"This game features many nintendo characters and several different game modes. The mini games are fun for everyone and are very easy for most people to understand. I would not recommend this game to children under 7."

Pros: the game is great for entertaining lots of people and no skill is needed to win.
Cons: when playing with one or three people the computer joins you. however the computer always does better!
"i love having friends over to play this game. we have actually made friday nights mario party night. you never know who's going to win and you cant help but crack up to see how silly everyone looks when playing this game."

Pros: lots of worlds, fun strategy game, multi-player
"This is the best mario party game yet. There are tons of new mini games to keep you entertained. There are new worlds, and each of them features a unique goal to attain. This game is so much fun, especially when you get to use the wii remotes to play the mini games. THere are varying lengths and difficulty...so you can adjust the settings for any type of crowd or situation. I absolutely love this game, its a perfect multiplayer strategy game with fun mini games and it takes full advantage of the wii remote abilities."

"It was a good game, but some of it was not challenging enough. some of the mini games were not even hard at all. the ones that use the wii remotes' sensors were pretty good, but others like shaking a soda can were not all that much fun. Overall, i thoughtit was pretry good"

"Competitions are fun for any age group and the skills you need to play make it fair for young and old kids to compete together. The competitions all follow a storyboard layout (move your character from start to finish), so you get breaks in the action when it isn't your turn. But it's still fun to watch the other players as they take their turn. Each round of individual play is followed by group competition (individual, 2 on 2, and sometimes 3 on 1).
Play some gameboards as individuals or team up 2 on 2 on others. Play as your favorite Nintendo character. With the computer filling in for any missing players. The variety of gameboards keeps the game interesting.
Definitely a game to play with the family or group of friends."

"I have played all of the mario party series and this by far is the most fun!! The Wii remote is an awesome addition to the mini game play! There are so many different ways that you have to move in the game it really makes this game a blast!! I would deffinitly recommend this game for all ages... no violence or fighting just good old fashioned game board fun made better by those guys at Nintendo! Enjoy!"

Cons: takes a lot of time to get all of the mini games
"pretty cool game! I enjoy it, but would say it is more for the ages of six to fourteen. I think the mini games are fun, but you need a lot of time to unlock them all. great for parties, and will keep kids from being boared. I would recomend it as a good birthday gift."

"I bought Mario Party 8 because I love Mario Party games. In Mario party 8 there is a variety of minigames, unfortunately the minigames really stink. The controls are good but all the games controls feel repetitive and boring. The graphics are under average compared to some games on wii. The sound effects and music sound like every other Mario Party game in existance. It's still fun to play with a friend on the couch but singleplayer is bad. This time they attempted a linear story mode that is horribly boring. The maps are boring and don't even come close to mario party 6's or 7's maps. This is one of the shorter reviews that I have written because I don't want to talk about a horrible game for more than a couple paragraphs. On a scale from 1-10 (10 being the highest) this game gets a 3.9"

"I bought my wii and didn't have many games at all.. wanted something I could play with friends when they visit.. Little did I know I would also be able to play with my 3 year old son too! My son enjoys this game as much as I do and he loves playing the "bad guys game" as he calls it..
This game doesn't take much skill at all but yet is interesting enough to keep parents and grandparents interested in it!
Nintendo did a good thing with the wii to get people up moving around.. but this game doesn't get you moving around.. can sit on the couch and play this one with ease.."

"It is games like this that make me glad that the Wii exists. Mario and The Wii combined continue to surprise me at the fun interactive games they keep coming up with. There are so many mini games to play that you will never get bored. It is especially fun to play the 1 vs. 3 games when the 1 is ahead of every body else."
