What's great about it: Price, quality

"The picture of on this TV is outstanding, sure you could spend more on a TV to get a higher contrast ratio, however you will simply be paying more for something you will not even be able to notice. Samsung makes the best LCD's and this TV is perfect and will last a long time. The only issue you may have with Samsung TV's is the compatability with the Verizon HD boxes when the TV is set to "Just Scan" mode and the Verizon HD box is set to 1080i, this however is a verizon signal issue, not a samsung tv issue."

What's great about it: Swivel screen, Viewing angle
What's not so great: NONE!
"This TV has the most sharpest picture I hae seen. We have never once had to go into the menu and adjust the color or setting from show to show. That was the case on the Westinghouse LCD I had purchased first and returned. I have never seen a glare, from either the sun, nor from a lamp behind us.
Beautiful....you don't need to spend any more money on a higher priced model, I don't think it can get any better than this!!"

great TV! I have owned a 42" 1080i Toshiba Plasma for our old living room, it
now has a new place in our bedroom. We decided to go with the 46" Samsung 1080p LCD for
user friendly and no ghosting interface. This TV looks amazing on next
gen Xbox360 also since the TV accepts 1080p through component (most
TV's don't do this and yes component is capable of putting out TRUE
1080p) the picture is so real. The HD channels such as DiscoveryHD look
stunning. The LCD displays true blacks none of that grey stuff like on
the cheaper models. Before we moved we had it hooked up through a
regular cable outlet in our bedroom since the 42" plasma was all
mounted, the 46" Samsung picked up all the HDTV channels broadcast over
a simple coax outlet with no cable box, even though it wasn't true HD
it still looked a lot better than the fuzzy cable channels. Great TV
and Samsung always puts out a great product.
So many inputs and outputs to fit all my electronic gadgets, even
supports a home media center PC no problem.
Trust me I was skeptical about going from Plasma to LCD but I would recommend this LCD to the Plasma Enthusiast...

What's great about it: Great bright picture with plenty of features
What's not so great: Dark scenes not so good. Picture in picture is a joke
"I'm happy with this TV even though the blacks are not as good as some of the higher end models. I thought once I took it home (so that I couldn't see the higher end models next to it) I wouldn't notice, but I still notice on dark movies. (i.e, The Parallax view)
That being said, on bright normal scenes this tv is awesome. super bright and colorful.
The PC input is great for viewing movies and YouTube on your big screen.
I have my DVD player hooked up through the component input and the image looks amazing.
Not to happy with the picture in picture function. Ideally I would like to watch 1 channel and use the PIP to see what else is on. But I guess if you have a cable box with 2 tuners then it will perform the function for you.
If you have a higher budget go for the LCDs or Plasmas with better black performance. If not, this tv is pretty good."

"My husband and I were sort of reluctant to spend this kind of money on a TV, but after a week of visiting it in the store, researching it's performance in Consumer Reports and comparing this model to others, we took the plunge. It has been over fours months now and periodically, we ask each other if it was worth it, we both smile and say "Definitely"!
Mounting the TV on the wall, (you have to buy a mounting bracket separately) was very easy also."

What's great about it: QAM Tuner, Swivel Base, Matte Screen
What's not so great: No audio or picture swap on the PIP (Really nit-picking to come up with that......most TV's don't even have PIP)
"What a great decision to buy this TV. Have have had it for about 3 weeks now and love it. Not many of the TV's this size have all the features we wanted. The swivel base is great for us because we have it on a TV stand and turn it constantly depending who is watching and when. Also makes it easy to get behind the unit and access the cables etc. behind the TV. The built-in QAM tuner works like a charm. Hooked up our existing cable (without a set-top box as we only had basic cable service) and got HD channels immediately after an auto channel scan. We were thinking an HD box was a must and it isn't. The PIP (Picture in Picture) function is something I was surprised to find alot of companies are doing away with. You need a second source but this function if pretty flexible on this unit. Only beef I have is there is no way to swap the audio on the PIP. We choose the 4661 over the 4665 because of the Matte finish on the screen. Supposedly the picture quality is not quit as good on the 4661 but we think it is very good! The matte finish is the better way to go in a sunny room. I've heard knocks on the speakers on this unit but thought they were fine although we do listen to the audio thru a home theater system a good bit. Only beef is while watching sports there is a bit of the "ghosting" you read about...but you are really looking hard if you notice it. This unit was the best of the LCDs we saw in the stores for this. It certainly is not a big issue.......if it is for you.......spend the extra grand or more and get a newer style 120Hz LCD.
Not a single regret on this purchase."

