"I personally own all the different consoles and find that when there is a group of people over everyone gravitates to the Wii. It’s a great console for party style games, mainly Wii Sports (which comes with it.) Games are fairly limited for the Wii and software companies tend to focus on the younger kid market. The best thing about the Wii is the ability to use the Wii Store and buy all the old classic NES and Super Nintendo games. The graphics are not as good as the other consoles, but for the type of games I play on the Wii it wouldn’t make a difference. All in all it’s a great family console."

"This game console is awesome. I'm not really a gamer and I find the interactive games very fun and entertaining. Using the remove makes driving games easier. Great to have for people that aren't able to get out of the house due to limited mobility, you can really feel like you are bowling without the heavy ball but with the same motion."

What's great about it: Easy to use, good game selection, controls easy to use. What's not so great: Not HD ready
"I bought the Wii a few months back when they were still scarce. My kids (9 and 14) had been begging for it for months and one day we got lucky at a Best Buy store. Don't be "fooled" by the low $250 price since you at least need to spend an extra $80 for an extra controller and two nunchuk controls so you have 2 complete sets of controls.
The games availabe for this console are very family friendly. My kids regularly invide their friends who bring their own controllers and can easily play 4 kids at a time.
We did get the free upgraded wrist straps and can report we have not experienced any issue with flying controls."

"We just bought our Wii and have only played it a few times. From what I have seen so far I am glad that we bought it. The graphics are not that great, but it is really entertaining to watch! The system is easy enough for my 7 year old to use all on his own. This is his first gaming system and he works up a sweat playing the games. If you are a parent looking to get your child up and moving around this is the gaming system for you! Wii is a system that the whole family will love, mine does!"

"I just played this for the first time on Saturday night and had SO much fun! I'm not a video game-type person, but my husband and I seriously had a ball with the tennis, bowling and boxing (GREAT stress reliever!). I'm a fit person but I actually got sore muscles in my upper back from playing these games! I plan to use the games as a supplement to my normal workout routine (and I'm really looking forward to the release of Wii Fit next month)!
And, of course, my 2 children are having quite a ball with this too (even my 3-yr old)! Good fun for the whole family and you're not a couch potato while doing it!"

"I'm the adult in my household; the kids ages 7 through 15 use it the most. They all have games they enjoy on it, and even the youngest immediately took to using the nunchucks for Wii Sports. It has built-in wifi and attached to our home network with no effort. We purchased the add-on browser and can play games and watch video from the internet, as well as share content from other pcs on our home network. And, it even plays games from our library of GameCube titles, and uses the wireless GameCube controllers, too. A great investment, and far less pricy, as well as much more versatile, than it's console competitors."
