What's great about it: Just amazing sound and good value in a premium hit-hat pair.
What's not so great: Nothing - they're great!
I have a set of 15" New Beat that I completely love having used various Zildjians over the years - last set before the 15" was a very hip 14" K/Z combo which I liked a lot - then I got the 15" New Beats and got religion. So on the living room "B" set I thought the same series in a 14" might be "money". I was right and I have to say so far I like them every bit as much as the 15's - a little less sizzle in an open ride play but clean cutting sound, really smooth but never dull, crisp but never brittle. I'm in love. Using them with 22" Constantnople Ride, 18" constantonople crash and soon a 18" K dark crash or 19" Custom Hybrid crash. Audition them for yourselves to make sure they fit your sets vibe and playing style but for me these are the kitty's meow.
I would recommend this to a friend!
