What's great about it: I wish I keep my old one
What's not so great: no potato button broke after2 months
"just got it fixed and they replaced the magnetron with an 1000watt one even though it came with an 1150 watt one but they say this is ok to do so by a real microwave not this fake one in a big pritty box."

"Not sure about the previous comments, but I have had nothing but a GREAT experience with this item and I've owned it for over a year! Has great features, even down to a simple "kitchen" timer! Popcorn pops perfect ... not one burnt piece and all popped, even cooking ... just a wonderful product! It is a bit expensive, but it truly is worth the price. Compare to the Panasonic if you are looking at this price level. Both are great but I went with the LG because of the smooth look and it had a better fit on my counter. I'm glad I did!"

"Sleek and spacious, easy to use. The plastic that covers the entire microwave is not easy to remove, very hard to get all of it off, and the door had trouble latching. Otherwise like it so far."

Profoundly disappointed

What's great about it: Looks attractive, interior easy to clean
What's not so great: Everything else: noisy, creaky turntable, sensor features inconvenient and don't work right
"We were sold this product as a comparable replacement for another sensor microwave that I loved and used every day, but which none of our local Best Buy stores currently had in stock. It's been two weeks of daily use, and every day I am more unhappy to own this oven. The features, particularly the sensor cooking, which I used the most in my old oven are either nonexistent or do not work properly. Using the reheat sensor typically overcooks the food. There is no sensor feature for baking potatoes, so it's back to weighing, using the chart in the booklet, and trial and error every time I have to bake a potato. (Hello! LG! I estimate that baking potatoes is probably one of the primary uses of most people's microwave ovens!) The defrost is flaky. On the chicken setting, the food isn't thawed enough. On the beef setting, it typically comes out overcooked. I have to compensate when using them by adding or subtracting to the actual weight of the food. Using the special features requires you to consult a paper chart inside the door whereas my old oven calculated these and, even then, it's difficult to match the chart to what I am cooking. I haven't tried sensor cooking asparagus yet (my favorite in my old oven) but fresh green beans came out overcooked.
All of this adds up to my having to usually program it manually for most uses. If I wanted to do this, I would have bought a more basic appliance for approximately half the cost.
As noted by others, the door is very rickety. The turntable motor is very loud and sounds creaky. When running, there is a vibration that rattles other items sitting on the counter.
Positives: When running it does not interfere with our wireless internet signal. The interior design with minimal seams and corners make it easy to clean."

Worst Microwave ever purchased.

What's great about it: Stainless steal but thats it.
What's not so great: Noisy and Door was stuck closed
"My husband and I just purchased the 2cubic LG microwave 4 months ago. We liked the stainless steel look and it had a good enough size. The second week of use the microwave starts making a noise like it was having a hard time turning. Like idiots we ignored it instead of returning it to best buy and dealt with the noise. A few months pass and the door is jammed and could not open by pressing the button or any other way. I highly will NOT recommend this product to anybody. This was the worst product we've ever purchased. DON'T BUY THE LG MICROWAVE EVEN IF IT IS PRETTY.
EVEN WARRANTY SUCKS. THEY WILL HAVE YOU PURCHASE ANOTHER LG THEN THEY WILL SEND A CHECK OF WHAT YOU PAID. BUT THEN YOUR STILL STUCK WITH THE LG MICROWAVE."

What's not so great: Haven't even been able to open the door.
"I loved the look and features of this microwave when I saw it in the store. Once I got it home I unpacked it, took all the plastic off, plugged it in, and when I went to put the glass tray inside the door wouldn't open. The door latch button wouldn't work at all. It would push in and out and not catch on anything. I picked it up to move it around and there is something big rolling around inside loose. I packed it back in the box and I'm taking it back this weekend. I've never had problems with LG before.. but I won't be replacing this microwave with the same model, for sure. I can't give it any stars on anything, because I never even got the chance to use it."

"Bought this microwave 2 months ago, the 1st one lasted exactly 1 month then made a horrible noise then just stopped working. Took it back and they told me that LG requires them to send it off to the factory to get worked on and it would take about two weeks (have kids, cant go two weeks without a microwave) so they swapped it out for a new one and that one lasted exactly three weeks this time, so I am swapping it out for a whirlpool. Waste of money, do not buy this product."

"This microwave lasted exactly 3 months. I can't imagine what possessed me to get another LG product after the experience I had with the refrigerator I bought last year. Their customer service is almost non-existant. All they want to do is send out a local repair service; which I find to be unacceptable on a nearly new appliance. Luckily I got a refund and now I'm looking at other options. Wish I had checked into these reviews earlier."

"I purchased this microwave approximately a month ago. I am very pleased with my purchase, as I have been with all other LG purchases. I feel it is priced very competively, comparing it to the GE version that is $ 20.00 higher. Tried Panasonic...Hated it and took it back. LG is definately the way to go ! The look is there, the quality is there and the features are there. What more do you need ? It's really a great microwave !"

"Thank you Best Buy for taking this item back. This microwave is not worth the $160.00+ it sells for. If it were reduced to $80.00 then you would be getting a product suitable to take to the office or put in your shop to heat a cup of water or make a bag of popcorn. It is loud, both the sound while cooking and the opening and closing of the door. A 1400 watt unit that takes 3.5 - 4.0 minutes to boil a coffee mug of cold water. The turn table chugs along sloshing the water in the cup. The speed is not consistant so if you punch in one minute you would expect the table would make 6 revolution and stop with the handle of the cup in the same orientation as it was when you started. It may be facing toward the back of this oven. This oven is advertised as stainless steel. It is a coating that simulates stainless steel. If like me you use this machine to actually cook a meal in, don't waste your money. Budget another $40.00 and buy a Panasonic with inverter technology."

"Do not buy this product..you will regret it..i am on my 3rd[they replaced 2 ]and after 4 days this one is shot..i have 3 kids under 4 and this can ruin a nights sleep..horrible product..unreliable ..AVOID"

"Immediately after purchasing this microwave, I've gone on-line to find a trim kit. Although I could find a trim kit advertised at several different outlets, NONE were successful at obtaining it from LG. Apparently, LG is no longer making this trim kit available.
Now, I have a nice looking SS microwave setting in a hole in my kitchen that looks terrible!"

"We have owned the LG LRM2060ST for about 11 months and I honestly have to say that there isn't too much for me to complain about on this microwave. It is a big microwave but that lets it have more room on the inside too. The power cord could definitely be longer - we sit the microwave on a microwave cart and the power cord is just long enough to plug in if I have it sitting against the wall without being able to move it out for anything. It almost doesn't reach. Looks like it's bending the cord and twisting it more than I like for it to just to keep it plugged in. Other than that I haven't had any issues - works great."

"After 13 years, my microwave finally died. I use it more than my Range/Oven. I went to the local Best Buy, and after looking at all the models, this one seemed the best for the price. It heats very fast, and I love the stainless modern look. It has many different options, and it tells you what to do everytime you push a button. I love it!"

They don't honor warranty

"After 8 months, the inside paint on the microwave started coming off. After several calls to LG tech support (and having a technician come out to my house), they refused to fix it since it was "cosmetic". There is no exclusion on their warranty sheet for cosmetic issues, and it was obviously a failure in materials and workmanship. They don't stand behind their products."

"I would have to say that this product is a bit overpriced for what you get. It looks great, but for less than what this model is priced at, you could get a much better model. Not a horrible product, I would just strongly recommend going in a different direction. This model is a bit difficult to figure out, and has too many features. Yes, too many."
