I bought this washer to replace an old Kenmore (14 yrs old). I LOVE this machine. It runs very quietly. All you can hear is a faint sound of water sloshing. It also has soooo many options. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommend!
What's great about it: holds BIG loads
What's not so great: nothing

I researched both washers and dryers in Consumer Reports (I am never led astray by them). But I also checked online reviews of both the GE washer/dryer set and the Maytag set (both recommended by CR). Every online review I read about the GE washer was negative! Every review I read about the GE dryer was positive! So I bought the GE dryer and the Maytag washer (slightly more expensive). I love both of them!!!!
My old washer lasted 36 years and the dryer, 33 years (Kenmore products). So I get a kick out of all the new bells and whistles on these new models. A big plus is that they both are so much more energy efficient.
I also recommend buying from Best Buy. I researched both machines at all available appliance dealers in my area and found the best prices. Took those prices to Best Buy and they beat them both by $10! A great experience all around.

I have had it for 2 years and never had any problem. I would buy another one just like it If I needed a Dryer.
What's great about it: Very Reliable
What's not so great: The lint filter is rather small so you have to clean it often.

I have used this dryer for about half a dozen loads of different sizes. This dryer looks great inside and outside. When you open up the wide front door, the inside light comes on. Inside of this GE Profile dryer looks so shiny and bright with the sparkling stainless steel drum. There are so many options and features to this machine. Clothes and other items to be dried come out so fresh and fluffy. Oh, by the way, this dryer is quite quiet. There is a end of cycle buzzer that lets you know your load is finished; it is not very loud. Review my Pros and Cons above for more info. I recommend this dryer to everyone.
What's great about it: Stainless steel drum, inside light, dryness sensor, countdown timer, looks
What's not so great: So many options, not a real problem. Okay! None

I purchased this dryer after I researched it very intensively...It has a HUGE Stainless Steel tub with a light (and "yeh" the light's necessary 'cause the tub is so big). It dries my clothes in the same amount of time it takes to wash a load. No waiting for the dryer to finish before putting in the next load.
