What's great about it: its awesome product
What's not so great: instructions not very good
"I bought two of these for my 4 year old compaq presario notebook for $50 each. Took about 15 minutes to figure out how to install properly. Instructions helped very little. Great product if you know how to install RAM. Best Buy was very helpful in telling me if this would work with my laptop or not before i bought it."

What's great about it: speed, processing time
"Anyone with a PC hates to wait on it to process data, etc. This card has worked without a flaw. As a photographer, processing time is critical. Delays cost. Working in photoshop and other program at the same time, has it's frustrations. This unit has improved the speed and reduced the frustrations of waiting."

"I have been running my laptop on two of these 1GB sticks for quite a while and they have held up well. I often have more than one memory intensive program running at a time and my laptop continues to run smoothly. PNY is my preferred brand of RAM since I have had great luck with every stick I have purchased. I already recommend PNY memory to all my clients, and I urge everyone reading this to give it a try as well."

What's great about it: EASY TO INSTALL, SUPER FAST SPEED, JUMPSTARTED PERFORMANCE
What's not so great: None
"This product was very easy to install and took only 1 or 2 minutes to put in. I bought two of these sticks (2x1GB) and put them in my Dell Inspiron 6000 and made a HUGE difference. The two sticks of memory made my over all performance so much faster on booting up and opening and running applications. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a performance boost."

"This product was definitely a great buy. My notebook used to run so slow that I hated to use it. However, now that I have cleaned my registry and installed the NY Optima 1GB PC2700 DDR SoDIMM Notebook Memory my computer works great! The memory stick was easy to install, and it has made such a considerable improvement in my notebook's performance that I would recommend the product to anyone. My friends don't know how I ever survived for so long without buying this memory stick."

What's not so great: if its not on sale....its a lil pricy
"I bought this memory because i've had my laptop for about three years now and the factory 512mb of ram just wasn't doing it by today standards. Since i can't afford a new computer right now, this 2GB upgrade was very helpful and economical for me. My computer runs programs soooo much smoother now :)"

"I just upgraded my Compaq Presario R3000 notebook from 512MB to 1250MB. The notebook had 2x256MB cards installed; one on the back, and the primary under the keyboard. I thought changing the primary memory card was going to be a problem. I searched the internet and downloaded the repair manual for the notebook. I had to remove 7 screws, lift up the keyboard, pop out the old card and install the new 1GB card. I then had to simply replace the screws I removed. The whole process took about 10 minutes. I crossed my fingers and turned my notebook back on. It instantly recognized the memory and I was off and running. What an inexpensive and easy upgrade to make a nice improvement in my laptop's performance. Best bang for the buck to upgrade the performance of your machine."

"My old HP had 512MB, was not sure about how much I can expand it- so remember to check in the manufacture site and then ask the geak sq as well. Anyway increased it to 2 GB and it running 20 times faster and stronger. This is an expensive upgrade however look over diffrent sites and electronic shops- bestbuy will match any other offer. And the bottom line you get a computer with amazing performance."

"You can bring new life to your laptop with this great upgrade. The more RAM you have the better, and this RAM definetly improved my Windows laptop. I upgraded from 512MB and it is like night and day. I now have 1256MB of RAM. Only thing you have to remember is to check how many FREE memory slots you have. The original 512MB was made up of 2x256MB so I now have 1x256MB stick that I don’t really need.
I have bought PNY memory before and it has yet to fail me. You can’t go wrong with this brand."
