What's great about it: Very clean clothes, Very quiet What's not so great: door drips water on floor when open
"AWESOME machine. Clothes come out clean. Washer doesn't "beat up" clothes so very little lint in the dryer's lint catcher. Only drawback is occasionally water droplets remain on door so when you open the door, the water drips on the floor. So quiet I don't know when it's running. Even spin cycle is very quiet. Thank goodness for the alarm or I'd never know when a load is done."

What's great about it: Ultra quiet, easy to use, looks nice, fits under my cabinets even with the pedastals installed
"I love this washer. I got the dryer and pedastals too. It is easy to use. I love the wrinkle release and the wrinkle prevent features. I put my son's sheets and comforter in and washed with no problems. Make sure you use he soap and just a little or you have way too many suds."

"Bought this yesterday. We could not believe how silently it operated. Having a countdown to know when the cycle is through is great. Our well and septic system will benefit greatly from the reduced water use. The clothes also come out with a lot less water in them so they dry about 20 minutes faster in our old dryer. We can't wait to get the matching dryer for the unified appearance, but more so the sensor drying to reduce energy usage further..."

"Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) is a MUST for 2nd floor laundry rooms!!! The washer lives up to the new technology, when we first installed the washing machine it took me about 7 loads of laundry before I "caught" the machine during a spin cycle! I kept intentionally trying to notice when the machine would be in the spin cycle, and each time I missed it because it was so quiet and it DIDN"T SHAKE THE HOUSE (unlike our previous 2 front loading washing machines!!) We built our house 8 years ago when 2nd floor laundry rooms were coming on the scene, but we didn't expect the violent shaking that would ALWAYS occur during the spin cycle on the front loading washing machine!! The machine wrecked havoc on our house every spin cycle, and that was even on the slowest spin cycle that I could choose (which would then mean more dry time because the clothes weren't getting spun as much as they should have been.) We had that problem with both the Frigidaire and our previous Samsung model. . .so my husband was threatening to eliminate the 2nd floor laundry room altogether (which with 5 kids, that was a FRIGHTENING thought to me!!) Then we had to replace our Samsung front loader because the digital dial had a problem (thanks to Best Buy's no lemon warranty, we got to just pick out a new washer) and I saw Samsung's VRT advertised on their current front loader, and it said it was designed with 2nd floor laundry rooms in mind, so I had to give it a try. . .it's been AWESOME (my husband has revoked his threat)!! I have it on the EXTRA HIGH spin cycle, so my drying time is decreased SIGNIFICANTLY, and it STILL doesn't shake the house one bit!!!! I LOVE IT!!! Added bonuses are the sanitizing options (regular sanitizing with hot water OR the Silver Care option), and it does a great job cleaning the clothes and keeping them vibrant and new looking."

"I bought this washer about a month ago, and it has been wonderful. I really love it! The capacity is truly large -- I can do what would have taken two loads in my old washer in one load in my Samsung. With the high speed spin, it has made a tremendous difference in dryer time, saving lots of electricity. With my previous washer, I would need to dry the towel loads once, then re-set the timer for another half cycle to get the load dry. With this washer, I do twice as many towels in a load, and the dryer gets them dry in one cycle. So I have cut my dryer time to a third of what it was previously. And yes, there is less lint after a load -- so it must be saving on wear and tear on our clothes. The silver cycle is also just as wonderful as I had hoped. I tested this the first week by washing a sweater that was headed for the garbage, simply due to perspiration odors that wouldn't go away after washing. I washed the sweater with the silver care cycle, then wore it on a day that turned so warm that I had to take off my coat during a long walk. I gave the sweater a real test, believe me. And that night the sweater had no odor. This should really come in handy this summer when the boys are fencing in the heat! (We live on a 100 acre farm, and the kids work hard outdoors all summer.) Clothes should last longer this way, and that is a great help when you are clothing 10 people! The silver cycle is also a blessing because it kills dust mites. One of my sons is quite allergic to dust mites, and even with a cold water wash using the silver cycle, his allergies are completely relieved for 8 or 9 days before I have to wash his bedding again. The huge capacity is a help again here, as I can wash his sheets, mattress pad, and quilt (all twin size) in one load. My queen size comforter COMPLETELY filled the washer, and yet it got quite clean. I couldn't believe it -- I thought it wouldn't get much of a wash, but it did. No more trips into town to do thick comforters, etc. With high gas prices and expensive -to -use laundramat washers, this will save me a tremendous amount of money, not to mention time. So far I have had no problems with odors/mold. I do completely dry out the rubber gasket every day when we finish the laundry, including the folded back part of the gasket -- I'm very thorough. And I leave the door standing wide open. I'll try to update in a year or so (if I remember) and see how it is then. My hope is that this washer will last as long as my old Maytag did -- I had it 20 years without a single service call. I had 4 children when I bought it, and four more during those 20 years. Using cloth diapers and living on a farm, I averaged 6 loads a day during those 20 years, so I figure I put at least 40 or 50 years of use on it, and it never had a single problem. I suppose this one won't, but if it does that for 10 years, I'll be happy! And the washer is such a pleasure to use. I really enjoy doing the laundry, and believe me, I have lots of other things to do with my time!"

