"Do NOT buy an LG refrigerator. They are a complete piece of junk.
They look nice; they're poorly made.
I've had many things break: freezer fan, icemaker and now the mother board that controls refrigeration.
I'm not the only one. Google LG refrigerators and read posts on various sites. Similar, very persistent problems.
It's a complete piece of junk.
Stay far, far, far away from LG refrigerators."

"We purchased our LG french door refrigerator about 9 months ago and we are thrilled with it. It's spacious storage in the top refrigerated section is wonderful. The shelves can be adjusted & located in the position that best serves your needs. This is a bonus on those occasions you have larger items to store. The shelves on each door are also adjustable. The freeze is very spacious. We do alot of BBQ's in the summer, so the 'ice plus' feature has been a life saver, we just plan a few days ahead and we have extra ice on hand. There has not been one person through my house since we purchased this LG that hasn't fallen in love with it (and we have had several BBQ's & open houses with 40+ people)"

"My husband and I recently purchased the LG french door refrigerator. This is the best refrigerator we have ever purchased. The space is wonderful and we love the deli drawer. You can fit so much in it and everything is not on top of each other. It sounds a little beep when you leave the doors open which is a real plus. I love the drawer freezer. There is nothing about this frige that we don't love."

Great Purchase 09/09/2007

"We have had this refrigerator for about 8 months and have had no trouble with it. We love the french doors and fridge on top, very useful and easy access. You don't have to open both doors at the same time but when you do it's quite easy to get things in and out. It has a serving tray storage drawer in the fridge as well that is great for preparing platters. The bottom freezer door tilts open for better access and has a large drawer with divider as well as a small rack and a smaller sliding drawer. We can fit a lot more food in it than our last freezer. We are very happy with the water in the door and the ice in the freezer as it gave us more room in both the refrigerator and the freezer. All in all, a great purchase and we will definately buy from LG again!"

"About three months after purchasing the refrigerator the compressor failed completely destroying the food in the fully loaded refrigerator.
The repair technician found it difficult to find a replacement compressor, but after one week one was located at a long distance from my home. After the installation of that new compressor it was found that it was also defective.
A decision was eventually made to replace the complete refrigerator. In all, I was without a refrigerator for about a month.
After four months thus far, the new refrigerator is still working. Keeping my fingers crossed."