"We love our new LCD HD TV from Samsung. It's our first Samsung and not a regretful purchase at all. We love to watch our movies on family night, they really come to life. It has really easy access to plug in the Play Station, X-Box, and all those games when the boys have sleep overs and want to play their games on the "Big TV". Easy access for a USB port on the side as well.
We recommend this to anyone looking for a great buy at a great price."

"After returning a Sharp LC46D62U (banding) and a LG 47LB5D (clouding/dead pixels) I picked up a Samsung LN-T4661F...and I couldn't be happier. This TV has every feature I could ask for and features a stunning picture. I recommend checking AVS forums for proper picture settings for this set. When using "game mode" lag is unnoticeable on Xbox360. Overall, an incredible TV that delivers on every level."

"I chose this TV because of the features and particularly the matte finish screen. We have had the TV for about a week now and the picture is excellent with HD programming. The picture can get pixellated on standard programming but it is tolerable. The sound is o.k. but nothing special. Connectivity with the set is great with all the available options. On occassion, when I turn the set on, the TV can't pickup the signal from our cable box and will freeze. If I turn the TV off and then back on it seems to take care of the problem. It usually happens if the TV is turned on first and then the cable box. It seems to work better the other way around. The connection is through HDMI. The remote is simple and TV menus are easy to use. Picture is amazing with the XBox360. Highly recommended."

"By far one of the best large purchases I have made. The HD picture quality is amazing. I currently also match this buy up with an LG HD Upconverter DVD recorder/player. It does well for my current collection of DVDs, and also helps clean up the non-HD programs from Insight. The design is very stylish. The speakers are hidden beneath a silver lip that makes it a little more classier. A must buy for any football lover, or any sports for that fact. Go Bucks!"

"Don't buy this TV unless you plan on getting High-Definition cable or satellite!
I got this TV with a free 19" a few weeks ago and I still find myself saying, "What an amazing picture!" I have to admit though, I do not want to watch regular channels or non-HD programs anymore. NFL games in Hi-Def are better than being at the game if you ask me! And I have been to at least 30 NFL games and yes I have sat as close as the 3 rows up on the 35 yard line.
If there are any down-sides to the TV it's the fact that I know longer want to watch non-HD channels and very fast action scenes do sometimes become blocky (digital effect), but that may just be my satellite provider I am not 100% sure and it's barely bothersome enough to mention."

"This is a great HDTV. The picture is beautiful. I chose this model over the newer Samsung, due to this one having the matte(less glare) screen. My living room is bright, so I wanted to make sure the glare wouldn't be an issue. It's not. The TV is easy to setup and use.The problems w/ the TV's black colors, hasn't been an issue. They appear just fine to me."

"Fantastic picture with fast refresh rate and excellent contrast ration. Capable of 1080p resolution, which we haven't experienced yet as we do not have an HD or Blue Ray player. However, if you connect this set to a DVD player capable of upconversion to 1080p......wow!
Football games in HD are absoutely incredible!! What better reason to get a big screen.
The wife just absolutely loves to watch movies on this set. See just keep slooking for good DVDs to watch.
Best surprise was when the cable company insisted we could not watch HD programming without their box........wrong!!!! This set comes with a QAM tuner that picks up all of the unscrambled HD and digital channels. So when they showed up with a box, I refused it. Worth every penny of our purchase.
One special note, PIP will not work with an analog source. I don't know why and Samsung hasn't given me an answer yet."

"I've had this TV for about 3 months now and I love it. I chose it over the 65F series Samsung because of price and the anti-glare screen as opposed to the gloss screen on the 65F. I also chose it over the Sharps because I thought it had just as good a picture and it has side inputs (including one HDMI). Three HDMI inputs was also rare in this price range. The built in HDTV tuner works great and has a built in amplifier to boost signal strength.
My only two complaints are that the remote is pretty basic with limited features and you have to cycle through the inputs instead of being able to select them directly.
Other than that, its a great TV at a good price.
Highly recommended."

"After over a month of research I narrowed my decision down to 3 LCD TVs: Sony KDL-46V3000, Samsung LNT-4665F, and the Samsung LNT-4661F. I wanted 1080P, a high contrast ratio and value which is why I chose the Samsung LNT-4661F. The Sony was just released in August so the price point is a bit higher and the other Samsung (LNT-4665F) has a Plasma like screen (shiny) which reflects light and I have a very bright room. Overall this is a great TV."