"I bought this washer and dryer last year and loved it. The clothes and laundry room smelled great. Now almost a year later, both the washer and laundry room smell like mold/stagnant water. I always leave the washer door open for it to dry out, but it still smells. The sales person mentioned hearing the same complaints from others when we asked him about it. If we can cure this problem, I'd give it a five star rating. I love the dryer and it give it a 5 star rating."

Excellent Top Loader

What's great about it: Quiet, virtually vibration free, solidly built with useful features What's not so great: Spendy when compared to a top-loader, but worth it.
"We bought our first front-loader two years ago. We were never happy with it. It did not get clothes clean. It always shook and vibrated and it was noisey. Realizing that front load technology is always improving, we went in and bought a Duet Sport. It was almost as bad as the Frididaire it was replacing. It shook a little less, but it was clearly NOT enough of an improvement to warrant spending $700 on it. I went back to Best Buy and they recommended (again) the Samsung machine. I had elected to not purchase it the first time (when I bought the Duet Sport), both because of the cost as well as Samsung (to me) was an unknown brand without a lot of history to check up on. So, I opted to pay more and get what seemed to be a better machine. They delivered it the next day. I have NOT been disappointed at all. The machine is quiet. Once the VRT kicks in, the vibration is almost inperceptible (face it, ANY machine turning at 1100RPM is going to have a little vibration). I literally placed a glass of water on top of this machine (while the machine was on top of its pedestal no less) and the water barely rippled. When the washer goes into spin, it does so slowly at first. The machine at that point will rock noticeably as the VRT adjusts itself. Once the VRT has done its thing, the machine comes up to speed and is so quiet and steady that I am continuously amazed. The clothes come out CLEAN and very well wrung out, decreasing the amount of drying time needed. I am sold. I would recommend this machine to anyone. It is better than any other domestic front loader that I have seen in operation."

""Last month we purchased this washer and matching gas dryer from Best Buy. It cleans the clothes very well. It is very quiet and it does not vibrate. I only use about 3 TBL of HE detergent. I was told that if you used more than this amount, the soap will build up around the rubber door ring and begin to mold. The clothes come out clean and I am excited that it will take me months to go through a large box of detergent! Saves me $$. The only complaint I have is that there are small water drops/puddles left in the detergent/bleach dispenser after each use and there is a small puddle of water left inside the washer between the rubber door rings. At the end of each washing day I wipe it out. Overall excellent. I can smell and see a difference in my clothing. The Silver Care Tech is good too - dish towels, bath towels and rags smell and look fresh.
The gas dryer is fantastic. It dries our clothes so quick! I love that it automatically shuts off when the clothes are done and doesn't keep running and wasting $$.
Both machines have a cute little tune that plays when the entire cycle is over. My kids love it!""

"I bought my washer about a year ago. I will never go back to a top loader. This washer is quiet, energy saving, and gets clothes so clean! The SilverCare feature is great for my teenage son's clothes to help get and keep the odor out. This washer's small exterior size help it to fit into my closet laundry room, while the interior is still large enough to wash a queen size comforter."

"My Samsung 12 cycle Washer has surpassed my expectations.Its simple easy selection of cycles is almost automatic and its fast.Matter of fact its more powerful than any washer I've had in wash, rinse ,or spin cycle . Most important my wash always come out perfectly clean any cycle ! I bought it when my washer a major well known other companies machine failed after 4 years . It beats the pants off the other companies. Buy It ,You'll be glad you did."
