What's great about it: Fit my existing opening and looks good.
What's not so great: watermark dots
I ordered the white version of this cooktop and unfortunately, it's not perfectly white. It has watermark dots throughout which gives it a slight off-white appearance. I like the "no knob" design, but it takes a little getting used to. I thought you'd just place your finger on the spot you wanted to set a temperature, but insted you hold down a + or - button and it changes the temperature. Not as fast or intuitive as I expected, but works overall. It heats up very fast and gets hotter than the cooktop it replaced so I'm adjusting to the new burner settings (turned lower now). Overall, it's attractive and works well but for the price, I can't give it a 5-star rating. I chose this mainly because it replaced another Kitchen Aid smoothtop and needed to just drop it into an existing cutout without having to modify the opening. IMPORTANT! If you're trying to replace a cooktop, you'd better buy the same brand of cooktop you're replacing or you'll have to modify the opening. I learned that the hard way.
I would recommend this to a friend!
