What's great about it: Dried clothes well when it worked
What's not so great: Broken 2 Times in 4 years
Much like some reviews in this space, this dryer begins to take a long time to dry clothes, and then stops working altogether. The first repair job could be related to the seals in the dryer drum after 2 years, in early repairs. However, today, the dryer won't heat or spin. The dryer can be turned on, but just makes a buzzing sound. The dryer just turned 4 years old, and you shouldn't buy this dryer. The extended warranty won't help at Best Buy because the period is 4 years. In addition, the LG customer service wasn't very helpful in the first repair job, and today, LG won't assist at all. I am NOT impressed and CANNOT recommend LG as a brand.

What's great about it: easy to use controlls, dries fast, very low noise
What's not so great: to soon to say...
this is a good dryer. i have only had it a month but am very pleased with the quick dry time and low noise that it puts out. it also offers several settings for time and temp overall i am happy with the purchase

What's great about it: works well when it works
What's not so great: felt drum seals don't last
We bought this dryer in combination with a washer 3 years ago. During the one year warranty period, LG paid to replace the rear felt drum seal twice. Just after the end of the warranty period, the same seal failed again, and again LG paid to replace. Now, about a year and a half later, the front felt drum seal is partly out. Since the warranty has expired, LG won't fix. The repair company initially ordered the felt seal only ($145 including labor, but not including the initial $58 to diagnose the problem), but then called this morning and said that LG support says the drum needs to be replaced. I'm not paying for a drum replacement when there's no guarantee that it won't just break again. Our last dryer (a Maytag) ran without problem for 15 years and was still working when we switched it out for the LG dryer. We paid $700 for this dryer and it certainly should last longer than 3 years. I'm NEVER buying an LG appliance again.

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: everything
We bought the dryer and the washer at the same time maybe three years ago. The washer never really dried all that great and in the past few months have only gotten worse. It can take up to two hours to dry a small load of jeans. There is a small space inside the drum where the seem comes together from manufacturing that some how keeps expanding and now every time we dry cloths in it, we can only hope that nothing gets caught in there. We have already ruined some of my wifes clothes that do get caught in there and are spun so tight that there is no getting them back into shape. For the money that we paid for it, you would figure that it would last a little longer. No help from LG customer service either. Not a good company. I will not have another LG product in my home.

What's great about it: Quite, easy to use, nice design, dries fast
What's not so great: Sensor dry sometimes overdries the clothes
This is my first gas dryer and I must say I like gas better than electric. The clothes dry faster, less static buildup, better on the clothes and it uses less energy. Also for what every reason my clothes smell fresher.
The sensor dry is a nice feature, but sometimes causes the dryer to run up to 10 minutes longer than needed. I can not imagine why anyone would need to use the "very dry' setting when the "normal dry" leaves the clothes very dry.
Overall a very good dryer, would highly recommend.
The Best Buy delivery guys were also great. They hooked everything up and even provided the metal vent with standard delivery. The gas valve I had didn't fit the dryer and the delivery guy connected an extra adapter he had left over from another job so it would fit. Thank You!

What's great about it: Clothes come out dry not HOT
What's not so great: Nothing
Just got this dyer and the washer and I LOVE IT! Dryer takes very little time to dry a full load because the drum is HUGE. I can dry about twelve towels in 20 minutes.

I've had it for a little over a month and it works great. Dries the clothes in a timely manner and all clothes come out dry. It's easy to work, I LOVE it.

I purchased this along with the washer and am so happy with both. It's on the quiet side for a dryer. The buttons are easy to use. Seems well made. The lint filter is easy to clean. I bought pedestals for both wash and dryer and would recommend it. Plenty of room in it for a full load from the washer. Has many features for being the bottom model.

What's great about it: Senses when clothes are dry!
Great dryer. Among the more affordable of the front loaders. I have the matching washer, and they are a great set. The dryer senses when clothes are dry so as to not overheat and shrink.
Definitely recommend!

What's great about it: Cubic feet and interior light
What's not so great: dryer sheets gets stuck in dryer; takes too long to dry
Purchased the set in May 2007. It takes more than 50 minutes to dry a load of twin and full size sheets. Previous dryer was a Whirlpool which took only 30 minutes to dry the same load.

What's great about it: Looks good, nice dryer when it was working
What's not so great: 3 years and already broken seems ridiculous to me
We are a family of two so I would expect the dryer to last much MUCH longer without having problems. The dryer stopped heating this week. The manual says to check the circuit breaker, but that's not the problem. Reading other reviews of this dryer I've found people have similar problems with it...gas valve or flame sensor going out after 1.5 years. The warranty is only valid for 1 year. I would recommend a dryer with a better warranty or at least you should buy the extended warranty so you don't have to pay for the service call I'm going to have to make.
