Designed for kids ages five to 95, the revolutionary Nintendo Wii isn't just a next-generation system — it's an all-generation system. The innovative minds at Nintendo discovered that the evolution of gaming has made video games very complex, and those who once enjoyed playing games with their entire families have become alienated. The Wii is pronounced "we" for a reason — it symbolizes Nintendo's driving philosophy: this system is for everyone. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a casual player or a grandparent who'd like to play a game with your grandchild, the Wii will provide you with a wondrous experience that returns gaming to simpler times while also defining a new age of game development. In addition to amazingly realistic next-generation graphics and a variety of outstanding titles to choose from, the true magic of the Wii starts right in the palm of your hand — the controller. The unique Wii Remote controller is wireless and motion-sensitive, allowing you to use everyday motions to simulate the motions in your game. The Nunchuk controller attaches to the Wii Remote and uses an analog stick along with motion-sensing technology to assist in character movement. Imagine yourself in the thrilling world of Wii Sports, the awesome, action-packed sports game included with your Wii console. Using your Wii Remote controller, you'll chase down powerful tennis serves, add touch to your golf swing to avoid tricky sand traps, overpower speeding fastballs to knock them out of the baseball park and more. The Wii Channel Menu, which is the first screen that will appear on your TV, provides a simple user interface that includes the Video Console Channel, News Channel, Forecast Channel, Photo Channel, Internet Channel, Wii Message Board and the Wii Shop Channel. Using the Mii Channel, you can even create playable caricatures of yourself called Miis that you can use in a variety of Wii applications. With an innovative motion-sensitive controller and the Wii Channel Menu, the Wii will truly make you feel less like just a player and more like you're really part of the game.

What's great about it: Great Fun for the entire family. Can bring lots of laughs & you don't realize you're being more active. What's not so great: I couldn't find anything not so great unless you want to count the sore muscles .. It is a lot of fun
"I purchased my Wii when they first came out so I have had mine quite a while. It is durable because I have tossed it in a bag and took it back and forth on several trips. This Game System is perfect for younger kids, all the way up to anyone who can just move their arms. It is a fun way to keep you moving, without just the boring everyday walks. I can actually build up a sweat in a game of tennis and have my heart rate up as if I am jogging. There is so many different activities and a NEVER ENDING supply of games. I Absolutely Love It Love it Love it!!!!!"

What's great about it: Get's You Up & Moving What's not so great: Graphics are OK, Isn't compatible with some Wireless routers
"I bought the Wii Fit bundle for my mom, to work out on. She has high blood pressure. Wii Fit Has great routines, I even use it sometimes. The Wii itself works great. I did have some trouble connecting it to a Linksys Wireless N router. Called Linksys customer support & they were no help. Then called Nintendo for help. They were nice and they did try to help me as much as they could. (for like 2 hours) Unfortunately they couldn't get it to connect either. I had an old Wireless G Router laying around & got it to connect to it. The Wii isn't very great when it comes to graphics, but I guess if your not much of a gamer it doesn't matter, that's what PS3 & Xbox are for."

What's great about it: more interactive, easy enought that small children can use it What's not so great: only gave it 4 stars for design because it can't play DVD's without special software
"I got the Wii for my son for his birthday and he loves it. I love that it is simple to use but still fun. My 3 yr old can play some of the games on it too. He loves to box with his older brother in Wii Sports. I love it as well. I like the fact that it is more interactive than just pushing button like other game systems. The only downfall I've seen is that it can't play DVD movies. It can play AVI formatted video if it's on an SD card. There is software out there that you can install on it to make it play DVD's but it's about the same price as a new standard DVD player so I'll just go buy a new DVD player."

Very Fun Product!02/04/2010

What's great about it: Easy setup. Great price and the games are less expensive than other systems.
"My wife and I bought the Wii for both games and home fitness. It is the most versatile system we have found that lets us enjoy playing games and doing workout at home. We have had no issues at all with this system. The games for the Wii seem to be cheaper that other gaming consuls. We have had the unit for one month now and we love playing, working out and competing against one another. It’s fun for all and we enjoy having it."

What's great about it: easy setup. I was up and running very quickly What's not so great: sometimes slow response to controls
"I purchased this item in order to get some activity for the winter season when my normal outdoor activities were not available. So far, I am pleased with the level of activity in using the game system. My only real problem is the sometimes slow response of the controllers. For example, in the boxing game, I find that I have trouble with quick jabs. The system doesn't seem to accept them. It also seems that the instructions are rather sparse. It took me a couple of games to figure out how to throw different pitches in baseball. (Curve, Screwball, etc.) I couldn't find any instructions showing this. Overall, I think the system is good. The graphics are good and the action is interesting."

What's great about it: Fun to use and easy setup and configuration. What's not so great: Comes with only one remote.
"Well to start the Wii Console is a great value! The Wii works for all types of events: Parties, Competitions, Fitness, group or alone adventure and role playing games. Overall the console is a great product. The only problems I have found are the video and processing power are not up to par. I think it would be better to package the console with two remotes to allow newer user's more gaming options from the start."

What's great about it: Provides entertainment wtih action What's not so great: Haven't found anything
"Wii Sports,. especially the bowling, provides us entertainment, exercise, and aids in eye-hand coordination. We are two senior citizens who are new to the Wii experience and love everything about it! Even though we have been unable to bowl at a bowling facility for many years, the Wii bowling is a good substitute. Great product."

What's great about it: Lots Of Fun, Backwards Compatible With Game Cube Games and Controls For All Ages What's not so great: Graphics, Doesn't Play DVDs, Online Play
"This console is lots of fun for everyone to enjoy from kids to adults. Games are very easy to learn. The reliability on the Wii is very high. I have not had any issues with mine so far. Syncing the Remote Controls and learning the menus can be a little tricky but every console has its ways in syncing remotes. It generally comes with One remote, None unchuck and Wii sports games. If you have an HDTV make sure it has standard composite inputs (Yellow, White, Red) Otherwise you will need to pick up the Component cables which I recommend. The online play is not up to par with it's competitors but that's what you get for a free service. I gave the Wii a 3 for "Value for price" because even though it is 200 bucks it still does not even play DVDs and you will have to buy a whole lost of extra added things for different games anyways."
