What's great about it: Excellent quality, compact, easy to sotre
What's not so great: I haven't found any!
"I bought this system for my daughter who is in a college dorm room. Space is limited since she has to share a small room with one other girl. She loves the PS2 graphics and the compact size which makes it easy to sotre and take to friends homes to play! It's an excellent price for the money! My son has one as well and loves it!"

"We purchased a Play Station 2 Limited Edition for our daughter for Christmas. It not only looked classy, but works great with Dance Revolution. My daughter has spent several hours with friend enjoying this. We have had no problems at all and would recommend it to anyone. I ordered the PS2 online and it arrived very quickly."

What's great about it: Great graphics, slim and lightweight
What's not so great: None so far
"I remember my son having a Playstation years ago and it was awkward and bulky and didnt run for too long or too well, so I was hesitant when my daughter said she wanted a PS2 for Christmas (from Santa), she had her tonsils and adenoids out 3 days before Xmas and I didnt want to get her something that flopped. I am so glad I got her this. It is easy to hook up, it's slim and lightweight and works beautifully and she takes it everywhere she goes. This was also my first time shopping online and I want to thank BestBuy for making this experience so easy and rewarding for me. I will do all of my shopping through Best Buy now."

What's not so great: May become obsolete within the next few years

"the graphics are good but since the ps3 came out the graphics aren't considered as good.i had a black slim but it broke.I used to be able to take it anywere because of its small size. I hope to do the same w/ this one. I like the silver color better than the black cause its different and if your friend tries to take it you can easily tell its not theirs because of the color.anyways, highly reccomended to buy as a cristmas gift."

"I bought this gift for my boyfriend as a gift and he absolutely loved the Play Station 2. I didn't see the logic of buying a console for 3 or 4 times as much for a man who works full time and would only play occasionally. As long as he has some sport games and racing games on a flat panel television, what else matters. :-)"

"The slick design and very compact size makes this game a must have in any room of your house. I've had tons of PS2 this is my 4th. Not becuase they break all my PS2 still works perfectly. I just love PS2 and the gaming experience it offers. To me its like the perfect black dress will never go out of style..
The only con is with the graphics compared to the XBOX and PS3 but if you have a good HD tv it really doesn't matter anyways...."

What's great about it: Super conpact compared to other gaming units.
What's not so great: Power and reset buttons not easy to use
"This unit is about 1/3 the size of the the original PS2 and is much more portable. Although it has an ultra slim design you will still need to give this device a few inches above it so that you can load you discs. So far I can say that this new unit is so much nicer than the old larger one."

"This silver edition PS2 is nice because it is slim and the different color is something different than everyone else has. The graphics are still good and the slim design looks classier than a big, clunky piece of harware. The only downside to this system is the fact that it doesn't have the HD like the new systems, but it is still a great system and has excellent games to purchase with it."

What's not so great: they came out with a ps3
"When i first played ps2 i had a blast. It was so extraodinary. i played great games like grand theft auto or burnout. It has such a huge library of games you'll never get bored. it has 2 controller ports but you can get an item that allows up to 4 players. If you want a game system that still makes games, that is fun, affordable, and has 5 star reviews this is the game system. since xbox 360 and ps3 came out, it does not have the best graphics, but they are still awesome.
so buy a ps2 because you will have the time of your life."

What's not so great: The silver paint can scratch.
"PS2 plays the games I am interested in. I love the compact size too. I don't have to have anything bulky on top of the TV. The slick part is that it plays DVDs. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a DVD player does, it does have what I need. Play, select, pause, etc. is there and that is really all I use. I am happy to have bought this product."

Awesome game system

"I was given one a few weeks ago. This system is great and compact. When I unpacked the box it seems like it was nearly empty, it is an extremely light and small game system thats packs a big punch.
The graphics are top-notch, of course sub-par when compared to the PS3 or XBox 360 but still great either way. Playing back of DVD is crystal clear especially when connected to a HD TV using optional component wires.
The game selection is vast. This is because it is capable of playing any orginal PS or the PS2 games. The graphics are smooth and fast. The only thing that I wish it had was a slot drive to prevent having to open the drive cover constantly to change games. The options for expanding are great including wirless controllers 16 mb memory cards which hold incredible amounts of game progress.
This is an excellent system and a great value for the price. The silver is nice if your entertainment system has a silver theme otherwise a black model is also offered."
