What's great about it: Revolutionary controls that any body can use. What's not so great: Small internal memory.
"Ever since I bought a Wii, my family has had a great time playing with its motion sensing controls. They are so easy to use, that even my mother has had no problems in using them. Heck, she is the holder of the highest score in Wii sports, which is the free game included with the system. This is definitely a must buy for all video gamers and non-video gamers alike."

"The Nintendo Wii is an amazing new way of playing video games. No more sitting down and punching buttons, you actually have to move around to play this system. Also, everyone can play the Wii, from Grandma and Grandpa, Mom and Dad, to brother and sitser. This system gets the whole family involved, and nobody has to be left out. The one thing i would say that needs to be improved uppon is the graphics. They are not up to scale with the PS3 or Xbox 360, but its half the price. All in all, i would say this is the most fun i have had playing a system, thank you Nintendo for coming up with something totally different."

"By some miracle, I was able to obtain a Wii back in March around noon (if you cant find one, keep calling your local store as they may have some in the back, but not advertised). It has been really a really great system for the family and I. All members of my family enjoy the system because games, like wii sports, are really simple to play. There arent many games out as of yet, but more are coming out by the holidays. This is a really great system if you have people over and want to play a fun alternative to a board game with them. This is by a no means a system for hard-core gamers, as the graphics dont match up to the other systems, and the games are really geared toward the younger crowd. If you dont care about hard-core gaming, the graphics shouldnt be a problem. If you are interested in having great fun with others while playing video games, I surely recommend a purchase of this system, so you can laugh and make fun of your friends trying to box the air against the each other. That is, if you can find one in your local store ;)"

"This system is a great system for the entire family. I'm able to play this with my 4 year old cousin and my dad. The wii remote really makes the games interactive and the current wii game library is great. It have a solid set of games, not to mention that super smash bros brawl will be coming out soon. This system is the best price out of the new next generation sytems. Downloading games on the Wii is really easy too, the wii shop channel is easy to access and use. There is a decent amount of games out for the virtual console, some great classics. All in all this is a great system for anyone who likes videogames."

"A must have for all mom's who want their kids to get exercise every single day - rain or shine. My son boxes with Wii sports for hours (has earned PRO status!) and gets so worn out he can hardly stand! We have fun playing tennis together - you can stand relatively still or run for the ball - work it! I'm losing weight every week! Wii play not so great tho...stick with wii sports for more energy using, calorie burning activities!"

"Ok, let me open by saying that this a great product, with really fun gameplay for groups of people and a tentative lineup of many great games. I would definitely recommend this system to any casual gamer who is more concerned with fun quick multiplayer matches rather than intense, thoughtful games (for that, i'd recommend an xbox 360). Yet there are definite drawbacks to this revolutionary system, which i will focus on since I was unaware of their importance when I purchased my wii. One such drawback is the quality of the graphics output that hinders any non-cartoony games such as Resident Evil (which it feels like the system was made for). However, this issue is not important for any of the main headliner games, and really becomes arbitrary if you consider the enjoyment of being able to flail about with good reason. The second drawback is the small amount of internal memory. When I purchased my wii, i was under the impression that I would be able to rectify this by buying a 2gb memory card and letting it slide; however, you cannot save/load games directly to/from the SD card, and a need for an external USB hard drive will become important for games with downloadable content (yet another expense to expect). The last pressing issue with this product is the fact that the motion sensitivity in the wiimote can be a little too picky at times, not registering some motion while overexhaggerating other movement: wii golf becomes very difficult for putting because of this fact. Aside from the aforementioned drawbacks of the system, the wii is extremely fun to play with large groups of people, and shows a great opportunity for more refinement and development in the future, making it a long-lasting purchase so long as Nintendo continues production of accessories and revolutionary gameplay. The important thing to realize is that the wii, in general is not a terribly great system to play alone, and should really only be purchased with the understanding that it is not intended for typical games. Because of this, I would buy the wii again."

What's great about it: Games can be found for every age level and we love how interactive they are! What's not so great: batteries have to be replaced often in handhelds but with rechargeable units, that is easily fixed
"We bought the Wii after playing it elsewhere and loved it. It comes with some games already included which is nice. My parents, who are usually negative about any video game, bought one too! We love trying new games that come out and buying the ones that work for our family which include all ages, 5, 12 and 15. When friends come over we can't wait to show them the Wii. I think the best thing is that it has games that reach every level and that they are very interactive. There are even some that make us sweat! I would definitely recommend this gaming system for any family because now parents can play games with the kids and have some "family time", and how often does that happen these days????"
