"I got this for Christmas and cant stop playing it nothing is bad about it except it sometimes doesnt quite pick up the controller. The games are great for everyone including kids and it gets kids to get up and move around while their playing and having fun. This is a great system and I would reccomend it to anyone."

"I’m not one to go and buy game systems when they are new. I wait until demand and the price has lowered. After the first time I played a Wii, I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold out for that long. I purchased one as soon as I could track one down (which wasn’t easy). The Wii has been one of the most fun purchases I have ever made! I only have a few games so far, but each is a blast to play! I have always enjoyed gaming with friends and the Wii takes that to a new dimension with the Wii remotes. It is amazing to be able to play games that track your motions! I am extremely pleased and recommend this system to everyone!"

"Have you ever seen someone who leans while playing a racing game? How about those that 'jump' their controller to get the character across that long pit? These are the things Nintendo must have seen a lot of and said "Hey- what if it actually worked like that!?" The Wii is one of those rare gems that actually manages to accomplish something NEW in today's world of redundancy. From the moment you pop in Wii Sports, you realize you're in for something fresh and different. Motion sensative controls and interchangable peripherals allow creative versatility, and backwards compatabilty with GameCube games means you won't get bored anytime soon! You can create 'Miis' (customized characters to put yourself in the game) view pictures, send messages, surf the web, check the weather, even download old games from Nintendo, SNES, Genesis, TurboGraphix16 and N64! The only gripe I have with the system is the sketchy WiFi connection. While I think my biggest problem may be my router, all but one of my friends have had similar problems with their Wii's ability to maintain a consistant connection. Other than that, the cheap accessories (Wii Zapper is a MUST) and GREAT innovation at work here make this one system you DON'T want to miss!"

"This is the most fun and sometimes addicting system you can find. Nintendo has done a great job in separating itself in the console wars. Although they cannot compete with PS3 and Xbox 360 graphically, the Wii mote technology puts the Wii in a league of its own.
Two huge positives off the bat are price ($249) and it comes with a game, Wii Sports, which is technically 5 games in one. The games on Wii Sports are simple to play and addicting. I got this system around launch time and was playing Wii bowling and tennis with my wife and friends for hours.
The Wii does boast some great titles from Zelda to Super Mario Galaxy. Depending on the game, the Wii Mote and Nunchuk controller attachment become everything from boxing gloves, a sword & shield, a 357 magnum, surgical tools, a fishing rod - the list goes on. It's really a fun system that makes you get up and literally act out the game. So if you're in a sword fight, you're swinging those arms. What makes it so successful is the infrared sensor is extremely precise and reaction time is superb.
Built in Wi-Fi and free online gaming is great. Unfortunately there is no real chat or communication system. You simply log on and play. Friend codes and lists are necessary, and you learn as you go along. But the crown jewel of the Wi-Fi is the Wii Shop, where you can download titles from the original NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Grafx, and Neo Geo. If you remember the days of Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Tecmo Bowl, and the Super Marios of the 80's and 90's.... now you can relive them on the wii.
I always have to give the downers (it's only fair). There is no HD here. You can get component cables but your max output will be 420p. This is very minor though as it is still great to play. The Wii motes run you $40 each, and need batteries. The nunchuk is another $20 which means it costs $60 for a full controller that takes 2 AA's (ouch). Also there are a lot of the same themed games. Mini-games and Party games are in abundance on the Wii which is OK, but how many do you actually need?
I have had ZERO problems with the Wii and have had it since November 2006. Nintendo definitely delivers - 5 stars!"

"I think Nintendo has really done it with this one. The only people that don't seem to like it are hard core gamers. If you are not in that catagory, then this is the best game console out there. My son can play it for hours and not be left with "video game zombi" head. It is very interactive and really taking video games to the next level. It does not have the graphics that the other systems have, but I can afford it. I would buy another in a minute!!!"

"Overall, this is a great system to get, but keep in mind that most of the games are by Nintendo that are worth getting. The other makers have some horrible and lame games that you get bored with quickly. The only good reason to get this is for the multiplayer games out there, but the price is worth it, specially on a huge screen TV. The HDTV part does not make a difference."

"The system is an excellent system, especially if your child doesn't like to go outside to exercise. Kids like me have loved Mario since I was 6 years old and that still hasn't changed. The gaming system is aimed towards children but still appeals to the adult fan base, just not with graphic games. I would recommend buying this system for anyone at any time."
