What's great about it: Great sound, Great low notes, Great high notes
What's not so great: None 4 me
"I got thesesin hear headphones as a gift. I already knew bose had great sound. When i put these in they were extremelycomfortable, fit great with the adjusting silicone tips, they were noise canceling, and best of all they sounded geat. I never knew headphones could sound like this. Bose products change the sound experience. Who ever likes music must buy these!"

"The three sizes of earbud tips were perfect for attaining the best sizing for the inside of my ears. I tried jumping up and down, jogging, and running, and still these earbuds never fell out. The sound quality is absolutely astounding. The base really comes through in a way that small earphones have never been able to deliver, and the music is richer. So much richer that you simply have to hear it to believe it, as cliche as that may be. The carrying case is handy, too. Worth the money."

What's great about it: comfort,durability,nice sound, very good value for price

"the best head phones i have ever bought!!!!!!!! Over the head headphones are still better but these are better. They are better because they are portable,they are good for riding around in the car they block out all the sound of people talking in the car. i bought these headphones and when i put them on and started my music and i couldn't hear anybody talking. these are the best in ear headphones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! could product"

WAIT... GREAT BUT READ 1st

What's great about it: Mid Range, Highs GREAT, Bass OK
What's not so great: STAYING IN EAR- THEY WILL NOT
"Sound- VERY Good better than Shure ($100 price range)
Low Mid Range to Highs are the best- as good or better than VEY expensive Headphones (any kind)
Bass is OK, they will produce static if you push the base (SANSA View MP3, iPod- 16gig, Equalizer) but as good as or better than any In-Ear phones I have tried(many)
HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
THEY WILL NOT STAY IN EAR- YOU MUST TRY THEM B/4 BUYING. Walking, jogging they come out- not all the way. I tried ALL sizes of buds. MUST pull off ear bud, clean off, clean & dry ear, then reinsert. It happens about twice a mile when jogging- more if you sweat more then I."

What's great about it: Quality of the sound, no need to plug your ears with the bud to get good sound
What's not so great: The striped white/black wires
"These earphones have lived up to my expectations. I had assumed that if Bose only makes one in-ear earphone, they are satisfied with it's performance. So far, I'm very happy with the improvement of the sound from the ear buds that came with my iPod. I haven't tried anything more expensive than these. Perhaps better sound is available for a much higher price. But I suspect that the iPod is already the weak-link in the system, and that there will be diminishing returns on more expensive headphones.
Not having to plug my ear canal to get good sound is a plus for me. I'm not using them where I need ambient noise attenuation, and I don't like the feel of having my ears plugged. I find that feeling tiresome, and actually detracts from my enjoyment of the music. Having my ears plugged is definitely an unnatural feeling, which would not be there in a live performance.
About the only think I don't like about these, is the black/white striped wires. Those don't look very nice. It makes it look like they were lashed up using hookup wire bought from Radio Shack."

"The headphones were great while they lasted. Great sound. Great pitch. But they didnt even last a year. I got them in July. And they stoped working in January. And for about a month the right one was the only one that worked. Then a few weeks before they stopped working I had to hold onto the conecting cord so i cud hear it through the right headphone. Then they finally just stopped working all together."

Doesn't last long

What's great about it: Sound quality is great
What's not so great: The head phones won't last more than a year.
"I had to replace one set of head phones within two months because they completely stop working. The end connection wiring came lose and the sound would come in and out. My product was still under warranty which I sent to bose and they did replace the product for free. However the second pair did exactly the same thing after 11 months. The sound comes in and out and the phones don't work any more. I listen to my headphones about 5 times a week, the sound was great while they worked but for the money you pay you would expect them to last a lot longer. I was disappointed that the headphones couldn't make further than a year."

"Make sure you do extensive online research of these earphones before you buy them. You will see there is a common problem with the wires near the jack breaking. This is exactly what happened with mine. This occured within a year after buying, after normal use. All of a sudden the sound in one ear would go in and out. The sound would only come back from moving the jack around. Great sound, but poor durability. I would expect more from Bose, especially for this price."

