"The cables are not gold-plated as the product description claims, so I dinged them one star. But forget about that, do they make the picture look better than the standard cables? I have a 42" DLP and there's definitely a difference. It's not huge - it won't turn your Wii into a PS3. But with these cables I can flip between 480i and 480p and there's a definitely difference in the amount of color bleeding, especially with text. Are they worth it? Hey, they cost under $10 including shipping. If you have a big TV, go for it. Just make sure you go into to your Wii settings and switch to 480p."

"upgrade from the factory cables...Made my flat screen much more clear...went from 480I to a480p rating, guess wii does not support 1080p like the xbox360....overall happy"

Must Have for LCD TV with Wii 06/24/2008

"I previously had my Wii hooked up through the standard video cables to a tube tv. After purchasing a Sony Bravia LCD 52W4100 television and hooking up the standard video cables, I observed a lag between the control and output on the screen, especially for Guitar Hero III, and the picture was not very impressive. After reading, I found that switching to the component cables would help address these issues. After hooking up this product, and updating my Wii settings, I had a noticable improvement in the picture quality and the lag time was nearly eliminated. An additional adjustment to my TV to game mode resolved all issues with lag time.

This was the cheapest of the component cables that I could find in store anywhere, however, I don't think paying for any of the more expensive versions out there would result in any more of an observed improvement. This is the best cost option and technically the best option considering the Wii will not be moving toward full HD or HDMI cables."

"These cables are worth the money spent on them. The video is much sharper and the controls are more sensitive, making the games more fun. I had no problems setting up my system to use them. Just remember to go into your settings and change them from standard to hd ( 480p) for the WII. Easy as pie, don't know what that one guys problems was with this but it is really easy. Get them and enjoy your games all over again. Enjoy!!!!"

"I originally had the React S-Video cable and the picture seemed washed out and lacking depth. I exchanged it for this cable and paid the extra few dollars. It was so worth it. Once setup properly in the Wii settings menu to output 16x9 and 480p the difference was very visible, especially on the Internet Channel and Shopping Channel which previously required me to fiddle with the TV's picture controls. I also noticed a step up in the graphics. For example, Ghost Squad was dark and fuzzy. After going to the component cable it was bright, crisp, and clear."

What's great about it: Inexpensive (not cheap), full 480p support, much crisper picture than A/V cables
What's not so great: None

"These cables are sweeeet. They are much more inexpensive than other cables, but do exactly the same job. I immediately saw the difference and was very impressed with my purchase. The only thing that you have to remember is to turn on the HDTV 480p in the Wii settings, or else there is no change in the picture. Very satisfied."

What's great about it: Better picture then composite cables
What's not so great: Didnt want to work at 1st

"The 1st time I tried these cables I was getting a horrible and noisey picture so I was going to return them. I decided to give them one more try and now they work fine. I would not bother with the more expensive cables out there, these do the job just fine, its only 480p anyway, not full HD"

What's great about it: cheap way to upconvert to 480p
What's not so great: nothing

"i'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, i just changed my wii settings to enable 480p. you can tell the picture is better during fast movement as there is less of a blur."

Buyer Beware !READ BEFORE YOUR BUY! 11/10/2007

What's not so great: NO 480P Support.
"I bought these cables under the impression that I would be able to play my wii in its full Progressive Scan glory. I was wrong.
REACT had two different component cables for the wii, the much more expensive ones (49.99) offer 480p support. I thought it was weird that REACT would have two different sets of cables until I realized the price and performance differences.
I made a mistake. If you are looking for 480p cables do not make this mistake as well.
THESE DO NOT OFFER PROGrESSIVE SCAN SUPPORT!"

"I bought this set of cables on the advice of one of the Magnolia employees. He informed me that this would be just as good as the $59.99 cables. I never saw the $59.99 cables in action, but I don't think they can get better than this set of cables. Definitely pick these up and save yourself some $$!"

If You Own a Wii You Need This 10/09/2007

"Picked up this cable last week since I bought a new tv a few weeks ago. Hooked up this cable with my Wii and the picture clarity is amazing. The colors are so clear and distinct and it makes playing the Wii that much more fun. The tv i hooked it up with is the 50" 720p plasma LG that i bought at BestBuy two weeks ago. If you're in the market for a tv i definitely recommend this tv. Enjoy this product!"
