What's great about it: awesome game play, looks cool, nice and compact What's not so great: shaky online play, wii remotes run out of battery quickly, not so much fun when you are tired.
"It's a ton of fun, but halo 3 came out and i've spent alot of time at my friends house on his 360, and i'm now jealous b/c the online play is soo much better that the few games that have online play for the wii. I'm still looking for a great first person shooter for the wii. hopefully medal of honor heroes 2 will be the games we've all been waiting for. I love Heatseeker. Its a great game. I love the built in wifi. Its nice and small, fits anywhere"

"I bought the wii when it first came out and enjoyed it ever since. It so esy to play that even my 3 yrs old neice plays it (wii boxing) and manages to win a lot of fights. There are many games that challenges the mind unlike games where all you do is shoot and blow things up. The virtual console allows old gamers to connect back to the past when they first started out. Some of the games need a little graphics update for the hardcore gamers. Though the game lacks graphics its fun. It's a system to expand your mind and it has shoot'em up games for the gaming fans but most of all its a workout. so dont worry about getting hooked for 24 hrs because you'll be tired way before that"

What's great about it: small size, cheap price, the controllers are the best and most comfortable ive ever played on. What's not so great: lacks full HD graphics, dont play dvds, games tend to be slighty weak(except for nintendo licenced games)
"well, i got the Wii on the day of its launch last November, even tho wii sports kinda sucks its still pretty fun to play today. ever since i got it last year ive turned back into a hardcore gamer playing for a couple hours every other day or so. with games like the legend of zelda twilight princess, metroid 3, and the 100 other wii games coming out this year, its no surprise that the wii is such a hot and fast selling system."

"Just worked on this highly prised wii several hours. Not excited as receiving it. The picture quality is low compared to X360 and there are few good game except the sport game. If you are sport game fan, go for it but a RTS fan should avoid it."

"everyone says the Wii is awesome but it really sucks the graphics are horrible. the people look like blocks and the game graphics are nothing compared to the ps3 or Xbox 360 they have no good games. all the games that they sell for Wii are stupid Nintendo games that are basically big mazes (Zelda, Metroid etc.) they have no good fighting games and the motion sensing sometimes screws up"

"The Wii is an amazing system. I love the controlers and how there motion sensitive. I think its the next generation gaming. The Wii sports are so fun. I personally like boxing because you have to duck and block and also have to punch. The only downside since this system is so new, there isn't as much games out like the Xbox 360. But if you give Nintendo a chance, they will be coming out with alot more games. Overall, it is one of the best sytems out there"

"This is a great system right out of the box. Wii Sports is one of the best multi-player titles and it comes with the system! You will need at least one additional controller and nunchuck (for two person play) and you should get the second controller by purchasing WiiPlay packaged with a controller (for only $10 more than the controller by itself this collection of mini-games is well worth it). The motion sensing, while not flawless, works well and makes you feel more like part of the action. You don't have to swing your whole arm for swordplay (wrist movements work just as well) but it does make the play more real (and tiring). If you pretend that you're actually playing the sports in Wii Sports and go through the full motions, then it can be a pretty good workout (especially boxing)."

"hey, if you hardly ever play video games but when you do its just for laughs, then you need a nintendo wii. the system has yet to let out an acceptable game for me. if you think you may like it for the first person shooting action, just get a 360, that is the best system out there. i regret getting the wii cuz now im stuck with a bunch of mario games and metroid prime 3 , which is not that great. zelda wasnt even worth it, im hoping that smash bros makes up for all the lame games."

"The Wii was a great purchase, I'm loving it so far. It's a lot of fun, particularly with other people. Yes, it might not have the graphics of other systems, but it's not too big of a deal in the long run. There's a good selection of games out there, not tons, but more are coming out all of the time.
I'd really recommend it if you enjoy playing something different, and aren't concerned about having the greatest graphics in the world(not that it's graphics are bad by any means). The motion control is the real draw, and they're fun to do. The pack in game Wii Sports gives a great taste of the game, and shows what they can do with it. The main problem will be finding a Wii to actually buy as they seem sold out everywhere...
Some good games: Wii Sports, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Paper Mario."
