What's great about it: Made my PC faster.

It definitely made my PC faster from 512MB to 2GB. I noticed the difference rite away when I started using my PC again. However my PC is extremely old so I highly suggest if your thinking about upgrading from 512MB, make sure it can get upgraded to atleast 4GB because 2GB ain't cutting it compared to my home pc and other laptops.

What's great about it: Fast, cheap memory upgrade
What's not so great: Nothing!
This was actually my first laptop memory upgrade, so I did some research...found out the ACER I was installing on was just about the easiest upgrade I could hope for.
Anyway, 7 screws and 4 minutes later - voila!! Double the memory and awesome performance enhancement. Not sure of the long-term value of these memory modules, but they fit, they work, and I'm happy. Good purchase and I definitely recommend BB's prices...

What's great about it: Easy to install, lightning fast.
What's not so great: A little pricey, but still worth it.
I purchased this memory just this morning, installed it, and my laptop has never been faster. Before, I only had 512MB of memory, but with 2GB it is like lightning. Quadrupling your memory is really worth it! Because of this upgrade, I can actually play games, video chat on Skype, and much more. Highly recommend buying this memory, even though the price is a bit high.

What's great about it: Awesome price @ 59.98 down from 190.00. Great upgrade especially for VISTA
What's not so great: NONE
I installed this in my Toshiba L45 S7423 that had the standard memory (2 x 512mb) installed. Upon startup I noticed an exceptional increase in speed. I mean everything was moving much faster. My files would open faster, programs would start faster, folders open faster, etc. This is one of the best purchases I have made lately and I would highly recommend it.
For the others who have had problems or noticed no increase you should take into consideration what programs you have running in the background, what starts up automatically upon startup of your computer and what you are trying to use your computer for in conjunction to what it is recommended for (for example if you are trying to use a standard laptop for gaming, etc.).

i was in the store and saw that i could get 2 gigs for only 58 bucks...pretty good deal i thought. i guess its made my compaq presario c700 faster but idk. i love computers but new to installing memory and im about to get a graphics card 2. hopefully ill have good luck again...if u wanna good deal for a ram upgrade then this is it

What's great about it: Cheap but Noticeable Performance Boost!

I installed this in my Compaq Presario C700 laptop, also bought from Best Buy. Prior to the upgrade the Windows Vista gadget that measures CPU performance and RAM availability showed that over 73% of my RAM was occupied - and I was just doing low-intensity tasks such as using the Internet! Now I can easily have Photoshop open to edit photos, Word open to create corresponding narratives, and MySpace open where I upload everything - and only about 50% of my RAM is used up! I used to close and reopen programs as I needed them - now I have no qualms about having everything I need running at once! In addition, the system is noticeably faster. For 60 bucks this is a cheap but very effective upgrade! Tip: the price has returned to its regular price - but you can currently get the same deal by buying two of the 1 GB upgrades.

What's great about it: speeds up apps and boot to log in screen
Sped up boot time to log in screen on my Hp dv6000 series laptop. Noticable imorovement on applications, and will be good for bolstering performance needed with the integrated 6150 Go video. this is an absolute steal at this price.

What's great about it: 2 GB's need a say more
installed in a flash on my macbook pro, no problem had it for about a month now.. I also have windows installed via bootcamp on my system it loads pretty fast but the load up time for the mac os is insane would recommend for any of those users who want a lil pep in there computers step

I bought this for my notebook PC to upgrade the memory so I can run more apps. It didn't seem to help and actually slows dwn the start up and shutdown of my notebook

Just one of the PC2-5300, 1Gb modules works fine in my Toshiba, Satallite, M115-S1061, PC2-4200. But, when I install both of the 1Gb modules ( max. 2Gb ) into the slots, I get an error message and the notebook will not boot up. Also, I can install just 1 module and leave the 512 Mb, PC2-4200 module in its slot ( 1.5 Gb RAM ) and the system boots up fine and dandy. So, no one can tell me why both 1Gb modules will not work.
