"We have had this TV for a little while now and I think it was a great choice. The picture clarity is excellent and the sound is good too. I cant tell the difference in this 720p and a 1080p that a friend has (I guess side by side you can), but for the price no thanks."

"Samsung 50” Plasma HP-T5054, what can I say about this TV other than it is worth every dollar you spend.
I did a lot of Review, Price Hunt, Store visits as anyone before I would by HDTV.
Finally Samsung 50” Plasma HP-T5054 TV got my attention, one thing I found about this TV it seemed to pop out every time you look at the set of TV’s on display.
It amazed me that the picture looks more sharp, bright and high resolution when compared even other 1080i resolution TV’s.
Even if you were a person who do not care about money or one who runs behind to get more resolution 1080i or more, I you will definitely get stopped by this TV to have a look at this..
Price.. I have searched it across all websites and stores.. Best Buy is the best bet to buy your any HDTV especially Samsung 50” Plasma HP-T5054. Online websites offer it for cheap but with shipping charges it come to the same price.
Stop your search and got to Best Buy and get Samsung 50” Plasma HP-T5054"

"With everyone jumping on the 1080p bandwagon, it make's a great time to get a good deal on the 720 plasma's. The picture on this is incredible using blu-ray, I had spent numerous hour's researching these on line, and could not justify spending the extra money on a 1080p. I can say now after two weeks, I'm glad I did not spend the extra money, and I'm glad I purchased the Samsung. The only other tv that I beleived could be better would be a pioneer but look at the price between the two. Buying this tv you will not be disppointed."

"This Samsung plasma Tv has terrible sound. It seems that Samsung has put cheap speakers in their recent tv's, even their DLP tv sounds terrible. The picture and features are good but to enjoy watching anything on it you will need a sound system hooked up to it. For the price their is better quality out there."

"We were looking at plasma and lcd sets for about a month. It took a little while to find the right one after looking at so many sets. The picture looked incredible at the store and when I got it home it looked just as good. I have it hooked up to blue ray and dish network h-d and both looked like I was right there in the action. A scene on the blue ray with sunlight made me squint my eyes because it was so bright and the Bears game on hi def made me feel like I was right there on the field. I will never go to another game again. Other reviews talking about the lack of great sound would be correct. It does have good sound but any t v of this size and quality is meant to have a quality surround sound hooked up to it. I would HIGHLY recommend this set to anyone looking for a great plasma television. You will not be disappointed"

Worst Sound Ever in a TV!

"This TV has unwatchable HORRIBLE SPEAKERS! I thought the Samsung Plasma HPS 5053 had bad speakers, but these sound like $0.05 speakers. They are unbelievably bad when you need to turn up the volume. They have no bass!
The picture is beautiful, and if you have a home theater system then you can forget about the speakers. However, you can't use the head phone jack without turning off the external speakers. My Sony plasma does not do that.
Also, this TV did not work for me or the Samsung repair tech's. It has a known HUGE HDMI problem. It flat out would not play my Toshiba SD5000 DVD player or my Samsung BDP1200 Blue-Ray on HDMI. They both played perfectly on my Toshiba HD, Sony Plasma and finally my new MAGNIFICANT Hitachi HD Plasma TV.
Buy a Hitachi TV, it is Consumer Reports most reliable TV with over 50-years in the TV business. AWESOME new HD Plasma which makes the 720p look like a poor choice. Check it out in the Best Buy Magnolia sound and site room it is a fabulous TV over this dog."

"I love my Samsung Plasma TV. The cost was actually less than I planned to spend. It's design is very modern and it looks georgous on my wall. My friends immediately inquire about it when they enter the room. The picture quality is great, but on the HD channels and when playing a DVD, it is outstanding. Cable TV needs to catch up to the television technology. All stations need to be available in HD."

"I bought this model after purchasing a lesser quality lcd 47inch that went out on me four days. After getting this into my house I was floored. It looks amazing and the contrast blows away several of the lcds I had looked at. Easy to set up, my X-box 360 and movies look very good. If you have the room, get it."

"The picture is awesome, even better with a HD source. I'm fine with 720p because my cable box does not even support 1080p yet. I think this is a very good plasma for the price. The only thing that lets this plasma down is the sound. If you want better sound go with the Panasonic or invest in a home theatre system to go with it."

"I spent countless hours searching for the right TV. I went to several stores and looked at every brand out there. The picture on this Samsung was awesome in the store. When I got it home, the picture was not as good on regular TV broadcast. I started checking all the settings and turned off the edge enhancement. Since then the picture is Incredible. I would highly recommend this TV."

"I spent probably 8 hours in Bestbuy and countless hours on the internet looking for the best TV for the money. I purchased a Westinghouse 47" LCD which I thought for the money was the best deal. I kept it 30 days and was never happy with picture and/or details on regular non HD and especially with HD. Every TV and or monitor in my home is a Samsung. I returned the Westinghouse and purchased the Samsung 50" Plasma. Night and Day difference. The Westinghouse claimed to be a 5000:1 Contrast ratio, in reality it was only a 1000:1. The Samsung is a 15,000:1- Incredible color and picture I am extremely Happy with the Samsung. I should have bought it the 1st time around. This TV is worth every penny."

"I have purchase this beautifull tv a couple of weeks ago,I was looking at the Panasonic and this Samsung unit,I think I made the right choice,the quality of the image is just incredible from a 720p,close to 1080p but far from 1000.00 dollars more.
I placed on the wall with mounting wall-brackets.the look is nice to be admired.
Price is fair,compared from a few years back.
I will recomend to purchase this hdtv set to anybody looking to get a plasma."best of all"."
