It's 2 AM. You've just made it to the next level of your favorite Xbox game, when suddenly Mom appears at your bedroom door shouting, "Turn it down!" What do you do now? Just reach for your Ear Force X1 headset, plug it in, and Mom won't need to complain about the noise. Delivering crisp, clean audio and deep, rich sound effects, these headphones will bring out every detail of your game soundtracks. What's great about it: You will hear things that you've not heard before
What's not so great: After about 4 hours of playing they start to hurt a little
I was looking for a decent set of headphones for playing on Xbox live. The stock headphones that come with the Xbox 360 are pretty sad so the hunt began. I did a little research and decided that for the price I would give these a try. I'm a huge COD4 player and I was completely blown away by the sounds that I heard for the first time wearing these headphones. If you stand by a dumpster you will hear the flys buzzing around, stand by a barrel on fire and you will hear the work crackling. It really helps during the actual gameplay too. I can't tell you how many times I've heard another player approaching from the side or rear giving me the opportunity for the kill. The only negative thing I can say about these are the wires are just a little cumbersome, hardly even worth mentioning. I've not had any problems.

What's great about it: well the sound is good.
What's not so great: can't use hdmi cable, can't hear other gamers voices online, way too many wires.
well i went an bought these headphones with excitement, but i just ended up being extremely disappointed and feeling i wasted my money. if you don't care about hearing or being able to communicate with other people online. also don't care about picture quality. then i recommend them. the sound is good. i'm sure the more expensive headsets are better. all and all it's pretty good for the price you pay.

What's great about it: excellent sound
What's not so great: alot of long chords
This is the best headset ive bought so far. the sound quality on it is amazing, its like having surround sound right in your headset! i can literally hear someones foot steps while creeping up on me in video games!! it is a little pricy but seeing as how the cheap $20 dollar ones broke on me all the time and i ended up buying so many of them i should have just bought this. down side is there is alot of chords to deal with and price but it was worth it.
Very happy i bought this!

What's great about it: Set-up was easy, came with everything I needed. Performance came through in the clutch on XBOX Live
What's not so great: For what you are paying, this is a great product.
Great quality, low price. Any other questions? This headset has brought my gaming to an all new level in entertainment and given me the edge to hear the oposition.

What's great about it: Hear your enemies sneaking, improves your game (see review).
What's not so great: No HDMI adapter, must use audio of RCA. Wires can be messy. No Instructions.
First off, I'm the type of guy who's mostly on top of the list in kills. My intent for this purchase was to see how much of a difference it makes with this headset while playing modern warfare 2. In my opinion it does help to hear your enemies coming at you or if there are enemies around. You could hear the enemies foot step from about a 20-30 feet radius. If your enemy is walking/running on your right side, you can hear it through your right ear and none on your left ear. The only real con for me was that I can't hear myself speak when the volume level is up on my headset. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this headset.

What's great about it: Great sound
What's not so great: To many cords
This headset is so worth the money. I am a big time gamer and have been looking for something that I can play my games without bothering the other people in my house. I play Mw2 and since I have had this headset less people tend to sneak up on me. This set also can be used for your pc gaming. The only problem with the headset is way to many cords. So if you can afford the cordless that I would say would be the best idea but for the money the quality is great. I have already recommended these to a few people.

What's great about it: Setup is uncomplicated, earcups comfortable, variable adjustment on microphone boom
What's not so great: cables
Got this specifically for Modern Warfare 2 because I was going online with friends (Xbox Live) and needed a microphone/headset. I wanted something immersive and so headed for the full earcup stereo headsets. The stereo performance is excellent as I can "feel" inside the game. My voice is not studio quality as is seems a bit of the high end doesn't come through, but I am clearly understood by others. This is a great value as it came in at under $75. Other headsets with similar features were $100+ for not much more. If you can stand having the cable connection(s) (there is a very long cable so you aren't too limited, plus I have a wired controller), this is a great choice.

