This product was absolutely essential when i bought the PS3 console. I realized when i bought the PS3 that the controllers must be connected to the system while it is on the charge the controllers via USB port. That eliminates they wireless function and it was extremely annoying because i had to sit closer to the system because the cord only seems to be about 4ft. I bought this charge station and it made charging the controllers a heck of alot easier. It Allows you to mount two controllers on the station as well as plug in two controllers via usb ports. It also plugs into the wall which means that charging can be done anytime and the system DOES not have to be on. The ability to plug into the wall frees up the USB ports on the system so additional controllers can be charged on the console during use as well. Im a big madden player and i have had upwards of six people to a single game and the additional charge station comes in handy. I highly reccomend this product for PS3 users.
What's great about it: Plugs into wall to PS3 does not have to be on to charge
What's not so great: The lights that show it is charging/fully charged are cool at first but get annoying after a while

This charger is a must have! It displays the PS3 controllers nicely and looks like an integral part of the system. It grows red when the controllers are charging and green when they are charged. Additionally, it has two USB 2.0 ports for additional controller connections.
What's great about it: Charges controllers without PS3 needing to be on

Hold up to 2 Remote on base and 2 extra USB ports for another 2 Controllers, so can charge 4 controller at once and does not burn up your Playstation 3 since you have to have it running to charge the controller.
Great Black and sliver look that great along with the PS3, my Black Glossy Plasma TV and my Black glass Tv Stand.
What's great about it: Hold up to 2 Remote on base and 2 extra USB ports for another 2 Controllers, so can charge 4 controller at once

I've had my eye on this charger for a while, and finally bought one a week ago. It was between this one and the NYKO brand. The clincher was the additional USB ports for additional charging of wireless controllers and headset. Not to mention, it's compact size. Perfect all-in-one charging station. If you're in the market for a charging station, this is the way to go.

This is an awesome product for those who want to keep their controllers charged at all times, and not have to keep the playstation on at all times either. It looks great. Very stylish design, and very light at the same time. You should buy it.

if you don't like to charge your controllers with the ps3 running, get this product. cool lights, stylish, fits nicely with the look of the ps3. 2 usb ports on the side for needed charging of additional controllers. perfect charging station. nuff said.

I have 3 dualshock3 and 3 six axis controllers, so this unit is perfect for me. I put two in at a time, wait for the red light to turn green and toss in two more if I need it. It uses an ac power outlet, so you don't have to burn your ps3 or computer charging with the regular usb cable. It looks very stylish, I highly recommend getting one if you have several controllers like I do.
What's great about it: Everything.

This thing looks really cool and is very practical! I love that the LEDs change from red to green when done charging. It holds 2 controllers in the cradles but you can connect up to 4 using the extra USB ports on the side of the dock. Another plus is that it plugs into an AC outlett and does not take up another USB on your PS3. But It doesn't charge my Motorola Razr phone :( haha
What's great about it: charges up to 4 controllers, status LEDs, stylish design
What's not so great: if you have skins on your controllers it takes a bit of care to connect to dock

What a nice looking charging station. Makes for a neat and tidy look. The LEDs are nice looking and change after the charge is complete. The BestBuy ad shows it only charges 3, but it charges 4. But if you want the tidy look, then two is the limit. This charging unit comes with it's own A/C adapter. The ugly plastic clear controller shown in the pictures is just for an example and is discarded when you open the package. Just the stand and the controllers show. The chrome accents are very nice and match the PS3 nicely.
What's great about it: Keeps the all the ugly cords away. LEDs look great!
What's not so great: Absolutely nothing to say here.

If you are tired of plugging in your USB it to your PS3 then I would recommend buying this. It glows green when your controller is charged up and red when your controller needs or is charging. It looks very stylish were every you put it. You can charge four controllers at once there are two extra USB port on the base. Good product nice price would recommend to anyone.

Reasons to invest on THIS controller charger:
1) It's aesthetically pleasing
2) It eliminates cable wires that run through the PS3 in order to charge your controllers
3) The red (charging) and green (fully charged) lights let you know easily whether or not your PS3 controller is good to go.
4) The charge station runs on a wall plug and doesn't have to be attached to the PS3 in any way.
5) The price...it retails for 29.99. That's half the price of most PS3 games and it's a rather useful product if you're constantly logging in hours on your system.
What's great about it: A lot of things (They're all listed on my review)

A definite must have....just plug in the AC power into an outlet and charge your controllers. Lets you leave your USB free in your PS3 and charges while you are away. Plus gives you a place to store your controllers and the lights on it give you charge status aas well as a nifty effect.

I have always been looking for a better way to charge my controllers and never found a clear choice. Most other charges will overcharge or simply jam the controller, but finally THIS ONE IS PERFECT. It is also recommended by IGN at 8.5 if that helps. I would seriously recommend.
What's great about it: charges like normal and easy to tell charge status.
What's not so great: NONE!

I debated on this purchase because nothing stated if it plugged into the wall or a usb port on the 3. Happy to state it has a wall plug. With Rock Band now all 4 of my usb spots are always taken up and I had no way to charge my controllers. This thing works as it should. Charges controllers then stops when it's done. I leave all 4 of my controllers on the charger when not in use. (Yes you can plug two more in with the charging cables that plug into the side of this charger).
What's great about it: Wall plug in
