What's great about it: great price, lots of fun

"I bought the Wii because of the new lower price, hoping that it would inspire me to get into a regular work out routine...and it did! I love the games that come with the system, but I also bought the Wii Fit Plus and My Fitness Coach. The variety of activities makes it fun to work out...I now work out at least 5 times a week! Wii!!"

What's great about it: Good price, Plays CD front or back, controller holds up to toddler chewing on it, lol

"We are very pleased with our new wii! Even our niece who is four can play most of the games better than us and we don't even have to teach her how to play them. This is going to be a great way to stay in shape during the winter here in Alaska, since most days we can't even go outside."

What's great about it: I love moving with the game. You excercise and don't know it
What's not so great: battery life...get a charger

"I am over 50 and never thought I would enjoy video games. Now, I think everyone older should have a Wii. I got Wii fit plus and biggest loser, and Wii sports resort. Love them all. You can move and it knows if you aren't doing your part! The games are easy to learn and very addictive.
The batteries in the Wii remote don't last very long so a charger is needed. The batteries on the balance board are still working after using the board for three weeks, every day."

"i"m 39 and it's my first gaming system so I'm no gamer ... but it works well and is very fun for the whole family.. But it only comes with one remote and you need a least 2 to enjoy it with some Else"

"I bought this system a day after playing my SNES and decided it is time for a Wii. The day I purchased this system I got RE4 Wii Edition, a 2000pt card, and a classic controller. The Wii has impressed me for the past 3wks I've had it and is still my current favorite system so far. I must say I was a bit sceptical of the wii remote and toggle connection at first untill I played RE4 with it. I now have three Wii games and 7 Virtual Console games, but soon will have 4 Wii games, but another plus is the internet Channel on the Wii. So The last Nintendo console I had before this was a N64, but now I have the ultimate Nintendo Entertainment System."

"I bought the console with the Wii FIT, so far it is lots of fun. It was easy to set up and the price was really good. The graphics are on the childish side, don't quite get this why Nintendo didn't have more advanced graphics in this day and time. Overall good product for the price."

What's great about it: playing mario kart and getting a good excercise,experience
What's not so great: certain games, but system is fine.

"at first i didn't like the wii. i got it cause of mario kart. i love mario kart racing and the wheel adds an obvious feel to it. it comes with five games which is more than i can say about the ps3 and its overpricing. free online gaming access is great! i can't wait to see what wii fit 2 is like! i wish we could get a better version of air hockey for the system."

What's great about it: easy setup, fun & interactive interface, good games, can play games around the world
What's not so great: expensive, sometimes controls screw up, weird name(they should've stuck with the Revelution), can't play CDs or DVDs

What's great about it: Multi-player, work-out
What's not so great: Expensive accessories, DVD media?!? SD cards would have been more techy.

"WOW...now this is fun stuff. Got together with the neighbors and had them sync up their two controllers and we went at it with bowling, boxing, super smash brothers, and 4 person mario kart....AWESOME. I would love to invest in some of the accessories, but they are a bit on the expensive side, but that is to be expected with such a cheaply priced system. I really want to try the Star Wars games with lightsabers...

The motions on this system are really accurate, and yes like some people mention you can just wiggle the controller to get ti to do the same thing. BUT to experience the game fully you have to get involved. Bowling is really like bowling in an ally.....BUT you can also just toss the remote around lazily and do the same thing...lazy people geez.

Media is CD/DVD quality so careful with the discs...you think being 2009 that game makers could put games on memory sticks that wont scratch as easily, but maybe that is just the geek in me coming out.

Background: I am an extreme computer gamer so have a nice PC and 3D graphic games (Aion, Warhammer, AoC, EQ, Quake, Halo, Crysis, etc etc etc) and though this does compare close to those graphics, the game play is just more addicting in a different aspect. PC games are fun to play over the internet, the Wii in order to have the most fun is to be played in groups, more the merrier. So if you are planning to play this alone...get something else, unless you are using for exercise purposes only.

Overall though, this has to be the best gaming console since the original Nintendo system with the cartridges."

What's great about it: $199 Price Reduction!
What's not so great: Nothing!

"There is something about the smile on a person's face when they play the Wii... the grin, the truly interactive experience that you feel while you're playing the games. That is what separates the Wii from the other systems. Sure, the graphics are not super spectacular, but it makes up for it in the fun factor. Soon there will be the Wii HD coming, be on the lookout in the next year or two. In the meantime, the price just dropped to $199, great! Some of the best games out include Wii Resort, The Legend of Zelda, Cursed Mountain. Toward the holiday, Super Mario Bros. Wii is coming, along with the Winter games, that work with the Wii balance board! I highly recommend this system for any age. It will definitely put a smile on your face!"

What's not so great: antenna wire seems too thin, no hdmi output

"Owned a Wii for 6 mo. Have not had a single game crash nor lock up. The antenna wire is very thin but I have not had the need to replace antenna yet. I figured antenna would break easily. Ive dropped antenna 3 or 4 times will moving from tv to tv and still working great.

Great 4+ player games great for all ages.
Fun to play when you have people over.
easy to use and fun."
