Good Washer

What's great about it: Energy Efficient, Less water used from my electric water heater
What's not so great: A little expense but was able to get a good deal
"So far the washer has worked great and gets everything very clean. It also seems to be gentler on your cloths then my previous washer which should make them last longer. It has many helpful options including a steam fresh option which comes in handy. So far I am happy with this purchase."

What's great about it: Quiet, attractice, clothes are thoroughly cleaned, front end load is easier than top loading by far.
What's not so great: none

What's great about it: less water, quiet, beautiful,
What's not so great: slow washes,pre/post maintenance,
"This washer is probably well suited for a singles or a couple. Families have more clothing to wash weekly. If the clothes are not allowed to move freeling, the clothes will not get clean. Now I wash more loads now 4-6 a week. Previously I did 2-3 loads a week with my old agitator WP, I so wish I could have it back! Then my clothes were cleaner, and this is important when you have a baby. But I thought these were so cool and energy efficient. I do believe they are saving water, very little water is used in the cycle. I think it's performance could be better, maybe in 5 years after the technology is mastered. Great for comforters, will not damage! It has more preventive/post maintenance then anything I own. Go read the manual. You have to drain about a 1 cup 1/2 of water every wash. Button, zip, and tie dangley items.Pretreat any stains. It's real hard on a working mom. Please only use HD products and leave the door open overnight to prevent mildew. Buy the extended warranty, I know we are going to need it with regular use!"

What's great about it: Gets clothes clean with less water
What's not so great: Can vibrate during spin cycle on heavy loads
"A consumer mag that I always refer to before making large purchases rated this machine #1 and they were not wrong! Even though I don't have a water bill (I have a well) I still pay for heating my water and you save both on water and the fuel to heat it with this 21st century machine. Many options to customize the cycle you need for every load of clothes, and you wash far fewer loads due to the extra large capacity of the washer. This washer replaced one I had for 26 years and I would love to use this for the next 26!"

What's great about it: Works great
What's not so great: Water pump is a little noisy. The paint on the top scratchs easily.
"I love the machine. It works great. It uses very little water. The clothes are spun so dry that it takes less time in the dryer. I really like the red color. The timer tells you how much time is left so you know when the laundry will be done. My husband loves the the fact that the drum lights up so you can see inside while loading or unloading the clothes. If fact the best thing is that he now wants to do the laundry. I should have bought it sooner."

What's great about it: multi options, customizable cycles
What's not so great: longer wash time
"I wanted to reduce the electric and water bill, and that has happened. It does take longer to do laundry these days, but it is a small price to pay for functionality. I no longer feel guilty about doing smaller loads, as the machine knows how much water is needed. It is quieter than any top loader I've had. The spin cycle removes so much water that the dryer cycles are shorter, resulting in less wear and tear on clothes. I also got the matching pedestal, and love having all the cleaning products out of sight, and having the machine raised to a very comfortable height for filling and emptying. I opted for the very vibrant and fun "wild cherry red". Laundry is a constant chore, but it doesn't have to be dull! With so many new colors available, choose your favorite and put some life into laundry day!"

"We bought this and the companion dryer during the Massachusetts tax free weekend. I have no regrets.
We love the fact that we can do big loads. The cats love to see the "space ship" turn around.
Our water bills are normally huge so we are looking forward to the savings. And our neighbors say they save a lot on electricity too.
The clothes are clean and smell great. We are using the HE detergent as recommended."

"This washer offers a number of cycles to cover any type of materials and amount of dirt. The laundry is far cleaner and softer than it ever was with the old top loader. The baby setting is great, it really helps get out the food stains and bacteria from all that drooling. It uses such a small amount of water and soap for each load it saves quite a bit of money."

"The LG washer is exactly what it is advertised as, and perhaps even better. Using less water and detergent, it is amazing at how clean the clothes are. It is very quiet. The selection of various types of wash are great. We have the complimenting dryer and have it stacked on the top of the washer--- great to have the added space in our small laundry area. Consumer Reports headed us in the direction of the washer and dryer and we have been very, very satisfied."

Love this washer

"I like that ths washer is front loading. Never had front load, but like not bend over into the washer . The senor for water level is a great feature. I thought there is no way it can get the clothes clean with so little water. It has a light what a nice feature. Lg went to the top with this washer. The color cherry is so stricking elegent when you walk into the laudry area.Glad I made this choice."
