What's great about it: since word is such a staple... it really helps to have this software in order to cross-platform, and move files around.
What's not so great: the ribbon has everything set up completely differently than the menu bar that I was used to.
"Now I spend more time, trying to figure out where my tools are hidden, than actually developing my project. It's a shame that publisher is not included with this bundle... since I needed it for work."

What's great about it: it's Word
What's not so great: extremely difficult to download
"I don't have a disk drive so I bought the one I could download from the internet site. The internet site was down for days. I finally gave up (I had a paper due!) so I had to download the trial software and then enter the code in the "trial over, buy it now" spot. Now I'm getting tons of junk mail and pop ups asking me to buy Word and I already have it. Very annoying. No choice though, I needed Word."

What's great about it: Excel
What's not so great: nothing
"I tried the trial version and decided to get the full version. I do my bills and taxes on excel. My kids use it for there jobs. We have excel at work and it is nice to be able to some of it at home. I was really surprised how easy it was to install. Since I had the trial version first I installed it from there. I am really glad I purchased the product."

What's great about it: Expanded capability
What's not so great: Powerpoint on a second monitor does not show a video
"The suite is good. Not the best but better that openoffice. Why not the best? For Windows 7, one would think that the multimedia codecs and directshow features would be set up and ready. Powerpoint is good tool to wow an audience and augment your idea/proposal. What is frustrating is when your Idea runs counter to Office 2007 capabilities. I wanted to run a video in Powerpoint on a project/CRT/LCD setting. It worked once. At the presentation, it did not work. I spent a long time researching what happened.
Anyway, working with large data sets is a breeze with 2007 Excel. The GUI interface will take some getting use to."

What's great about it: Has the programs I need to open documents and spread sheets and a good variety of off-line games for entertainment.
What's not so great: I miss the 'my computer' icon and it doesn't recognize all of my TIFF pictures when transferred.
"I got a new computer for Christmas and I needed to get a more permanent Microsoft Word office suite because most of my communications with work and friends involve Word documents, Xcel spread sheets or power point presentations and I wanted to be able to still view those."

What's great about it: easier to use once you understand the header setup
What's not so great: not reaaly plug and play
"I switched from Office XP to 2007 because that is what my wife and I use on our jobs and we needed the compatibility at home without doing conversions. Once you lear that the menu items are always visible it makes more sense to use plus I love the fact that it is a 3 seat license"

What's great about it: Easy to Install, Good Price
What's not so great: Programs are Very Different from Previous Versions of Office
"Installing the program was very easy and the price was great! I am having trouble using the program because the options are not the same and look extremely different from previous versions of office. I have to do a lot of hunting to do tasks I had previously done so easily. Overall, I think once I am used to the new version and where to find all of the functions, it will be a great product to use."

What's great about it: I have used Word and Office before so this is an upgrade
What's not so great: I am still learning
"I have used this product before, what I need it for is limited to home use. It works great. I am doing a history of my life and have been able to add pictures from when I was a small child to the present along with captions. I like using Word. Excell, I use to balance my check book. I am still learning the many functions that it has in the program."
