Work alright, not a good buy though

"When my last part of headphones died while on vacation, I got these as a quick replacement. They are a a decent pair of earbuds for not too much, but they don't have much going for them. First off, even with the three different nub sizes, I can never get these to quite fit in my ears, so the sound quality and volume ends up being quite poor. Secondly, the cord for the right bud is longer then the left, as the instructions say you wrap that one behind your neck. But the difference in the cord length isn't long enough, so turning my head causes the right one to just pop out of my ear."

headphones are pretty good

What's great about it: Good sound, especially good bass.
What's not so great: Right ear phone goes bad after a while.
"I bought these earphones about a year ago and they worked fine. I use them every day on the bus to school and they cancel out the outer sounds pretty well. Lately though I've been noticing that the right earphone is not as loud as the left one, but the left one isn't much louder so the sound quality is still pretty fine and I still use them. You can't expect perfection for 30$. I still have warranty on them so I'll exchange them in the next month or so. Other than that for their price the headphones are pretty well made. They have a great sound quality and are very comfortable."

What's great about it: fit good, good bass.
What's not so great: cord too long.
"These are great ear phones. They produce clean sound at any volume level. The cord is a bit long and sometimes gets annoying. Overall these are great and i would recommend them to anyone."

What's great about it: at least these fit my ears
What's not so great: the right side doesnt last
"i agree with the other reviews about the 1 short 1 long cord making you use the extender a lot, like going to the gym or putting it in your pants pocket instead of your shirt. My biggest complaint is the right earphone going bad after a short time. I was glad someone else had problems i thought it was just me. I too bought a second 1 and sure enough the same dang problem and another 35 dollars wasted. Want to try Sony next with the additional ear adapters like this one has."

Decent for what they're worth

What's great about it: Sound quality
What's not so great: extender
"It has good sound for what can be expected of a $30 pair of earbud headphones. It also has an extendable cord which is nice if you use it. However, if you prefer the longer length cord, during exercise or other various activities that require movement, the weight of the extender bouncing around has a tendency to pull the headphones out of your ears."

What's great about it: nothing good to say
"the right earbud goes dead after about a month of two of use. work great for the first couple weeks but then they die and just sound horrible. i have had two pairs thinking maybe i just got a defective faulty pair the first time. not the case. at 30$ a pop i wouldnt waste my money, especially if you plan on using them more than once a week. go with something else"

What's great about it: sound quality
What's not so great: cable
"These are good for people looking for decent earphones at a reasonable price.
Could use a better quality for the cable material. It gets messy and also the earphones slip out while walking/running."

"i bought these about a month ago to replace my skull candys and they look and sound great. they've got lots of bass. but the left headphone flickers a lot and you have to have the cord in the exact right position for it to work. i like the extender. they're really comfortable, you don't tired of wearing them. overall a pretty good set of headphones."

Great sound for the price
02/07/2009
By code012

What's great about it: Price, Good bass, Lightweight, 4ft long, Asymmetric cord length
What's not so great: Colored sound
"I do audio engineering time to time. My Shure E3c needed a repair, so I needed a backup earphone. I already had many other monitoring-purpose headphones so I decided to get a consumer-level earphone for my work (which also involves earphone everday), since I'm gonna get my Shure earphone soon.
You can't expect a flat-freq. sound from $30 earphone. It captures enough sounds for all-purpose and surprisingly it captures bass very well, especially for the price. It's more like a plug-and-listen type of earphone, so you don't have to play around with EQ-ing so much until you make it sound worse; just plug it and enjoy.
If it doesn't sound good, try different placement because these earbud headphones makes huge difference by the placement inside of your ears. Even earbud itself can be a big influence on the sound, so make sure you try all of them.
Asymmetrical cord can be very useful if you know how to use 'em, but if you don't know how, it could work against you. It's not a rocket science so it's not a huge plus or minus. What I really like about this earphone is that it's so much lighter than the most earphones out there, it sits on my ear well. Long cord length (4ft.) is also a big plus.
I just wish that it came with a good case instead of a pouch, but I can't complain much with this price and sound."

Inferior sound, tangly cords
02/03/2009
By nutmeag

What's great about it: Fit, length of cord
What's not so great: Sound, tangled-up mess for a cord
"I immediately liked the fit of these. Much comfier than my other ear buds and they also seemed to block out nearby sounds. Starting up my music, however, left a lot to be desired. The sound is tinny and quiet--I had to crank up the volume to high just to hear anything. I switched to my other ear buds (Philips Ear Bud Headphones with Virtual Surround Sound) for a comparison and noticed the difference at once. I could turn the volume back down, and there was more of a stereo sound to the music.
While comfy, I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, especially for the price. I'm going back to my better-sounding (though short-lifed) Philips ear buds."

