What's great about it: Large capacity
What's not so great: Began having problems less than 1 year after purchase
We bought the predecessor to this model and have been very disappointed with it. About 11 months after we bought it, we noticed that drying times were taking longer and longer (1.5 hours for a medium load of toddler clothes on high). Under warranty, we had it checked and the repairmain said we needed to clean the lint out of the hose going from the dryer to the outside of the house. We did that, and it did seem better. Now 6 months later, it's not drying at all. Because my previous dryer was Whirlpool and had worked very well for 15 years before I replaced it with this more energy efficient model, I didn't even consider getting the extended warranty. Now 1.5 years after having purchased it, we're going to have to pay to get it fixed. After this experience, we will think twice about buying whirlpool. If you buy this dryer, the extended warranty may be worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: quality
Oh-you know how great it feels, after this looong,never seems to be ending day ,to finally land in your bed?
At last. And what they say-as you do your bed-that's how you will sleep.Since I purchesed Whirlpool Duet Dryer my trips to the basement encreased slightly.I need to feel the softness of my newly clean linens over and over again-and that's what this particular dryer does.They feel soft.Sleep is good.Day does't seem so bad anymore-there is a night ahead...Is it JUST a dryer-is it just a bed?
