What's great about it: Affordable, very effective, worth every cent
What's not so great: NONE
"I just bought two of these very well priced 1 gig memory cards and they completely changed my computer speed for the best. Internet pages load a lot faster and my over all multitasking capabilities are broadened. For such a low price if you want a reliable piece of hardware then this is the right thing for you."

What's great about it: great product, great price
What's not so great: none
"I purchased two 1GB for my laptop. Honestly, I was a little intimidated at first to upgrade my computer (never opening my laptop before). It took me less than 5 minutes to take out the old memory and input the new. The hardest part of the job was putting the screws back in. Money very well spent."

What's not so great: umm, umm, this is hard
"this is just a great product, and i would deffinately reccomend it to any of my friends, even a technology noob (newbie for those old people) can install this which makes everybodys day. my problem is with best buy, who is charging like what 140 for this memory when you can get it at a discount online place that rhymes with pies electronics for 19.99."

What's great about it: Easy to install, no problems.
What's not so great: None
"Having received a new laptop for Christmas I wanted to increase the memory. I went to Best Buy and spoke with a rep who recommended this product. I purchased 2gbs. and came home and started doing my homework on how to install. My laptop has a good online manual that includes pictures on installing memory. I printed it out and 5 minutes later my upgrade was complete and has been working great since!"

What's great about it: Now I like my Vista!
What's not so great: None
"I recently purchased a Vaio with 1GB and Vista Premium. It works pretty nice but some tasks are not so easy, especially to render 3D images. So, I took off both 512MB that cames in the notebook and put 2 x 1GB.
Its easy and fast! Highly recommended."

Very Good Notebook Ram

What's great about it: Very good will make a difference. got it on sale
What's not so great: None and I hope none will happen
"I just installed this on my Sony Vaio and I wouldn't say it was a big difference for me because I had 2x 512MB and now I got 1.5 GB but there was a difference. Later on I will buy another one when it is on sale again for $30 and it is recommended for sure and also I would wait for it to be on sale. Its on sale mostly every 2-4 weeks because every week they have a 1GB notebook ram for sale for $30. Kingston is a very good kind."

What's great about it: easy install, faster speed
What's not so great: none
"Real easy install on my new laptop, Compaq presario, this was the first thing i upgraded and well worth it. opened up the back cover, took out the old memory and snapped in the new ones. did everything in 10min. everything is quicker, web, games, windows programs, videos, etc. Remember you must buy 2 of these, ur memory comes in pairs. if u want to double ur ram and you have 1gb standard on ur comp.. u have to take out the (2) 512mb's and install (2) 1gb's to make ur comp 2gb."

easy inexpencive upgrade

What's great about it: easy to install
What's not so great: non
"I bought this to upgrade my Toshiba laptop Model A100 s2211td that came with Celeron 1.6 and 256 Ram. I thought of this as an inexpencive way to upgrade my laptop and to save my self buying a new laptop. the installation took me one minute to cut the package and one minute to install the new memory in the unocupied slot. the result was amazing, I'm still having the 256 ram next to this 1 GB beause my laptop could not work without the original ram due to the shared graphic memory I guess !! If I can make my laptop work without the original memory that came with it, I will buy a second 1 GB just like this one and install it next to it as I have only to slots. I use Microsoft Streets and trips/ windows XP daily in my delivery work , this memory is such a relief"

What's great about it: Speeds Up Boot Time, Makes Vista Work 100x Better
What's not so great: You Have to Get Over the Fear of Opening the Case
"I recently purchased an HP-Pavillion (dv6604nr). It came w/1GB of RAM. I was disappointed at the speed after only a few days of use. This morning, I decided to upgrade. I bought 2 sticks of this RAM and replaced the 2 512MB w/the 2 sticks of 1GB. I was scared of opening the case, but it is very very simple to install. I booted up and had to do absolutely nothing. It automatically recognized the new RAM. I highly recommend this to Vista users, it makes your Vista experience much better."

What's great about it: Value, ease, performance
What's not so great: none
"This was an amazing upgrade. I have a compaq presario with windows vista. I was disappointed to say the least with the speed. I was looking into going back to xp sp2. I purchased it, got home, and as fast as I could turn off the computer I was done. Started back up with an amazing improvement. I was lucky enough to buy on sale for a great price but I even if i was to buy it for more than full price it would be worth it. I will probably go back so I can upgrade to the full 2 GB. Money well spent."

Best Bang for the Buck

What's great about it: Inexpensive boost to performance, EASY - low geekness requirement
What's not so great: You'll have to get over that fear of opening the case
"Come on folks- this is absolutely the best way to get that d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g laptop moving. You've added software (probably have a pile o' stuff on your deskstop -shame on you), a lot of system tray items for weather, etc. and your system takes forever. (It may even be the same as it was when you bought it, but everything else sped up in the ensuing 2 yrs.) Follow the instructions in your laptop's manual (most can be downloaded) or instr packed with the memory. 1- find a safe, clearplace to work, 2-ground yourself by touching a metal part, screw, whatever to eliminate static electricity differentials. 3- Once you start, don't get up from your chair or move around. If you must, reground yourself to the computer frame before touching anything else. I like to do it while holding the package in the other hand. 4- Open the case, find the empty slot 5-Open the memory package carefully -don't remove the memory until you're ready to insert it in the slot. 6-take the memory directly from the pkg to the slot and install carefully per the instructions. 7- button up the machine 8-start 'er up. Auto config should detect and update memory amount. 9- In WIN XP- go to START, PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, System Information. 10- Scroll down to Total Physical Memory and you should see the new total. VOILA!"

What's great about it: works in my $299.00 gateway laptop from BB
What's not so great: none
"I purchased memory online for instore pickup. When I went to pick it up, they gave me the desktop, not the laptop, memory. BB gave me $10.00 off for waiting more than one min while they went to get the correct memory."

What's great about it: Would highly recommend if in doubt
"I did not want to purchase online fearing it would not be compatible and I did not want to wait for it to arrive in the mail, so I purchased in the store today (and it was on sale). Had plenty in stock and sales associate assured me it was compatible. Had Geek Squad install - once I turned on my computer when I got home, instantly noticed a difference. Computer was not sluggish any more. If your in doubt if you should upgrade, don't hesitate - go for it!"

What's great about it: Worked right away.
What's not so great: None as of yet
"I'm really glad this memory stick worked. I just bought the Toshiba a135-4527 and put the "Value Select" brand and it caused my system to crash multiple times. Then, I bought this brand and everything works fine. Plus, it was on sale for $44.00 which made my day..."
