What's great about it: Light weight, easy operation
What's not so great: Flawed picture
"Darker scenes are so dark, there is too much loss of detail. I tested with the first Harry Potter movie which begins with a night scene. No adjustments seemed to help.
Also, in darker scenes there is a gray, ghostly band about an inch high on the top of the screen.
I returned this TV to Best Buy after only a couple days."

What's great about it: HD picture
What's not so great: none yet
"This TV is for our kitchen and we all are happy with it - especially the teen! We do not have cable or satellite, only an antenna as we are in a rural area. After the teen set up the TV and ran the scan, we were amazed at the picture quality and the crisp HD pictures. Cool design also."

Great Kitchen TV

What's great about it: Looks great, sound is decent and price was nice.
What's not so great: Turns on very slow and setup is very slow
"I purchased this tv to go into my kitchen. It blends in perfectly and looks great. We do not have an HDTV box hooked into the tv so the picture is not the best quality but that is what I expected. When i plugged it into my HD box in my living room, the picture was amazing. So here is what I can tell you:
if you want a great tv that is a good brand name then this tv is your best bet. It was either this one or the Sharp and this one just seemed to be a better overall picture and value. I hope this helps you."

Broke After 2 Months

What's great about it: Stylish
What's not so great: Unit Broke after only 2 months...
"I loved the TV in the store...it's really stylish and goes great in my Kitchen. The picture is dark and not as clear as I was hoping, BUT I don't have it hooked up to an HD cable box so I don't feel I can judge picture. Please keep this in mind when reading other reviews of the picture quality. Unless the user has it hooked to a HD cable box, the picture is not going to be as clear as you expect. However, the video on my TV screen turned to nothing but a white glow after only 2 months (unit hanging on the wall the whole time... no fault of mine). Returned TV to Best Buy under manufactures 1 year warranty. Instead of providing new unit Samsung chose to fix it and I have been waiting 5 weeks and 2 days and still don't have my TV back..."

What's great about it: Beautiful, sleek appearance
What's not so great: HORRIBLE picture quality
"I guess I was too focused on the beautiful, sleek, white minitor that I didn't pay as close attention to the picture quality at the Best Buy store. Once I got it home I could never get the picture bright enough. The picture looks dark; on some shows and movies it looks like people are in dark rooms with dark shadows. I was so frustrated. I tried everything to brighten the picture, but even with the brightness turned up to 100%, the picture is still dark! It's crazy. I do NOT recommend this TV."

What's great about it: looks good, reception good, controls on tv excellent
What's not so great: will not connect to sony products
"overall good tv for the bucks, looked at for the price, quality and size. met all of the criteria for purchase. feature that is essential is PC compatability. evidently sony and samsung do not get along. this tv will not sync with a sony product. sony and samsung will not compromise."

What's great about it: Nice slim design, easy to operate, white cabinet
What's not so great: Very poor picture, difficult to adjust
"Bought this set yesterday and I am returning it tomorrow. The picture is very difficult to adjust. Very dark background and screen, also a lot of halo's in picture. Sound is adequate for a 19" TV. Looks great in the kitchen. Connection was with satellite provider."

What's great about it: Sleek and stylish, easy to hook up to auxillary items
What's not so great: The darkening on the screen at certain times and angles
"I purchased this TV because it was the best deal for the money. It is very attractive, but I am disappointed about the screen darkening. I didn't read these reviews before I bought it! This is my first HDTV and believed it may come with the territory. This problem may be improved by mounting at an angle. Mine is placed stationary on top of a high dresser. It comes with a mount kit and I will try that next to see if it alleviates the problem."

"I read several reviews for this tv prior to purchasing it and though many people complained about the dark picture, I went ahead and bought it anyway. They were right. I find that some movies and programs come in very dark even after I adjust the color. Despite this, however, it's a beauty and goes perfect with my room decor. Though I considered returning it, the sound quality and looks outweigh the con. If you're not a tech junky then this is a great buy."
