What's great about it: looks nice, durable, gets the job done.
What's not so great: small screen, slow texting, crackling audio - ringtones, no camera, boring features.
"I bought this as my first phone at the time. I got bored of it so easily. I have a thing for big screens but VM always seems to make their screens very small even on their more costly phones. I also like phones with cameras which this does not include. If you get a text message or send them it's seems to be very slow at times. The features aren't that great, the phones are all programmed alike and aren't very modern to me. Though you can have the phone dropped a lot and it will still work fine.
If you need a phone that you'll use pretty much for just calling mainly or you rarely use it, this phone would do the job."

What's great about it: Unbreakable
What's not so great: No Camera, Extremely slow texting, no pic texting, phone messes up alot, not alot of batterie time.
"The only good thing about the Marbl is that you can throw it and drop it and beat it up and it does not break no matter what you do with it. But if you are big on texting this phone isnt for you. At first the texting is okay but as you text more messages the phone starts to slow down and the phone seems to have a bug that messes up what you are writing. When it starts slowing down the more you text all the other features take longer to start and you have to take the batterie out to turn it off because the phone usually doesn't turn off just by pressing the button to turn it off. If you are constantly using the phone it runs out of batterie pretty fast. I wouldn't recommend this phone to someone unless want a cell just for occasional calling. I myself are about to upgrade to the Wildcard :]"

"This phone suck's!!!! i had it for 3 month and the scren break and half of the time the keypad didn't work. and i would turn it off and 2 minutes later it would come back on. by the end of the 4th month i had it i had to get a new phone because it didn't work. so this phone is a wast of money."

"This is not a very good phone 2 by for you or your children!
Even though you may want a cheap phone to start out with its better to go for a phone that is worth more for your money, especially if you like to text. But if u just want a phone to make calls on occasion then this would be the perfect buy for you. Otherwise by another prepaid phone that may be expensive but worth your while."

What's great about it: simple, effective, low cost, online & running quickly
What's not so great: txt message entry slow and bug in software
"This phone may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. It was working out of the box within minutes. and Virgin Mobile's website allows access to all the tools you need to utilize, monitor and control your phone usage. the only thing I can't stand is the txt msg entry. It waits an extra second when entering letters on the same digit - and that drives me nuts. There is a slight delay when entering a word that needs to wrap to the next line. this delay causes the phone software to screw up and move the cursor back a few characters - and then you start typing over text that you've already entered. If you want a phone that you won't cry about if you drop it or run it over or you are inbetween contracts - this is the phone for you :-)"

"A good phone for occasional use. Also a good first phone for pre-teens or teens. Easy to use, but not very fancy. Make sure to buy a car charger because the battery does not hold a charge for long."

"i hate this phone with a passion....at first i had a cyclops but i lost it so i bought this phone....it constantly blacks out and i always have to take the battery out and put it back in.....i text alot and this phone is horrible for that....it takes a while for it to catch up with the words after im finished typing them.....i'm about to buy another cyclops just because i hate this phone so much....DO NOT BUY!"

"This phone was absolutely awful! The only thing that was a positive about this phone was that it was so cheap. I got the phone and read the reviews about how slow the keys were and how bad it was at texting thinking "I might be able to live with it". NO! As soon as I got the phone it took every ounce of energy that I had not to throw it against the wall! It takes 10 minutes to type out a text? And then once it does catch up to what you typed out, your sentence "Everyone is fine" will turn into "Evrlyfitkitbzl" or some other sort of variation of something completely different from what you wanted your text to say. Not to mention the poor battery life, the poor reception and the horrifying games, I took this phone back as soon as I could. This phone is not for texting. Believe it, I gave it a chance and it let me down. Spend a little more if you want to get a phone for texting or anything else. Stay away from this phone. Nothing good will come from this phone. STAY AWAY!!!"

