What's great about it: family-friendly, adult-friendly, unique experience

"We got the Wii last November. I don't play video games but I liked the uniqueness of the Wii in that you can jump around and play. It can be used as a form of exercise. Also, you can have multiple players and it can be really fun for the whole family. For example, we got the dance dance revolution, and in no time we had everybody up and doing the moves! (even if you're choreographically challenged). The bad thing is you have to get multiple accessories (controllers) for multiple players and that can get expensive. So be prepared to make an investment with the Wii but offers a nice variety from the other game consoles and is still a novelty."

What's great about it: Compact, easy to set up, easy to play!!
What's not so great: Comes with only 1 controller

"Wow...I loved the Nintendo back in the 80's and have fallen more in love with the Nintendo Wii. I played 1 time on my friends wii and went out the next day and bought my own! The directions are very simple and easy to follow...even for my 4 year old!!! Beware...the sports package is addicting! I found myself up at 2am playing with my teens!! It's great family fun that I would recommend to anyone! My entire family has had a blast creating our own individual characters too! You just can't go wrong with the wii!! Great for brining your family together for good clean family fun!!!!"

What's great about it: Easy to learn and use. Fun for everyone. Wifi.
What's not so great: Controllers don't do so well with larger tv's (73")

"Before I purchased this I was thinking it wasn't going to be very fun, but after turning it on I quickly changed my mind.

My whole family was able to play immediately. The setup was quick and easy. When I bought it I got an extra controller.

The graphics were much better than expected, even when stretched to fit on my 73" 1080P tv. Nintendo did a great job here.

The controllers are fun and easy to use, especially when playing a golf or baseball game! The wifi allows you to connect to the internet and read news or check the weather. You can even easily download more games directly to the console.

The games are much funner to play standing up and you get exercise that way anyways.

The only problem I have found was that when using it with a really large tv (mine is 73") the controllers seem a bit jumpy when pointing. I have tried moving closer and also changing the sensitivity of the sensor bar, but no luck. All of the games are still very playable though, It is just a bit different than using say a 30" tv.

This is a truly great console that can be fun for everyone!"

"The wii is fun to play sporting games with like tennis, bowling, and golf. But for real gamers the wii is childish at best. Madden for the wii is a great disappointment."

"The WII system has brought back family game night to our house. Not only do you have fun but you also get a nice work out at the same time. "The wii is great. I love they way you play games. the only thing is no war games like call of duty 4. The controllers are sometimes hard to synchronize. The Games are too kidish like Mario Galexy. I think They should have games for both small and big. Overall its fun!!!"

What's great about it: Great Multiplayer Games Usually

"This system is a great system, especially with the motion sensing idea, which gives platform gamers a totally different experience than the simply using a controller. The multiplayer games for the system tend to be really fun, in most cases, as Nintendo seems to lean more towards light-hearted fun and experiencing it with your friends rather than mature content for solo player (there are exceptions, of course). The performance is excellent, the graphics potential is pretty good as well, and the numerous capabilities within the system itself (like checking the news and weather), not just the games, and the fun-with-friends feel make this system a great buy."

What's great about it: Easy est up, In house titles (Zelda, Mario, etc.)
What's not so great: Lack of 3rd parties, graphics

"I waited in line for 14 hours to get this system. Maybe it was sleep loss or delerium, but when I finally got my hands on zelda, I wasn't disappointed. 2 years later, I'm still waiting for Nintendo to release more quality games like that. The motion controls are amazing, and really everything you could hope for, and the price is great, but they stick it to you buy making you pay individually for all the peripherals, and the titles just aren't coming out as quick."

What's great about it: Lowest cost game console, very easy to use
What's not so great: No DVD player, no HD graphics

"The Wii is a great gaming console for family fun that includes everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Its easy to use and you not only play the games, you actually move with the games. However, if you are a serious gamer the Wii is probably not for you. The graphics are not HD and a big step down from the XBox360 or PS3 on a HD flat screen. The drive does not play DVD's as the XBox360 or PS3 does. But it is the cheapest price of the 3 consoles. If you want good family fun to include everyone, the Wii is for you. If your looking for a more serious gaming experience check out an XBox360 or PS3."

What's great about it: amazing graphics, many things to do even if you don't have games for it, Wi-Fi internet access, good usage of WiiMote
What's not so great: a frail model, dangerous when not wearing wrist strap, very addicting (@_@)
