What's great about it: saves water, quiet operation, monitors water temperature
What's not so great: kind of pricey

"Even though the Duet is kind of pricey, the features it offers are worth the cost. I especially like the quietness, the minimal use of water, and the gentleness on the clothes."

"We've had this washer for a couple of years, and I'm not very pleased with it. Although it does save a lot of water, changing an option after you have selected it is almost impossible. I sometimes like to soak clothes, and I use HE detergent, but the washer always manages to lock up because it has suds, and I have to re-start it.
I think if it had a dial instead of digital options, it might work better, but it still doesn't get clothes very clean. I miss my old top-loader!"

"I love everything about this machine. The wash settings are incredibly versatile, handling everything from heavy duty to silk and wool. Sensors automatically adjust the amount of water according to the load - no guess work. We purchased our 9400 18 months ago to replace a Maytag top loader and it has performed flawlessly. I might add that our water bill showed a significant drop.

I recommend getting the pedestal with it. We have found it useful for storage and it makes it so much easier to deal with laundry loads with the machine raised up.

I debated this purchase for a long time because of the expense, but I am delighted with it and think it is worth it."