"This is the absolutly positively WORST PIECE OF MACHINERY EVER INVENTED. The first month, it makes and annoying sound when you open it. The second month, when you call someone their voice is scrathy, and not because of a cold. The third month, it breaks. This is what happend to me. I NEVER dropped the phone, or did anything bad to it. I treated it like...good. Do yourself or whoever you are buying this phone for a favor...DO NOT BUY A VIRGIN MOBILE MARBL!!!!!!!!"

"okay i purchased a replacement plan for my old phone. i had the oyster i liked it some but it ended up being dumb after about six months. my aunt took it up to best buy when i was in school and she came home with the marbl. the first thing i thought when i opened it up was it feels like it'll break if i drop it. i'm pretty tough on my phones, i also noticed it makes a clicky very bad sound when you bend the top just a little when its opened. i DO NOT do anything else but text. and it is SO slow. my friend and my brother also have this horrible phone and my brothers phone has this big orange blob in the middle of his screen now. and my friends ended up going technicolor on the screen and went to black. i would not recommend this phone to anyone. it is a horrible phone, my friend and i agree it's the worst virgin mobile phone out of all of them and i can't wait to go to best buy and get a different phone to replace it. if i have to get it again i just won't have a cellphone anymore."

"One of the worst phones I have ever purchased. It is cheap, but random lock ups can cause you to miss calls if you aren't constantly checking th see if the phone is actually working.
Phone makes an annoying beep every 5 minutes to alert you of a missed call. Can be real annoying if the call comes in the middle of the night causing you to get up to silence it. It does this een in vibrate or silent mode.
THe phone clarity and reception are good for the price, but the lock ups make this a poor choice for a phone."

What's great about it: Lightweight, real music ringtones, flip style, excellent reception.
What's not so great: graphics are bad, not many feature options and ringtones are hollow
"The phone has 3 factory ringtone options, 4 factory wallpapers and 2 factory screensavers. The phone only has 2.5 mb of space for downloaded ringtones, wallpapers, and screensavers.
The phone doesn't have any perks other than the real music ringtones, which are very loud {even on the lowest volume setting} they also sound very hollow. I have heard worse from other, more expensive phones though.
This phone gets excellent reception, I have never had less than 3 bars.
I feel like it is definitly worth the money and on the plus side, if it gets lost, stolen or broken it won't be a major loss."

"I bought this phone because it was cheaper than buying a new charger for the one I had, (also Virgin mobile). I have read a lot of reviews saying it's a slow phone for texting, but I don't know, I'm not a big fan of texting, never was. I get good coverage almost anywhere I go, the battery lasts me throughout the day. My biggest complaints are the keys are slow to respond, especially when ending a call and the ringer can't always be heard if there is a lot of background noise. If you want to download ringtones, check your balance, etc, use the Virgin Mobile website on your computer, NOT the phone as it is painfully slow for web browsing. If you use your cell mainly to make and receive calls, or just for emergencies, this phone will do the job for very short money."

"I would spend a little more next time around for a better phone. I only bought it for emergencies as an extra, but if I were to use it on a daily basis I would definitely not buy it. When I text, it doesn't keep up with what I am typing in, the battery drains very quickly, extra features are nonexistent, and sometimes the phone randomly turns off or restarts. Also, it says I am in a call when I'm not which limits the functionality of the phone."

What's great about it: Good price, stylish exterior, large buttons
What's not so great: Slow response time, weird wallpapers, poor selection of ringtones
"This is an okay phone. For texting which is my main use of it the buttons are a nice size-large enough for speed texting and small enough to still look nice. The rapid entry (T9 word) system isn't always accurate. The really bad thing about this phone is a really slow response time when texting and scrolling through menus. And the wallpapers are all very strange-two of them are of flies and ants. The ringtones are nice, especially "Walk the Bubble" but there is still a poor selection. I definitely like the Virgin Mobile service though-Internet and texting are very cheap and the reception is good in my area. As for this phone-well, you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's not that much."
