What's great about it: easy to use, no wires to controllers
What's not so great: antenna wire seems too thin, no hdmi output

"Owned a Wii for 6 mo. Have not had a single game crash nor lock up. The antenna wire is very thin but I have not had the need to replace antenna yet. I figured antenna would break easily. Ive dropped antenna 3 or 4 times will moving from tv to tv and still working great.

Great 4+ player games great for all ages.
Fun to play when you have people over.
easy to use and fun."

"this system is very fun to play.. Ive had mine for about 2 years now and i still love to play it!! and i have xbox360 nd ps3... bowling is sooo realistic its crazy.. AND PEOPLE NEED TO REMEMBER THAT NINTENDO HAS NEVER BEEN A GAMING COMPANY THAT RELIES ON GRAPHICS TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY IT!!! NINTENDO COMPANY ALWAYS HAS THE FUNNEST GAMES AND THATS WAT THEY DO!! What's not so great: some games need indvidual controllers for multiple players.

What's great about it: Fun for kids, great dust magnet (keeps the other electronics clean)
What's not so great: Expensive, controls, games or lack thereof

"I've owned the Wii for 3 years now. I've played it (Wii games) for maybe 20 hours. All I can say is that I was fooled. First of all, Nintendo is very misleading with the use of the controls, the waggle commands might as well be buttons. For example wii tennis, looks fun but when you actually play it you find out all you have to do is shake the controller at the right time. Basically all games are that way. Second, the Wii is a gamecube with the "motion control" attachment and a new price-tag. No need for he DVD player because it doesn't play DVD movies and there aren't many games that take advantage of the extra storage; might as well be the original 1.5 inch gamecube disks. Plus there's like 80MB of total ram (system + graphics) so even going online sucks and there's not enough ram to really do anything, and not to forget the negative effects on the games. Plus the weak CPU and GPU which limits creativity in games. And there's the price they start you out at $250 for the system and controller and nun-chuck. If you want to play with 3 more people that's another $180. Then the batteries, infinite$, or rechargeable ~$60 for the 4 controllers. And now that there's wii motion plus it's another $80. So in total for 4 people and the system that's $570. For me it's become a very expensive emulator, because the most fun i've had with it is playing the old games that I used to play 10-15 years ago on the virtual console. Mario Galaxy is fun for a little while, and if you've played wii sports, you've played almost any other (made for wii) game. I wish i'd written this review 3 years ago, but I didn't think it was fair so early. I regret ever buying one so save yourself the money and buy a baseball batt and a basketball or whatever instead, the real thing is 100x more fun. Oh right, get a PS3 or Xbox360 they have better motion things coming out and they're a better value. You get Graphics + functionality + games + better motion controls + cryengine3 (look it up)."

"Now i think people expect to much from this from some of the reviews i have read. If you want serious gaming and graphics then playstation or xbox is the way to go. I have a psp3 and the graphics are killer but that is what it is made for..

The wii is just downright fun to play with. I was in my living room sweating from boxing, then stretching to some yoga then bowling with my wife, then off to ski and tennis.. I am 38 and love this stupid thing.

Games for everything is expensive these days..."

What's not so great: Graphics, Controllers, Price of Games, noisy........

"The wii is a complete disappointment. The graphics are terrible, the controllers are not rechargeable (unless you buy a rechargeable dock) The games are way too expensive for what you get out of them. I bought Call of duty World at war for the wii and it froze, glitched, and the graphics were disappointing. I bought the same game for the PC and it worked great, no problems. When ever you play a game you can hear a loud irritating noise from the disk player. The only thing that the wii can run decently is Mario Games. The wii is only good for young kids. The xbox 360 and ps3 are so much better and worth the extra money."

"I got my wii a few months ago (January) and i loved it! I like playing wii fit, and other games on it . Its great! But I prefer my psp over it. Why so? Because well there are better games on the psp (GOD OF WAR,Tony Hawk's Project 8 etc.) But I also like my wii. I reccomend wii. But I prfer psp."

What's great about it: Great new experience of gaming, Compatible with Nintendo Gamecube games
What's not so great: Cannot play DVD's or CD's

"The Nintendo Wii was the first new generation console I ever recieved, and I enjoy it every time I play it. It brings a new excitement to the gaming world that I think everyone should experience. Somtimes I feel like I'm actually inside a game because I get so thrilled. All of that is because the creators of this console made it possible for all gamers to play this to its fullest potential whether your 3 or 103. What it lacks in graphics compared to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, it makes up in creativity. I personally think that the Wii dominates both consoles and if you're looking in to this product, you should buy it. I hope someone finds this review helpful with their time."

What's not so great: It can sometimes freeze while you are in the middle of a game

"My experience with the nintendo wii has been great, and it is perfect for family game night, or parties. Another great thing is if you had a nintendo gamecube you can play your gamecube games on the wii console. It is also surprisingly affordable. As there are good things there are also bad things, the wii will sometimes freeze in the middle of your game. If you are playing and the electricity goes out you have to unplug the wii for two minutes before you can turn it back on. If you ask me I would totally recommend it to anyone who thinks about buying one."

What's great about it: its so different
What's not so great: not the best selection of games, sometimes the sensor messes up.

"this is a very good system. i got it for christmas about 2 and a half years ago and we love it. the selection of games isnt the best, but it still has some good ones, and some ones specifically for wii, exampke mario kart wii or ssb brawl. i had to send it in once for like 80 bucks cus it stopped reading games and i couldnt play but the service was great. it said allow about 2 weeks and we got it back in like 5 days. i know this isnt nintendos fault but i dont like that for guitar hero world tour and the other 1s you have to put a wiimote into the instrument, unlike the ps3 and 360. but overall i love it."

"Nintendo has once again owned the competition! The Wii is completely different from all other game systems and that's what makes it so fun! It's got a giant collection of games to buy and 4 people can play at once. The only downside I can think of is that the Wii isn't good for hardcore gamers. That's because Nintendo doesn't have a lot of violent, intense games for the Wii. For the average gamer, though, the Wii is great!!!!!!!"
