What's great about it: Good size, touch screen, microphone, backwards compatible
What's not so great: cannot view flash files
"I've loved Nintendo products since the NES and Gameboy came out. The gameboy has only gotten better and better. There are a lot of fun games to play on the DS Lite. Sure, the graphics are not top quality but the fun factor is 110% there!"

What's great about it: light weight, easy to use
What's not so great: games can pop out of game bay with a very light tap
"This is a great system, it is reasonably priced, it has great game selection, and there is something in it for everyone. This system does a good job at incorperating it's unique features such as the microphone, the wi-fi, and the touch screen. One of the best things about the DS is that two people with two DS's can wireessly play against each other in a multiplayer mode with one copy of the game. This system also allows a player to go head to head with someone else world wide as long as they have access to a wi-fi connection. I use it as a way to keep in touch with my neice who lives out of state. The only complaint that I have about this system is that if you bump the game cartridge during gameplay, the game pops out unexpectedly. This is definately worth the money."

What's great about it: It has a bright screen...and it has 2 screens. The Ds lite has a touchscreen that is more interactive
What's not so great: The Ds Lite gets scratched pretty easily so you need to buy screen protecters and a case to protect the outside of it.
"I would reccomend this product because it is really interactive with kids with the touchscreen, pictochat, wireless gaming and more. I bought one and I play wirelessly with my friend all the time in the car on long trips. This would be my number 1 choice of gaming systems."

"Have been buying many Nintendo Systems and this is the best handheld ANY company has ever made. It even tops the PSP because its simpler to use. Great for little kids and games like Brain Age have increased my calculations speed by many times. Also I have dropped this numerous times with NO problems, very durable. I hope Nintendo keeps the systems coming cause if this is that good, how good will the next be?"

"the ds is my favorite handheld. the psp is really fancy and all with its graphics and movies; but i luve the ds. it's jsut a fun machine. there could be more games, a lot i'm not really interested in. but it's fun. and the battery lasts for a very long time."

What's great about it: Bright Screen, very responsive touch screen, sleek shape and design.
What's not so great: The buttons are a little small for big hands.
"The Nintendo DS lite is a great handheld system. I have had endless hours of fun playing with it. There are many games to choose from and each game finds unique ways to use the touch screen. The only thing that I would change on the DS lite is the button size, they are too small for me. Other than that I have no complaints with the system. If you are a die hard Nintendo fan or just looking for a small gadget to pass time the DS lite is an excellent product to own."

What's not so great: games sometimes pricey
"I really enjoy the DS Lite. It's compact and easy to take anywhere. The battery seems to last a really long time and I've never run out of juice while playing. The screens are crisp and clear and the touch-screen is very responsive. The available titles cover a very wide genre of gaming and you can find something for almost anyone. I also like the fact that it can play most of my older GBA games. Being able to play some multi-player games off on one cartridge without wires is awesome as well. Nintendo did a great job with this one."

"This system is lighter, brighter, and more compact than the original DS. The touch-screen interface makes it a breeze to pick up and start using right away. With a large following and a growing game library suited for all ages, there should be longevity in this system. The DS Wifi abilities allow you to play games with players nearby as well as across the globe at designated hotspots, which adds to the replay value of many games. My only complaint with this system is that it can become uncomfortable to handle with one hand while holding the stylus in the other."

"The Nintendo DS has a great selection of games, and many really make use of the innovative touch screen and microphone built into each one. Games like Brain Age have my wife addicted to Sudoku (which is part of the game), and because it uses the touch screen to enter the numbers, you just draw the number and it recognizes it. That ease of use made this the first game system my wife wanted one of for herself. The kids love the RPG and puzzle games, but there's something here for literally everyone. Note that the finish on the outside is a shiny fingerprint magnet, but the inside finish when the unit is open is matte."

Just touch the bottom screen with the stylus and move the game characters or move objects.
Lots of fun playing multiplayer using the built in WiFi features or enjoy a quick session of gaming on the go.
The included Pictochat software is also fun to just message or have a chat session with a group of other DS Lite users.
The DS has a large library of games, so you have a lot of variety to choose from."

"Last December we purchased a Nintendo DS Lite as a gift for our daughter. A couple of months ago, the screen froze and she was unable to continue playing the game. She would restart the system and this "freezing" would continue. I first turned to the original instruction manual for troubleshooting advice but was unable to fix the problem. I contacted Nintendo via phone and was assisted by a courteous customer service rep. Within minutes, the rep explained that a new Nintendo DS Lite would be shipped and that we should receive the replacement within 3-5 business days. We did & all that we had to do was ship the original, malfunctioning system, back to Nintendo (in the provided package, postage paid by Nintendo).
I was incredibly impressed with both the courteousness of the rep and the quick resolution. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this system as well as continue to buy from Nintendo again and again. Our next purchase this Christmas is going to be the Wii!"

"What's not to like about the DS Lite? It's compact, lightweight, and it has a great selection of games. My personal favorite is Big Brain Academy. Also, the DS is able to connect to the Wii through a Wi-Fi connection to play games such as Pokemon Battle Revolution. Aside from the Wii this is Nintendo's best edition to gaming ever."
