What's great about it: great black Friday price, cleans dishes extremely well
What's not so great: small capacity, tall baking sheets don't fit standing sideways
"We are selling our home and needed a new white dishwasher to replace the black one we had. The price was one we couldn't pass up (189.00 on Black Friday). We're moving, so I didn't really care about specifics. What I found is this: the value for what we paid is great. It does clean very well, but since it's not a deep dishwasher, I can't fit everything in it that I could with my other one. It's also not very quiet like it states. I wouldn't be happy using this on a permanent basis after using my previous one, but for now, it will do. Just glad my other one is in storage."

What's great about it: Cleans the dishes VERY well. Easy to operate and lots of features for the price.
What's not so great: this puppy is LOUD
"We have used this Whirlpool for a month and it works great. Our dishes come out perfect. We have had expensive DWs and this one cleans them as good or better than any of them. We got it at xmas, so the price was just $200. Unbelievable deal -especially for a Whirlpool. The only drawback is the noise. This puppy is loud.-you can always use the delay feature.
Can't do better for the money."

Great Dishwasher

What's great about it: Cleans dishes without having to wash them first.
What's not so great: standard size tub, wish it was a little bigger
"This was a surprise from my husband. I believe he picked well. I like having the utensil basket on the door. It leaves more room for dishes in the bottom drawer. we got it on the day after Thanksgiving sale and it's been doing great."

What's great about it: It works great for the price
What's not so great: Silverware may not always get completely clean.
"This is a great appliance for the price. I have never had a dishwasher in my life and love it. The only issue is the silverware holder is on the door, this may be why they are not always completly clean. Otherwise the appliance looks great and runs like a charm."

What's great about it: Nothing so far
What's not so great: Soap Dispenser
"I do not always believe what people say in these reviews. Advise if you want it. I have had this for 5 weeks. I live alone a don't run the dishwasher often. Had company this New Year's and had enough dishes to try out the new dishwasher! The first time I tried to use it the soap dispenser doesn't open. Ran it 2 more times and the problem is still there. Now I need to pay for travel time for someone to replace it. $60 for a $35 part. Product has yet to work so I cannot give a accurate review."

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: doesn't dry dishes, repair service sucks. Returned to best buy for refund.
"I will never buy another Whirlpool. THis model didn't dry dishes unless you had full of Jet DRy every time you load it. Leaves moisture for days after washing and leaves dishes drenched even with heated dry.
Not happy at all."

What's great about it: Easy to install and operate
What's not so great: breaks down
"I've had this dishwasher for 5 years and have had two control boards go bad. At $200 (that includes the fuse +shipping, handling, and tax) apiece, it's not worth replacing again. The first one was covered by the warranty, but I don't want to spend $200 every 2-3 years just to keep it running. My truck doesn't cost this much to maintain!"

"We purchased this dishwasher 2 years ago and the control panel went out. Out of warranty and it would cost more to repair than to replace. Will not go with this model again."

What's great about it: price
What's not so great: customer service
"I bought this unit new straight out of the box. When it was installed it didn't work. It seems there was a defect in the lock and switch assembly. After numerous phone calls and over a week later they still haven't fixed the unit. As of now it might be fixed by next week. This is the second time I have gone to whirlpools customer service and gotten this runaround. The last time it took 2 month to repair the warrantied item."

"I really enjoy this dishwasher. I was thrilled when I could use the delay start on my machine. It helps when you are trying to get kids in the bathtub, the same time you are trying to wash dishes. This one is much better that all of the one's that I have used before."

What's great about it: Easy to install and gets the dishers clean
What's not so great: The door was initially noisy
"This is just your average dishwasher without a lot of bells and whistles. I like it because there is spray arm right under the upper rack that helps to get my glases clean. I also like the fact that there is lots of space between the lower and upper rack. Now I can fit large bowls and my daughters high chair tray in the lower rack. I couldn't do this with my previous dishwasher. It isn't super quiet and it is real loud. One neat little feature is the clean light. This light stays on after the load is completed to let you know the dishes are clean. You can quickly open and close the dishwasher to grab a clean dish and it won't turn off. It only turns off when you leave the door open for a long period of time to put the dishes away. This saves a lot of confusion between me and my roomates."
