The Nintendo DS Lite provides all the wonderful features of your Nintendo DS, such as color screens, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and touch-screen gameplay in a smaller, sleeker design, and now in cool new colors. The DS Lite is less than two-thirds the size and more than 20 percent lighter than the original Nintendo DS! Aside from improved portability, the DS Lite allows you to adjust the screen's brightness to four different levels to accommodate a variety of lighting conditions. The microphone is located in the center, LED lights are clear and visible and the start and select buttons have been repositioned for easier access. There's even a removable cover included to protect the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot from dust and debris when you're not playing.

bought this for my 5 year old, this is so much fun that my 3 year old and I play it as well I can't wait until his birthday so I can have an excuse to buy him one.

What's not so great: easy to break
good for playing games but you have to buy a bunch of other apps. to play music or movies. easy for childern under the age of five to play and it is easy to break to screen.

What's great about it: Super easy to use, great battery life, has tons of different games
What's not so great: Attracts fingerprints, scratches easily
I love playing my DS lite. It's small so I can take it with me everywhere and it plays all the old Game Boy Advance games as well as the DS games. It's incredibly simple and has hundreds of different games for everyone. The only problems are really just cosmetic: the shiny black DS attracts fingerprints and it scratches pretty easily. Other than that, it's a great gaming system and not too expensive either! :)

What's great about it: Easy to set up, good battery life, Great variety of games
What's not so great: It does scratch (not noticable), you may lose the stylus pen.
I have had this Nintendo DS Lite since it came out. It has geat durability, and the games playable on the system are great. For the price, all you are getting is a game system, but its functionality and playability are amazing. If you are going for an interactive gaming system pick this over ones with just buttons, the touch screen on the bottom allows for more interaction and fun then other portable systems.

What's great about it: Plays hundreds of games
What's not so great: Breaks pretty easily
I bought this item about 2 years ago and It is a wonderful product! About a month after It was purchased, My dog chewed on it, snapping the hinge and breaking R-button. But even now, after being chewed on, It still works! I have had billions of games for it and currently only have 6, but no matter what type of gaming fan you are, the DS has pretty much every genre of game (examples; action, arcade, rpg, shooters, fighting). It is much better than the GBA, so if you were thinking about buying one(off a used game website, they don't make them anymore) go to the DS lite instead. It is much much better. The only bad experience I have had with my DS lite is that it broke.

What's great about it: I love the mind games that it offers
What's not so great: I imagine these can break very easily
I enjoy my ds for traveling, but I would invest some sort of hard case to protect it. I am an adult and I have dropped it a couple of times, but mine has always been in a case. Just over a year, I had a back light go out in one of mine, so I would get the plan to cover it, otherwise you are spending $130 again, $20 is a lot cheaper!

this is great.. i have 2 boys that love this, well 3 if you count my husband. its so easy to use even my 3 yr old can play this without any problems.. great selection of games including great classics.

first of all the ds is awsome. so awsome I have 2 the original fat silver one and the onyx one.these things are easy to lose becuase i have lost the onyx one like 3 times now. but overall it is very fun, you should get 1.

I was hesitant to buy a DS for a while, just recently I caved in and got one along with Pokemon Diamond ( I know, I'm lame ) since, I haven't done much anything besides game. I thought maybe the dual screen would be a negative; but I really like how they've worked things out. Looking forward to my new games I bought online to come in the mail.

What's great about it: It is pretty, and Has a good price.
What's not so great: Nothing! It's Amazing.
My boyfriend bought me my Nintendo DS and i haven't been able to set it down. It has a very long battery life. It is chrystal clear, and projects very good sound. i love my DS and i dont think ill ever put it down. The only thing i dont like about it, is i wish in some of the games you could use the touch screen more, but no big deal! Its Awesome. EVerytime i use it, i can sit and play and play and play and the best thing is, when it comes to the end of my battery life, it actually notifies me. This game is my favorite. I would MOST DEFINETELY recommend this to anyone. :)

What's great about it: Just about everything.
I bought this for my 6 year old last year for Christmas and found myself buying one for my 3 year old this Christmas. They LOVE the DS. I'm even thinking about getting myself one. There are TONS of great games to play on this system and I love the dual screens. Also the battery seems to last forever. My 3 year old will leave his on almost all day and I only have to charge it when he goes to bed at night. If you play Guitar Hero on it the battery won't last as long that's the only downfall of playing that game but overall I LOVE the DS Lite!

What's great about it: screen is nice and bright, long battery life, educational games available, fun to play for all ages
What's not so great: volume is not high enough on some games
i love it! i thought that i wouldn't like it as much but my sister got one for her birthday in late november and i played it once and was hooked :0) so my mom got it for me as an early christmas present.
there are so many games available i love the ones that help brainpower. but there are games that aren't just based on education too.
all of the games i've tried so far are very fun and i love the way the system is set up.
the only thing that i could say that possibly could be improved is the volume is not perfect on some games. it's fine on most games, but i find myself struggling to hear it on some games.
I would recommend this to a friend!
