Designed for kids ages five to 95, the revolutionary Nintendo Wii isn't just a next-generation system — it's an all-generation system. The innovative minds at Nintendo discovered that the evolution of gaming has made video games very complex, and those who once enjoyed playing games with their entire families have become alienated. The Wii is pronounced "we" for a reason — it symbolizes Nintendo's driving philosophy: this system is for everyone. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a casual player or a grandparent who'd like to play a game with your grandchild, the Wii will provide you with a wondrous experience that returns gaming to simpler times while also defining a new age of game development. In addition to amazingly realistic next-generation graphics and a variety of outstanding titles to choose from, the true magic of the Wii starts right in the palm of your hand — the controller. The unique Wii Remote controller is wireless and motion-sensitive, allowing you to use everyday motions to simulate the motions in your game. The Nunchuk controller attaches to the Wii Remote and uses an analog stick along with motion-sensing technology to assist in character movement. Imagine yourself in the thrilling world of Wii Sports, the awesome, action-packed sports game included with your Wii console. Using your Wii Remote controller, you'll chase down powerful tennis serves, add touch to your golf swing to avoid tricky sand traps, overpower speeding fastballs to knock them out of the baseball park and more. The Wii Channel Menu, which is the first screen that will appear on your TV, provides a simple user interface that includes the Video Console Channel, News Channel, Forecast Channel, Photo Channel, Internet Channel, Wii Message Board and the Wii Shop Channel. Using the Mii Channel, you can even create playable caricatures of yourself called Miis that you can use in a variety of Wii applications. With an innovative motion-sensitive controller and the Wii Channel Menu, the Wii will truly make you feel less like just a player and more like you're really part of the game.

Great System for the Whole Family10/10/2007
By Igaliciousfrom Arizona
What's great about it: Easy installation, helpful guide, extra counsel components included as well as game What's not so great: Some difficulty in configuring other controllers
"I am a college student at Arizona State University and since my purchase of the Wii I have become as they say a "hot item" in my dorm hall. The Wii is a family/friend system. It brought my whole hall together and allowed my family to play a game together for once. It's nice to see a system where one can deal with human to human interaction versus all these robotic online deals most systems are coming out with. The Wii controllers, or remotes as some call them, are shocking simple to use. I had found it hard to believe most traditional games like Metroid Prime and Zelda were effortlessly easy to play on the Wii, if not more exciting. I would recommend owning this system for any family. But you better hurry and get your before Christmas, because this will be hot item this season."

What's great about it: Easy to Use What's not so great: Only Comes with One Remote
"If you have no video game systems in your house, this is the one you must buy. It's fun for the entire family, even my 4 year old. The game that comes with the system is AWESOME. All the sporting games involve physical activity whether you are playing bowling, baseball, tennis, golf or boxing. I highly recommend!"

Extremely Fun!!10/10/2007
By BFatfrom Phoenix, AZ
What's great about it: great functionality, lightweight, easy to use, internet access (beta), fun for all ages, inexpensive What's not so great: expensive controllers, internet only beta, no hard drive/media features like xbox 360, graphics good but not fantastic
"This is one of the greatest gaming systems I have ever owned! Not only has it been fun for me, but everyone else I know who has tried it! Not just my peers, but my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. This system is truly, as advertised, "gaming for all ages." Wii Sports tends to be one of the biggest hits with all ages. For such a simple game, it really is a hit! I also really enjoy the Internet access feature, which connects via an Ethernet connection or over a wireless connection. This feature allows you to access weather, news and even purchase classic Nintendo games by downloading them. You can also browse the web by downloading the beta version of the Opera web browser for Wii (FREE!). This has also been a very fun feature which will even allow you to access some online video clips and play them on your TV. The only down fall to this feature is that it is a beta version and will not access all sites or load all features. Overall, this is the best system for the cost on the market right now."

By AEthreefrom Virginia Beach, Virginia
What's great about it: Perfectly priced, wireless remotes, fun games, 100% interactive. What's not so great: No real first person shooters out yet.
"The Wii is one the best systems out on the market right now, it appeals to adults as well as children. It's game play is magnificent, and a hundred percent interactive. If you're the type of gamer who bobs and weaves while playing a fighting game, or turns and trys to steer with their remote while racing, then you will absolutely love this system. It is a must for gamers of all ages."

Amazing Game System10/09/2007
By reviewer22
What's great about it: So much fun to play and very interactive What's not so great: Some of the games are a little difficult to play
"I love this game system. It is so much fun to play and a good way to get a lot of people involved. Some of the games are a little difficult for me because I like the Old School Sega and Nintendo games which are a bit easier, but I'm sure one I get more used to the games they will be just as fun. You also have to make sure to put the wrist band around your wrist so the controller does not fly into the T.V.; I know someone that did that."

NITENDO WII10/09/2007
By JUVILUCAROfrom Duluth, Georgia
What's great about it: Marvelous. I felt once more that terrific feeling of bowling. The sound is so real. What's not so great: The batteries doe not last long enough.
"It was thrilling to bowl again (at my age 74) with my sons and grandchildren and winning and loosing with 194, 212 and 164. I was an average good bowler of 180 some 38 year ago, but never crossed my mind that at 74 I was to feel oce again the excitment of bowling and bowling atmosphere right in home. It was rewarding looking at my two five year old granddaughters playing baseball, tennis, golf and bowling so cheerfull. What a great experience!!! That is the way to go Nitendo people... keeping the family united. THANKS!!!"

sooooo much fun!!!!10/09/2007
By DrMasterShakefrom San Diego Ca.
What's great about it: infinite amount of fun, gets you into the games! What's not so great: i keep having to unplug it to take it places!
"When i finally found a Wii for purchase I knew id be happy with it, but i never knew id have as much fun with it as I am! It is literally ENDLESS hours of fun for your family, friends, and of course yourself. there is a Wii game for everyone for sale now. from zelda (one player) to Smooth Moves (multiplayer / party games) and the Wii Sports game that comes with the purchase. I have played my Wii Sports game so much, i could be considered pro! If you are given the chance to purchase one, DO IT! it may not have the huge release games like other new systems, but who doesnt want some zelda, metroid, or the new mario galaxy game coming soon? and how can you go wrong with a Wii Mario Kart game coming in December? its impossible to go wrong here. You will have more fun than you can imagine with the Wii with friends and family of ALL ages! plus, getting up and running around to play, and getting you involved in the game, is quite the workout! I Love It! get one!"

Hard to Find, but Quite a Catch10/09/2007
By Maddiverfrom Orlando, FL
What's great about it: Next Generation Controls, Sleek and Sexy look, and a Free Game What's not so great: Very tricky to find in stock and expensive controllers
"The Wii is probably the hardest console in terms of the skill needed to move the controller to what is needed for the game. This testing of your motor skills is exciting and refreshing compared to button mashing. Most of the titles ive played for it use the motion control enough to add dificulty and skill but not too much to annoy you. Definately contends with my N-64 as my favorite console. =)"

What's great about it: Easy to use remote control.
"I love the Wii because you use hand motions with the remote to play games. I never been really good at playing games because the buttons confuse me. Now I am much better because of the new use of the remote that nintendo added."
