What's great about it: Fast, easy, and virtually no setup. What's not so great: Without a spare cable, you need to be very close to your router to link up.
"The Wii LAN adapter quite literally saved the day for my girlfriend and I. She has a wifi connection in her house and we spent hours trying to connect the Wii to the internet wirelessly, trying to get around firewalls and digging up security keys. We were able to find a spare cable that was long enough to link the adapter directly to her home router and in literally 2 minutes, we had the Wii operating online and were able to access the Virtual Console to download games! All you need to do is link the router to the LAN adapter, and then plug the adapter into one of the USB ports on the back of the Wii console...it is literally that simple. If you have a wireless router in your home and are having trouble getting your Wii online, I absolutely recommend picking up this product!"

"i bought this 4 days ago!! and i still have not been able to connect to the internet!! to many error codes. tryed callin datle services but no response. so who knows if it will ever work!! your takin a risk on buying one of these"

"We have a 360, PS3 and Wii, I have tried the wireless connection and always had problems holding down a reliable connection for any of the 5 items that had the wireless adapters to them (TV, Tivo, PS3, 360, Wii) and moving everything into a wired connection has made a huge difference in the speed and reliability of my connections. No more drag time on the Wii (which evidently is the weakest of wireless) This little piece of plastic is definately worth it's price if you want to be able to surf."

"I've only had this item for 2 days, and I am very pleased with it so far. If you don't have WiFi, its a must buy for anyone who wants to play online. This item does have a 5' ethernet cable included. But, you may have to buy a longer cable (like me), if your Wii is not near your modem (like mine)."

"The lan adapter is super simple (plug and play), it offers connection speeds and reliability superior to WiFi (No risk of losing the signal, no annoying conflicts with other devices), and it's definitely worth the purchase. I could barely play a match of Super Smash Bros Brawl on my Wifi, potenially a conflict on my end, so I decided to pick this bad boy up. It cleared the problem up in an instant and I no longer have that issue. Traversing the Wii Shop and Internet is much speedier, as are downloads. 100% recommended buy to those with our without wifi. (Best Buy actually has it cheaper than most other places... go figure!)"

What's great about it: Original Nintendo product. What's not so great: None.
"I own a Nintendo Wii & Sony PS3. I have them set up next to each other, but not too close. Because they both use wi-fi, somehow the PS3 over-powers the Wii and interferes with its wireless connection. I was told its because there sharing the same channel on my router. For a faster and better gaming experiance, everybody says to just get a direct LAN adapter. I was so happy to find out Nintendo makes this adapter! 3rd party brands usually aren't that good, you can't beat original Nintendo OEM products. Now no more interference! Internet works faster on Wii. I never have connection problems like before. A must have for serious gamers."

"Easy to use and works perfectly. I would recommend this wii lan adapter to anyone. And once you get this, you can download all those great classic games from systems past like, NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Grafx and Nintendo 64.
