"Bought it for my Gateway M-1625...and retuned it twice. Verified at the store that both sticks were DOA. (two different times). Bought the Corsair CGM2X2GS800 "Gaming" modules...AND IT WORKS GREAT!"

"I put 2 sticks into an HP a1102n originally had 512mb ram, Pulled both cards out, put in ONE stick to check it would boot up and run, it did, so I put both 1G sticks in slots one and two, and then put the two old sticks in 3 & 4 and Volia! I now have 2.49 g of ram... mucho faster, love it! Thanks!"

"I bought these rams at Bestbuy but I noticed that the ones I got are of "blue" color and the black chips are written "elixir" and not "PNY"...I don't know what's going on....I installed one RAM first. So far it's working. I will try to install the other one later....This is strange...Does anyone know why Elixir Memory Ram are packaged into PNY ??? Thanks."

What's great about it: Great for laptops and the iMac. (GREAT PRICE)
What's not so great: None
"I have an iMac boot-camping Windows XP Home Edition. Although XP does not consume that much RAM I needed it. I'm a BIG multi-tasker and I play World of Warcraft with the video settings way up. Since I've noticed lag (I suspected it was a loading problem moving from place to place) and I needed the RAM I easily baught it, stuck it in the iMac and bam. I've noticed fast load times in XP and switching from one program to the other. This also fixed the HUGE lag problem and my theories were correct."

What's great about it: Quality memory, Easy to install
What's not so great: 1GB is not a good future investment
"If you intend on purchasing a new laptop anytime soon, then you might want to stick with a 1 stick 2GB ram. This will ensure that you will be able to take advantage of faster computers in the future. Most laptops these days hold 4GB but windows vista generally only reads 3GB. Since laptops only have 2 slots for ram, the best combo is 1 - 1GB stick and 1- 2GB stick = 3GB ram."

What's great about it: Great $50 Price Drop for Laptop RAM.
What's not so great: None so far.
"Added additional 1 GB of RAM for the Sony VAIO NR 220 acquired earlier. Definately a performance booster using Vista. Improved sluggishness when working with multiple programs and opening Web pages. Good product at a great price."

"Works like a charm in my Sony Vaio VGN-NR180(i bought 2 1gb sticks). Vista boots much faster, doesn't freeze anymore while opening multiple applications. Its a must have if your have Vista"

What's great about it: reusable with near-future laptops
What's not so great: none
"Upgraded memory capacity of my laptop before installing MS IE 7 and McAfee Total Protection which are memory hogs. Didn't think that I'd use the full 1GB of RAM but turned out to be wrong whenever lots of tabbed MS IE windows are opened.
I also downloaded and ran a memory tester on the RAM and the RAM passed with flying colors although only high-end laptops may be able to use the RAM at top speed."

"i bought a Gateway ML3109 with just 512mb, its just for my entertainment but downloaded music and ripping cds took its toll on my available memory so i bought the 1 gig stick. i missed the sale but im still satisfied with my purchase. im not going to upgrade to the full 2 gigs because this is just my first pc. i plan to get a second laptop and the need arises i will be getting more memory."