What's great about it: The sound quality
What's not so great: Lots of wires
The sound quality is great. It works very well for COD MW you can hear everything very clearly. The cords can be a pain but its worth the savings from the wireless set. I also have a pair X31 I bought them used . They also work very well but it runs through batteries like mad.

What's great about it: very cheap for how great they sound
What's not so great: cords get tangled easily
for those who say these are expensive, you are stupid. compared to the prices of other headsets out there, these are extremely cheap. they have great sound quality. maybe not as good as the astros or trittons, but these arent 180 dollars. for the price they are great. if you have the money to spend more then get trittons. they have better sound quality than these but if you dont have much to spend then these will get what every you need done done.

What's great about it: The price, the quality, overall awesome headset for only $60
What's not so great: A ton of wires, more complicated setup than i expected, the earphones can give you a headache, and you may shout at times
Overall i have to say this is amazing. I tried it out at a buddy's house, 3 days later i went out and bought one for myself. At first i was irritated, because the setup is NOT easy. I figured you just plug into the 360 and you're ready to go. But you actually need to plug the USB into a power source (TV or 360), and then use the red and white component cables on the back of the TV. My problem is that my 360 is not very close to my TV, so i had to plug the headphones into my TV, not my 360 at all. That and the cord is really long.
Other than that, i have not had any bad experiences. The cups sometimes squeeze your head so hard that your head and jaw will begin to hurt, other times it doesnt hurt at all. If you have a rechargeable battery pack, and you are charging and talking on the headset at the same time, it gives some static feedback, but its very little. Besides that they are very comfortable. The only other thing is if you play this with your friends, and you communicate with them over XBL, and you bought this headset to not wake anyone in your house. You may find yourself shouting across the house because with the game noise AND people talking in both of your ears, you really lose consciousness of how loud you're actually talking. I find myself shouting all the time when i dont mean to.
Otherwise, its awesome. Much rather pay $60 for the extra wires than $100 for wireless, then have to buy new batteries every so often.

What's great about it: Decent surround-sound
What's not so great: Microphone is in/out and parts of sentences are lost
These are pricey headphones so I would expect decent sound and I wasn't disappointed. Some say your ears will be warm and they're not lying, but I didn't find it completely uncomfortable.
The problem that I've noticed is the microphone. It seems to have connection issues as entire sentences of mine are lost if I move too much, but incoming audio is fine.
If I were just using for hearing the games, it's not bad, if pricey. But to communicate with others while playing, it's a problem.

My 13 yr old son has not had a complaint yet about this product and it has been a month. He was a little leary at first about it being wired. He originally wanted the wireless ones, but he realized that the battery life on the wireless was less than he plays on a weekend day, so he kept the wired ones we got him for his birthday. The wire is so long (16 or 12ft) that he doesn't even notice it. He does say that the tops of his ears get sore, but over time that will go away when his ears get used to having a full headset on. Great product! I would definitely recommend you buy this.

What's not so great: the cords are a little long it gets tangled but thats just cause i have a billion other cords
I have had this for i very long time i love it so much,i do xbox 360 and pc gaming works amazing on both! it only takes like 10 seconds (i'm not joking)to switch between pc and xbox.I love the easy sound and voice volume adjustability,my only slight complain is that the cords are very long for most people thats good but for me im very close to my pc and xbox so i gets tangled with all the other cords i have, but thats just for me most people will love the long cords.it even sounds amazing when i listen to music on them.overall i could not ask for more im surprised its not over 100 bucks.get it now!!!!!

What's great about it: The sound quality is amazing, and it plugs in to your USB port so you dont have to worry about batteries.
What's not so great: There are alot of wires to hook up.
I bought this headset a couple of months ago to play Modern Warfare 2, and i have to say I am very pleased with the purchase. The sound quality is great, and you dont have to worry about batteries. The seperate voulume controls for chat and in game audio is nice. the only downside I would say is you do have to hook up a bunch of wires, but besides that I would say a great buy.
