Love my little workhorse printer

What's great about it: great clarity. Inexpensive, but great quality and quantity out of it. The most bang for the buck!
What's not so great: High def color projects on glossy paper not so good!
"This is a great little printer for cranking out marketing material for my work. It just keeps going. I do large quantities of drop cards that have to look hand written, and this little printer cranks them out. I Love It! I will use this printer until it's spent and then get another. It is the most economical deal out there for what I do."

Excellent little basic printer

What's great about it: Compact, clear printing, inexpensive
What's not so great: Ink smudges if touched too soon, but that's an inkjet for you!
"I've owned several different printers over the years. I purchased this one because I needed a quick, inexpensive printer for document printing. This compact little printer, not only saves on space but money too. It prints documents just as nice as my HP or Epson did. Although I don't reccomend it for photo printing. It does ok, but not scrapbook quality.
All in all, this is a great little printer for the money."

What's great about it: Cost, easy to use, useful maintenance program
What's not so great: No front paper tray, somewhat slower than most printers
"Purchased the printer due to the cost, didn't need all the extra options as most printers now adays have. Was happy to see the excellent print quality, however it does printer abit slower than I wanted it to be.
All and all a very good printer for the price, consider it for a non-high output printer option, or where a scanning printer is not needed."

Best Printer Ever

What's great about it: oustanding color, easy to use
What's not so great: none
"I have used Canon printers more often than any other brand in the past 15 years. I always come back to Canon. This printer prints beautiful pictures on any brand of photo paper. The ink lasts much longer than when first showing low. The ink is easy to change and the maintenance tabs and instructions are easy to use. This is the best printer ever."

"I have enjoyed this printer ever since buying it over Christmas. It has great resolution, and is quick and reliable. It is a great value for the price. My only complaint are that there is no place to catch the paper."

Great printer

What's great about it: Photos, Ink, SIZE, quality
What's not so great: No tray for paper
"Based on the stock cartridge, which isn't the full size one, I have printed about 10 photos and am I now also into my 2nd pack of 500 sheets of paper, and neither cartridge is dead. Prints photos in about 45 seconds on high quality. I recommend either cannon, epson, or HP advanced photo paper.
My only problem with this thing is the lack of a tray for printed material to sit. Mine is located on a crate in the dorm room and I have to catch paper as it comes out or it falls to the floor.
Photo quality is comparable to the HP photosmart printers with the 5 cartridge system, however those printers manage to print photos at lower ink costs. BUT for $50 I would take this one unless I was really into printing a lot of photos."

"This printer produces excellent picture quality for the buck and prints at a decent speed. Just wish it had the direct docking feature, but still you can't beat the price."

"I just got this with a Dell package and so far am very happy with it, loading cartridges is very easy once you look at the instructions lol they just pop in place very easily.
its very sleek in design and color and seems to print very nice, and I am looking forward to printing pictures."

"We had a black stripe problem once, but print a LOT, and may have just worn it out. Also, two black ink carts, but you can't print if even one of them run out.
Otherwise, a great all-round printer."

What's great about it: Fast, only needs two cartridges, easy to use
What's not so great: does not have fax capability, photo ink drys slowly
"I received this photo printer as part of a package deal when I purchased an eMachine. Thought it would be great as a backup printer. However, I am using it as my primary printer and my All-in-One is being used as my backup printer. The Canon prints faster than my All-in-One printer and the color is great. It is easy to use and I would readily recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a photo printer."

"I received this printer when i purchased a Gateway computer. I didn't think this printer would work so well i thought it was some cheap printer that came with the computer. It acctually works very well. The scanner works well and printer pictures looks good too. Would recommend this product to anyone."

"Excellent cheap printer. Print quality/speed is very good, is aesthetically pleasing. However, the lack of an output feed tray is annoying, as is the life of the print cartridges. They seem to empty quite quickly bearing in mind I don't print too often, maybe a couple of times a week."

"I got this printer with my printer. I love the fact that it copies,prints and scans all in one. Its very easy to use but the only thing i don't like is it takes a while to start a print job. It goes very slow but I cant complain since it was free."

"I've printed on several different types of media with this printer without a flaw. Envelopes, regular paper, 8 1/2 x 11 glossy photo paper, and the promised borderless 4 x 6s, all without a single. One thing to remember is that the orientation of some media is important.
Pros
1. Inexpensive.
2. Cartridges compatible with quite a few other Canon's including an all-in-one MP460 that I got for my wife.
3. Software is much more streamline than HP's in my opinion. Installation was smooth and troublefree.
Cons
1. No output feed tray. On this printer, your desk is the output feed tray. Or, in my case, my hand since I have it on a small shelf."

"For the most part the cannon ip1800 printer is a good product. It's faster printing was a feature that I was impressed with. The drawbacks are the fact that the default print format is extremely small and must be changed continually and it is some what on the loud side when moving prior to and during printing."
