Capable system depending on needs

What's great about it: Clear sound, great for smaller rooms
What's not so great: none yet
"Bought this as a xmas gift for the parents.
I hooked it up and it was very straightforward, no surprises.
The sound is crisp and clear and didn't notice any audio dropouts or negatives.
The only thing I don't like is the amount of shelf space it takes up. However being a 5 disc changer kind of makes it necessary.
This is a great little system for a smaller room with limited acoustics.
Nice little package for the price."

"I Love my new home theater system. It's easy to switch from tv to dvd to cd or ipod depending on what mood I'm in! I'd definately recommend this system. For the price,, it's worth it!

What's great about it: best price,ipod dockplays all disc types
What's not so great: vv poor surround sound
"I bought this home theatre even after going through mixed reviews.But experienced v poor surround sound even after adjusting all its effects to be the best.It almost worked like 2.1 channel home theatre with useless surround speakers.Remote control doesnt work like your finger control for ipod when it sits in dock.It just skips the songs.Think and consider reviews before you buy."

What's great about it: Easy to setup, easy to use, 5 disc changer, I-Pod dock
What's not so great: Sound quality is good but could be better
"I am satisfied with my home theater system. The system meets my needs. It was easy to set up and is really easy to use. The setup instructions were very clear which I really appreciated. I think the sound quality could be better. However, for the price (watch the on-line sales!), I think I have a pretty decent system. It definitely meets my needs. If you are looking for a system with super high quality sound, you may want to look elsewhere."

What's great about it: Easy setup
What's not so great: Back speakers don't give surround sound feeling
"Setup the system and used the Rocket Fish wireless speaker setup for the back speakers, got no sound from them. Returned Rocket Fish since using wired back speakers I could get some sound. Watching normal TV and about 90% of the shows wouldn't emit sound from rear speakers, even turned then up but no luck. I now have an Onkyo SS system and every show I watch has sound coming from the back speakers."

What's great about it: Great sound. Great features.
What's not so great: Can't think of one.
"I know, I know...it's the "theater in a box", but it comes with an Ipod dock, it is XM Ready, it is ready for a wireless rear speaker, and it even has a FM tuner, which I feel is overlooked lately. The speakers feel heavy, solid, and well made. The remote is setup well. The sub woofer hits hard. Give this system a try. I am sure you will have no regrets. This is the first time I have given a review five stars."

What's great about it: Easy setup, 5-disc feature, Universal I-Pod Dock included
What's not so great: One one HDMI output, one Component output
"I have purchased my fair share of expensive receivers over the years with all the bells and whistles. It is as close to Plug & Play as a unit can get. Although itstill requires some basic menu set up for the volume output it is fairly straightforward. Panasonic positioned this item right square in the middle of the average consumer. From beginner to intermediate you will be pleased with this purchase. Unless you are a diehard audiophile this will more than meet your needs. It packs quite a punch in a small space and is VERY easy to setup. I was watching a DVD in surround sound within 30 mins from opening box to pushing play. A nice touch is the easy I-Pod sync included. We now have access to over 10,000 songs we purchased over the years of CD purchases in one little 30 gig I-Pod. A virtual jukebox with a small footprint. No need for anything else. Not to mention this is XM-Satellite ready and wireless speaker ready."

What's great about it: Ease of use, setup, cost and value
What's not so great: not what I expected
"When I purchased this theater in a box, I thought it would bring that movie theater sound quality to my living room. It only takes a few minutes to set up and run the wires, great set up, however once there the pro's really end. The surround sound is nice but its not the rich deep sound I was hoping for. There are only 2 inputs for other devices and I was hoping to hook up my ps3, wii, 360 and cable box to it in order to get the advantages of surround sound from all devices. That could not happen.
I bought a reciever instead and replaced several speakers with newer ones, it costs more but it allows me to have the quality I want.
If you want something cheap, easy to use and rather nice to listen to. This is perfect, but do not have dreams of being at the theatre with this. I would recomend this to any person trying to experience 5.1 with dvd's and who doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars, like I am now, on individual speakers and recievers."

"Good sounding system for the price. Set up was a breeze and the sound blew me away when playing my CDS. The sub woofer has plenty of punch, plus you can lower the out put between 1 and 4. Four is having the most bass with 1 having low bass. There is also settings for the equalizer. There are more expensive systems out there, but for a person who is on a budget, this system will do plenty for you. It was better sounding than Phillips. Beware stay away from anything LG has in home theater, there features on all of there home theater products are not consumer friendly at all. I bought one of LG's home theater systems, it was a night mare. I took it back and got this Panasonic Home Theater System instead. I'am very pleased indeed with this product."

"This system is a little disappointing. My last home theater system was purchased in the 80's and it totally blows this one away for sound. This maybe ok for a first time buyer wanting to settle. But there has to be better out there and I am returning this sytem tomorrow."
