What's great about it: Improved performance at a fair price
What's not so great: Nothing so far!
"I have a 2003 apple ibook and decided to upgrade instead of purchasing a new laptop. 512MB of RAM just wasn't doing the trick when it came to watching videos or downloading anything. Upgrading to 1.25GB makes it seem like a new machine! It was very easy to install. I have only been using it for a couple of days, but the improvement is astounding! I hope that it continues to deliver fast results in the future."

What's great about it: super easy installation; noticeable difference in my iBook G4
What's not so great: n/a
"I had almost given up on my iBook G4 because it was so slow. After researching ways to improve my computer's performance, I bought this RAM upgrade and it's made a very noticeable difference. It's super easy to install (took me about 2 minutes total); goes right underneath the keyboard, which is easy to pop off."

What's great about it: Speeded up my iBook G4 Greatly and Super Affordable
What's not so great: Nothing.
"It speeded up my iBook G4 and made an obvious difference. The only thing was that I was having a problem installing it. It wound up being that I just didn't push it in far enough, and once I did, I booted up the computer and there was a very clear and obvious difference in the speed. This is a great piece of ram because its so effective and so affordable!"

What's great about it: A SINCH TO INSTALL AND WAS READ BY MY TOSHIBA INSTANTANEOUSLY
"I HAVE USED PNY A WHILE AGO IN ANOTHER LAPTOP AS WELL AS A DESKTOP .... BOTH WERE VERY EASY TO INSTALL AND NO ISSUES WITH EITHER MY SONY LAPTOP OR HP DESKTOP READING THE RAM STRAIGHT UP.....MY TOSHIBA M45 SERIES ONLY HAD 1 CHIP 512... ADDED 1 GB TO
IT AND COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW QUICK START UP WAS IMMEDIATELY...
PNY IS MY BRAND OF CHOICE....REGARDLESS OF THE $$$$$"

What's great about it: works great, got it cheap, install was a sinch.
What's not so great: the first one was defective and i almost didnt try to do it again.
"the first piece of memory i dropped into my Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 didnt work and i became discouraged, but after i did extensive research on the internet everywhere i looked said that this chip would work, the model number is the same as Kingstons and that one is 109.99 and the PNY was only 39.99, so i exchanged it (no problems at all) and installed this one in the parking lot, and just like that it worked. Very happy customer, i feel like my computer has been revived! AAA+++ good buy."

What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to install
What's not so great: EXPENSIVE!
"I have an older laptop that had only 512MB of RAM. The laptop took a while to load applications, and could only run 1 or 2 at a time. I bought this RAM, and it has made an enormous difference. Applications load faster than ever, and I can play music, browse the web, and use Word all at the same time. This is a great thing to have if your computer has less than 1GB of RAM. The only downside is the price. I managed to get it on sale for $62, so if you have the time, wait untill it goes on sale."

What's not so great: instructions not very good
"I bought two of these for my 4 year old compaq presario notebook for $50 each. Took about 15 minutes to figure out how to install properly. Instructions helped very little. Great product if you know how to install RAM. Best Buy was very helpful in telling me if this would work with my laptop or not before i bought it."

What's great about it: speed, processing time
"Anyone with a PC hates to wait on it to process data, etc. This card has worked without a flaw. As a photographer, processing time is critical. Delays cost. Working in photoshop and other program at the same time, has it's frustrations. This unit has improved the speed and reduced the frustrations of waiting."

"I have been running my laptop on two of these 1GB sticks for quite a while and they have held up well. I often have more than one memory intensive program running at a time and my laptop continues to run smoothly. PNY is my preferred brand of RAM since I have had great luck with every stick I have purchased. I already recommend PNY memory to all my clients, and I urge everyone reading this to give it a try as well."

"This product was very easy to install and took only 1 or 2 minutes to put in. I bought two of these sticks (2x1GB) and put them in my Dell Inspiron 6000 and made a HUGE difference. The two sticks of memory made my over all performance so much faster on booting up and opening and running applications. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a performance boost."

"I just upgraded my Compaq Presario R3000 notebook from 512MB to 1250MB. The notebook had 2x256MB cards installed; one on the back, and the primary under the keyboard. I thought changing the primary memory card was going to be a problem. I searched the internet and downloaded the repair manual for the notebook. I had to remove 7 screws, lift up the keyboard, pop out the old card and install the new 1GB card. I then had to simply replace the screws I removed. The whole process took about 10 minutes. I crossed my fingers and turned my notebook back on. It instantly recognized the memory and I was off and running. What an inexpensive and easy upgrade to make a nice improvement in my laptop's performance. Best bang for the buck to upgrade the performance of your machine."
