What's not so great: everything
"1. Germans always yell the same stupid things in campaign mode
2. Multiplayer is horrible
3. vehicles are bad
4. weapons are average
5. Campaign cutscenes are too long"

What's great about it: driving vehicles, team games, online, really fun with friends, sprint
What's not so great: not as many weapons as Call of Duty 2
"ALthough this is an amazing game, i actually prefer playin COD 2, but its a tight game. The vehicles are fun to drive, but some are hard to drive. This is a classic game, you have to buy it."

What's great about it: Great Game, Graphics, Gun Fights
What's not so great: none
"This game has some of the best graphics for the Xbox 360. I love the Call of Duty series and this one is just another to the great hits. Like I said the graphics are very good and the controls are very easy, just like the other games. The game's storyline is easy to follow but very interesting to learn, I recommend playing the game on veteran. There is a complete arsenal of weapons to choose from, which include the German gun's after you kill them!"

What's great about it: Singel player
What's not so great: Familiar
"One would expect something to greatly surpass the Game of the year Call of Duty 2, this was not the case. Call Of DUty 3 is more of an expansion of COD 2 in that everything is pretty much the same with the acception of single player cause missions are different. Online play is exactly the same and frankly lack luster. this game is not bad at all if you dont have live and want a nice single player game to work on. but if your a live gamer or want the full COD experience pass this one up get Modern Warfar"

What's great about it: Graphics, Gameplay
What's not so great: they try to get to "interactive" with the player
"It's a good game, except for a few things:
1. hand to hand combat seens where you can't shoot a guy your basically fist fighting
2. In the storyline, everyone that was ever of any importance gets killed in the last mission, except as an American, when your sergeant dies in the middle, and then your new sergeant dies at the end
3. if you need to plant a charge on it or use field artillary, you need to actually rotate the joysticks in half circles, full circles, back and forth, all sorts of directions
All in all, it's a good game. i only got it because i wanted to be able to say i've played every game in the CoD series. it came free when i got Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. still tho, CoD4 and Gears of War will always be better. but i'm definatly going to buy Call of Duty: World at War when it comes out later this year."

What's great about it: Game, Graphics
What's not so great: Just not the same, multiplayer
"Call of Duty 3 is fun and has really good graphics; it’s just not the same though. Call of duty 1,2, and 4 were made by Infinity Ward and a different studio made 3 so it was made differently. It has a lot of nice game play enhancements that make things more fluid then the previous 2 games as well. The graphics are much better then the previous games. Your AI does get in the way a little bit unfortunately though. You can now throw grenades back at the enemy. This is a typical WWII style game though. The online death matches have some good points like being able to be a medic and heal your allies. Also, more fluid game play online. It does take awhile to get a match though so it makes it almost not worth playing online."

What's not so great: Allies can get in the way sometimes
"This is a great game, good graphics, plenty of intense gameplay. Multiplayer is fun on XBOX live. Everyonce in a while an allie can get in the way, which is very annoying. If you like the old WW style games, this is a great one to have."

What's great about it: good gamplay with good graphics
What's not so great: waiting time for xbox live
"when i bought this game i thought it would be alright . but it was better than i expected. the gameplay is intense making it feel like ur in a real battle and the online is good too. but the thing about the online is it takes a long time to find a game. i can be waiting for 10 min. trying to find a game. i hope they change that in call of duty 4. but it is a good game besides the wait time. i would reconmend it"

"The career mode is great this game will probably be better than CoD4. I've beenplaying this game since it came out and it never gets old. It beats Halo and Tom clancy by a long shot. This is the best war game out right now. If CoD4 comes out and kills this game, that game will be on the top of my list!"

What's not so great: the same WWII shooter made time and time again
"I've played Call of Duty 2 and I loved it. So I picked up Call of Duty 3 in hopes of the same thing, but unfortunately that's what I got. I played the game for 30 minutes and realized that it was the same thing I've played before. Frankly I'm getting tired of the World War 2 shooter genre, and this game doesnt offer anything to help this. Basically its more of the same, you're a soldier and you fight Hitlers soldiers, that's it. If you've played Call of Duty 2, dont buy this game. If you havent played Call of Duty 2, go out and buy Call of Duty 2 instead of this. C.O.D 2 is much better and offers more replay value. Bottom line, Call of Duty 3 is a recycled game, its the same thing that I've been playing for years, and I'm sick of it."

What's great about it: Fun, engrossing game play, interesting characters and story, good on-line
What's not so great: falls short of COD 2, graphics good have been better.
"This game doesn't quite rate 4 stars but I had to give it 4 because it's too good to rate a 3 (Best Buy can you please give the ability to rate half stars). 3 and a half stars easily, the game is very fun to play. I usually hate the cut-scenes between levels on most games but really enjoy the ones in COD3. If you already have COD2 and love shooters this one is worth buying (but if you are going to purchase one or the other go with version 2). After buying COD2 and playing it through several times I craved more and though I chose version 2 over version 3 based on reviews I decided the price was right and got COD3. I don't regret it, it's a good game and much fun but I am glad Activision is going with the original COD developers for COD4 which comes out next month. Not a must have, but certainly not a waste of money. If your considering it, buy it."

"I bought this game and notice the single player verson was a let down after Call of Duty 2. However once you get online you will notice all the upgrades. Better lobby! More games! Better maps! And most of all more people per map! You can have up to 24 people playing at the same time."