Amazing Headphones

What's great about it: Sound Quality, shaped silicone tips, durability, no outside noise, loud to you at soft volumes
What's not so great: The cords are rather thin, i thought that would mess me up, but it didn't.
"i've had these for about 4 years. They are amazing sound quality for the first year, i worked out everywhere in them with little care for the headphones and a baby chewed on them... after a year, my brother used it while landscaping and constuction for 2 years. for about 6 months, its been in a garage, and than i've had it for the next 6 monthes and they still sound as great as when i got them, though i'm using uncomfortable in ear tips from different headphones.. Just ordered 2 sets of white silicone tips from bose's website at a reasonable price if you lose or tear them.
for sound quality, they are excellent, good bassy sound, and loud. just a rather thin cord, that might get stripped. very durable. well worth the price."

"I have owned these headphones for about 2 years now so that should give me some good experience for a review. I'm an avid biker and go the the gym often. Immediately after purchasing these I lost the storage case for them so they have been tossed around frequently. Rarely a day goes by that I don't use them.
The pros would have to be the sound quality by far. If you compare them to the traditional sets that come with players there is no comparison. The bass tickles your ear until you get used to it. The fit for me is perfect. I usuall have to get snagged on something for them to come out. I use them on the bike and the wind noise is almost nothing compared to other models I have tried. My dad buys cheap pairs and I let him try them on and then turn a song on and he immediately could tell a sound difference for the good. I told him you get what you pay for.
The cons would have to be consistant with what most others are saying. The initial problem I had was at the base of the plug it began to wear and expose the wires. I used some electrical tape and that has seemed to keep that problem at bay for quite some time now. Also, there should be some adhesive that comes with these. The ear bud inserts seem to pop off with little effort. The fact that they're transulecent makes them VERY difficult to find. Considering they only come with a single set of each size scares me about losing one.
My advice is that they are worth it for the sound quality but wear the cable inside your shirt if you're in an area that you could easily snag them on something. For me it was always the handles of drawers around the kitchen. It never fails. 2 yrs is pretty good so far though for the sound quality I get."

What's great about it: Design of the ear piece and 3 different earbuds included so that you get best fit for your ear size.
"I love my earbuds so much I bought these for my husband for Christmas. Comes w/ small/medium/large coversfor the earbuds so you get the best fit. Great for exercising because I can get the best fit and they arent falling out of my ears while I am trying to run on the treadmill. Plus I musnt forget that the sound is great. I can hear my music over the noise of the machines in the gym. Def worth the money!"

"This is my 3rd pair of Bose I love them so much.. I just buy an extra pair for home and then one pair is for my workouts. I also decided to buy the BEATS by Dr Dre the monster in ear headphones there about $149...I'll tell you I almost switched to them because the sounds was AWESOME but the biggest downfall in that was they kept falling out of my ears and they hurt soo much then I put my BOSE back on and I fell back in love."

What's great about it: Rich warm detailed sound and excellent build quality
What's not so great: Tends to favor the low end and the earbuds may not fit perfectly.
"I have given these headphones a great amount of listening time. They are an excellent improvement over several lesser earbuds including ones that ship with iPods and other popular MP3 players. The sound is best described as "warm". They tend to favor the lower end of the sound spectrum but I feel that they do not come off as overly "boomy". The midrange is rich and full and the higher frequency are crisp but refrain from being bright. The sound is not fatiguing and when listened to for several hours will provide an enjoyable listening experience. Some listeners may desire a little less bass, however I am not one of them. I am not going to knock these headphones for not canceling outside noise as they are not designed to do so.
I have a particular issue with the right bud falling out. I guess my right ear seems to fall between the medium and large bud. It does not happen frequently, however I am usually stationary when listening and not moving around often. I could see it being an issue if I were to use these at the gym instead of my normal gym headphones. It is possible other users will experience something similar to this.
Overall, these are excellent headphones and I am expecting years of enjoyment out of them."

What's not so great: Rare loss of silicone ear attachment if left hanging loose around neck
"We have a drawer full of ear buds, which go unused, because Bose are all one should ever need. The sound, fit and comfort are superlative. At first $100 seems like a lot, but once used, the value becomes clear. Also, the neck support is great and silicone ear attachments (sm, med & lg) are replaced for free. One cannot go wrong with these superior ear buds!"
