense and is very possible for it to happen. If you like eerie zombie like games that have a good story, and awesome weapons/ "powers" you will fall in love with this game.

There are a few guns in the game but all can be upgraded. These upgrades include more power, ammunition, quicker reload, more accurate, etc. You will want to play the game to its fullest, to upgrade your weapons to your desire.

You can also in the game get "powers'. They can be fire, electric, tornado, there are so many i will let you discover them.

The game will also test your morality, will you save the little sister and become hated, but more powerful or save them and be loved, but less powerful. Each ending of Bioshock can be different depending on if you change what you do. Very much like Fallout 3's ending.

This game is absolutely amazing with great graphics that sometimes creep you out and will keep you thinking on how you are going to kill the next person. One of the greatest games of all time.

What's great about it: Innovative
What's not so great: A little too easy

"The good:
Bioshock is probably one of the most innovative games out right now. New fresh ideas: adam, plasmids, hacking automated defense systems, weapon upgrade stations, other upgrade stations. It also has an amazing plot(with multiple endings) that will suck you in.
The Bad:
Its a relatively easy game with a lot of mapping around. Big Daddys are the only really difficult enemies to kill, especially when you find two of them, but other then that the upgraded weapons keep almost all the other enemies at bay.
The Ugly:
Graphically stunning game, use of light is amazing and the water looks almost as good as Uncharted: Drakes Fortune."

What's great about it: Story, Graphics, Plasmids
What's not so great: Can get repetitive, Laggy in some spots

"I just finished this game on normal. The big daddies are really cool. I like the story line and the plasmids and stuff. It reminds me of the old PC game Deus Ex where you can mod your body with different abilities and hack machines. It adds depth to the whole FPS game. I like to be more involved with my environment and thats why I like this shooter. I liked the fact that you can research different characters and get bonuses for it. A really nice touch. There could of been a little more variety with the different mobs you fight. Towards the end of the game it got a little repetitive. I'm playing it through again on hard because I missed a few achievements. I recomend buying this game."