Great earphones?
01/18/2009
By AdamPrice

What's great about it: Huge improvement over standard earbud headphones that come with your iPod or other mp3 players.
What's not so great: Cord Set-up, Bass, 24k Gold Connector
"I agree with many other reviewers to the MAJOR PROBLEMS with the CORDS on these earphones. But to top it all off, after over a year of use, sound output DIED in the right earphone, due the connector. I suspect the 24K gold plating is too soft and not durable for long-lasting use, although on visual inspection, there is NOTHING visibly different or wrong to the human eye.
Pros: 1. Comes with a neato earphones-only plastic case and soft velvet pouch for earphones and cords. 2. Much improved sound isolation than standard earbuds. 3. Improved bass over standard earbuds. 4. DUAL cord length allows you to have player either on your arm or in your pants' pocket.
Cons: 1. Asymmetric cord length causes CONSTANT TUGGING on your left ear. Philips could have integrated a CLIP to fix this IRRITATING problem. 2. The ULTRA THIN cord width and tackiness causes the cords to TANGLE ALL THE TIME. Expect to spend an extra 2-5 minutes getting these straightened EVERY TIME you pull them out of storage, compared to others. 3. 24K gold connector sound output died on one side. 4. The price I payed for all this frustration. $29.99?
I am now using a superior AND inexpensive pair of Skullcandy INK'Ds with better fitting earbuds, better sound isolation, better bass, and a better cord set-up."

Best Earphones for the Price!
01/09/2009

What's great about it: Sound is Rich, Bass is great! Price!
What's not so great: The shorter left wire than the right side of phones.
"I just got these right around the New Year. I was thinking of buying the shures se210k, but I did not have the money yet. I just had a $40 gift card for Best Buy. I said I need something better than the Skullcondy Ink'D ones I had. So I looked to see what they had and I see these ones. I read the package and said extra bass on it. So I got them taking the chance the would be good. Well, I was wrong. They are the BEST ones I ever had. I read some of the reviews for the shure se210k and alot people had lower opinions of them than these ones. I am afraid to even try the shures now. Now, for the cord. A little strange but I think the short cord is for Armbands for exercising. I have a zune 120 and thinking of getting an Armband for the gymn. So these will be great for that. I might just buy another pair of these just to have on the side incase something does happen to the ones I got. Heck, for the price another pair is fine."

Great Headphones
12/31/2008
By Tirabi

What's great about it: Very good sound for the price. Better than most in-ear headphones
What's not so great: They don't sell replacement silicone ear inserts.
"I love everything about these headphones. I've had mine for over a year and have had no problems.
The wires aren't "sticky" as people say. They have a higher coefficient of friction but that is on purpose. It allows you to snake the wires up your shirt or coat and they stay in place. You're not always readjusting them since they don't slide back down your clothing and pull the buds out of your ears.
I love the cord extension. I can use the shorter version when I have my iPod strapped to my arm or in a shirt pocket. Or if I need more length I can attach the extension."

What's great about it: cheap, good bass, good highs, durable, etc.
What's not so great: around-the-neck setup
"These are really good earbuds, they block out almost all sound and are very durable. I am still in school, and i use them for 80min every day on the bus, and i have had them for 1 year +. Now that i have had them, though the left one flickers sometimes, but definitely a very good product for the price."

Unbelievable!

What's great about it: Really nice clear sound, bass just screams "get in his/her head!"
What's not so great: "Around the back of the neck" wiring, doesn't use the right angle jack but the straight jack instead
"***READ READ READ! THOROUGH REVIEW HERE!***
I had to get a nice set of earphones to replace my Sony earphones that went out in one ear. I was skeptical on buying this at first since I never tested these out before. And man am I glad I got these! The sound is so clear that the music you listen to brings out the minor instruments you've never noticed was there. They come with 3 size earbuds, and the ones that were already on the earphones fit my ears perfectly! Outer sound (people, vehicles, etc) are drowned out so the only thing you'll hear is either your music or sniffing, coughing, or messing around with the earphones, for example: moving the wires around.
I don't know what other reviewers were doing when they say they fall out of their ears while doing activities but these have yet to fall out of my ears. They fit so perfectly that the bass just screams "push!" The earphones also come with a little pouch and a casing to hold your replacement earbuds.
I am loving my music so much more now!
The only drawback I have with these is the headphone jack is not the "Right Angle" shaped jack. Instead, it's the straight type which may be a problem in the long run if you constantly position your music player in your pocket the wrong way. Another issue (minor) is how the wiring is. These have the "back of your neck" wiring instead of the equal length traditional style.
One more thing, shopping here online, you can get them for $19.99 but in store they are $24.99 (without tax, there's no taxes here in Delaware) :D"

What's not so great: one speaker blows out after about four months
"These are awesome earphones. For the price they have very good sound and a lot of bass. i listened to mine every day for about an hour. however after four months one of the speakers blew out. This may have been just because i listen to my earphones for an hour a day. Overall these are great earphones for their price. i would buy them if you want nice earphones with a lot of bass."

What's great about it: Clarity for the price, 3 size buds.
What's not so great: Not as much bass as Skullcandy Smokin Buds, doesn't isolate sound very well, two piece cord tangles and is way too long!
"These are nice quality buds for the price. They sound clear but don't have that much bass and don't isolate sound as great as the Skullcandy Smokin Buds. I also don't like the two piece cord which seems pretty pointless to me. For the price these are nice sounding buds as long as you aren't looking for something with lots of bass. There are the Skullcandy Smokin Buds if you want bass and better sound isolation."

What's great about it: 3 different sized ear pieces
"I bought these to use with my MP3 Player. I am not sure why MP3 manufacturers think that peeps who buy their products have gigantic ears. The earbuds that came with the unit were too big for my ears so I bought the Phillips Ear Buds instead. They fit perfectly in my ears and the sound is amazing."
