With more than 300 new skills at their disposal, your troop of customizable heroes boast the ability to level up, follow your explicit instructions in the midst of battle and more. Do you and your heroes have what it takes to illuminate the grim future of Elona and its people?

Best of the Best
07/21/2008
By elloweryfrom Philadelphia, PA
"I am not a gamer, but my sister and husband are and I have finally found a game I can play with them. I like all the GW games, but Nightfall is my favorite campaign because the missions work you up instead of a Training section Vs. actual game play like the Prophesies and Factions campaigns. Also, Istani armor has been my favorite for most of the professions."

I like it!!!

What's great about it: You get heroes which help you with other campaigns. What's not so great: none
"I like this expansion which i think is a very important part of the series and i would recommend this anyday. With Nightfall you get "heroes" which are like henchman but you get to customize their skills as you would yours. Even though it happens to be the longest storyline but it is definetly worth it in the end."

Free MMO

What's great about it: All Online; Free What's not so great: Instancing
"Nightfall is the best of the three games. It gives players an opportunity to use heroes now and control a whole team of fully equip AI. It's missions are straight forasiest of all the games to play through and character development is much easier than previous games.
If you've never played Guild Wars before, this is the game to pick up!"

Great Addition to the Guild War's Franchise
02/21/2008
By Sirgadfrom TN
What's great about it: Beautiful graphics, no monthly fee. What's not so great: None
"I purchased this game after buying the initial Guild Wars Prophecies game. They have added a lot of content in this game, and several new classes. It is a little better than the original game in that it gets you into higher level content a lot faster. The enemies are nicely designed, and the new skills and weapon sets contrast nicely with Prophecies. Not having a monthly subscription is nice. I would recommend this to a friend."

My Favorite MMORPG
11/21/2007
By AprilDfrom Clemson, SC
What's great about it: can play solo, GREAT storyline, easy to learn, 1000 active member alliances w/ ventrillo (4 voice chat), scenery What's not so great: limited crafting, no auction house, limited camera-angle control
"I bought this nine months ago and have been addicted ever since. Before playing Guild Wars Nightfall, I played World of Warcraft for two years. I now regret throwing so much money away on WoW. The story of Guild Wars is much more interesting. The scenery is breathtaking - and there's so much to see than in World of Warcraft. I LOVE Guild Wars, and especially Nightfall. Nightfall was my first and favorite Guild Wars campaign. It involves a little crafting (similar to enchanting and jewel-crafting in WoW). Moving and looting is similar to the classic Diablo 2. Guild Wars Nightfall has an African / Middle Eastern theme, and, unlike the other campaigns, WoW, and every other game I know of, it is possible to create beautiful, hot African characters. I enjoyed leveling solo with the help of heroes, which worked sort of like hunters' pets. When I reached 20, I joined a large active guild / alliance and met neighbors who also played, as well as interesting people from all over the world. I bought the other campaigns, and become even more addicted than I was before. I still have 1/4th of the campaign left to finish, after playing for nine months. I haven't covered a third of Prophecies or Factions yet. Buying Guild Wars campaigns was money well spent, especially for me!"

What's great about it: Lvl up easier, more quests, start with more access to items & stuff... What's not so great: not free
"This game rocks so much over the original! You get things like the expert salvage kit early so you can salvage the good magical enhancers off of the items. You get better missions from the start. Leveling up isn't a chore. The beasties are a bit tougher. The options in general are better. Too much to list. If you got one of the first three, get this one first."

Long and Fun!!!
10/12/2007
By SilverNightfrom Minnetonka, MN
What's great about it: Long Campaign and 2 new professions with alot of new skills. What's not so great: All takes place in the desert but the areas very enough to make it differant.
"This would be my second favorite campaign because it is a long storyline and you can play as a Scythe wielding Dervish or a Shouting Paragon both of which are very fun to play. Once you beat the campaign then you can beat it in a Harder Mode and there is also more areas you can go to so there is alot of time you can get out of this game making it worth your money. Also you can recruit Hero's that are like Henchmen AI but you choose there skills and weapons which make them a better choice."

Awesome 3rd addition to the series
09/17/2007
By FFKefka77from EP, NJ
"This is a great addition to an awesome series. This is also a free online game, no monthly fees. They have added a new feature called Heroes, which allows you to do quests and acquire new companions (which you can give gear to and setups the skills of, in other words, you can make your build with these chars)"

Fantastic Value
09/11/2007
By Razamotazfrom Anderson, SC
"This game is really a good buy because you get the advantages of playing an online game with only a one time purchase and no monthly online subscription fees. Plus the game has expanded to more than just this campaign as well as being a very skillful type of roleplaying game. I like it alot because it has fantastic graphic design not quite as detailed as the subscription type roleplay games but it does come very close, and the engine used to run the graphics seems smoother than some of the online types out there. I would recommend this game to any friends interested in fantasy type games."

Amazing Game
09/10/2007

"This is one of the best MMO's out there. I previewed many others before Guild Wars but this one is by far the best. Between free online play, a choice of PvE or PvP, the guild system, and the Heroes/henchmen, this game is superb."

Good expansion
09/09/2007
By bvo1from Pearland, TX
"Very good expansion for a good game. The addition of Heroes makes playing Guild Wars alone a viable option since they are about a 1000000 times smarter than the generic henchmen."

Fantasy Role Playing like never before...
08/16/2007
By Salserofrom Miami, FL
"The stroy line is amazing. Very captivating and well written. In Nightfall, you'll explore Elona, a North-African themed land (each GW title has a theme) and introduces 2 new professions, Dervish and Paragon. One can mostly do the entire campaign solo (because of the Hero/Henchmen party feature) or you can team with other players. The main feature of this game are the Guilds and of course the Guild vs. Guild battles. With stunning and breathtaking artistry and graphics, and FREE online play, this is surely to be a great purchase for any Fantasy RPG player."
