Great Home Theater Package

What's great about it: Great Sound, Wireless Surround, Small and Sleek Speakers
What's not so great: Lack of Inputs, Depth of Unit, Indivual EQ controls, Remote control is not universal.
"After reading some of the reviews regarding this product, I was really skeptical on the quality of this product. I purchased a Panasonic 50" Plasma 720P (which has not been received yet), and figured the setup would be nice with the same brand all around. This system is amazing. It delivers great sound all around, and the bass is loud and roaring, even on its second (out of four) settings. It is setup in a 12x10 room, and the rear speakers are directly behind where I sit to watch. This is THE perfect setup for a townhome/apartment.
The disappointments are minimal, but they should be discussed. As noted in other reviews, there are only 1 set of analog inputs. I am confused as to why panasonic would do this, but I am guessing it is cheaper to make. Measure the unit before purchasing if you have an entertainment center. We purchased ours from Ashley Furniture, and it is too deep to be put in the cabinet below the TV. The lack of EQ is really disappointing. Granted, the default settings are great, but it would have been nice to have total control over that aspect. The remote is bland at best. It has large numbers, and many buttons for the features of the DVD System itself. The TV buttons only include a power on/off, and volume. There are no channel adjusters on it, so plan accordingly."

"This is a great system. My wife and I are movie buffs and with upcovert dvd to hd tv is great.Bulit in DTS souround is the best. I got this one on sale makes it even better"

"This home theater was easy to hook up and the sound is great. I was able to get rid of all my other equipment as this one replaces everything except my cable box. I am especially fond of the fact that it comes with a hook up for my ipod. I liked this product so much I bought it for my parents!"

What's great about it: Wireless
"Great system for its price. It is definetely not a 5 star but it is worth the money.
The wireless rear speakers are a great feature. No wires crossing the room.
Remember that rear speakers don't work with regular TV, CD or iPod, only if the source has 5.1 sound.
The iPod dock is another great feature. It would be better if we could search the music library on the tv screen, but for the price...

What's great about it: Front speakers have good sound
What's not so great: Zero surround sound
"As noted by others, not really wireless. Rear speakers are inaudible. They have an on-screen volume adjustment but very minimal. Confirms the Best Buy sales guy's observation that no one makes a wireless system that is any good. You still need wires for good sound. This system isn't worth $45 much less $450!"

What's not so great: Breaks consistently for DVD left in
"I've had this product only a few months and it has already caused me to have to reset it 4 times, and is now going back to the shop. It is just not worth the money you put into it. It looks and sounds good but I also look for it to be reliable and not break when I want to play a DVD."

What's great about it: Price
What's not so great: Sound quality, no "B" speaker outputs, no rear channel volume control
"Its okay for a basic system, but if you have a B speaker system, say on your deck, you'll have to buy a seperate speaker switch. Overall sound is okay, but from those little speakers, you can't expect too much. Lastly, there's no volume control for the rear channel, so you're at the mercy of the program audio to balance your room.
Not bad if this is your first system, but you'll likely end up upgrading the speakers soon."

"i like this system alot. i wish i could have my cable tv through the 5.1. i have my wii and my wireless router within a foot of the wireless card on this system and have never had any wireless interference."

What's great about it: Great Sound, Fairly Simple To Setup and Use, Great Upconversion Capabilities, Wireless Surround Speakers cool feature.
What's not so great: Can not open/close disc door with remote control. Cannot control Ipod menu, only can skip tracks on Ipod with remote.
"Overall Great Product! Price is comparable to other brands. Good sound. Wireless Surround Speakers capability is a big plus. Remote Control needs more functions to control disc door and more Ipod controls, to control Ipod menus."

What's not so great: Not enought inputs/ outputs
"System sounds great. However, I was forced to buy a Dynex audio switcher in order to get my audio from all my componets through the surround sound. Has a 5 disc dvd changer which is cool. Up convers all my dvds to hig def as well. HDMI output. Overall I do recommend this Home theater system"

What's great about it: upconvert is killer, surround sound scared me on a couple movies-it's amazing
What's not so great: wireless interefence from sur.sound speakers cause my wifi to stop sorking. so my wii cannot nor can my cell phone.
"I purchased this unit along with a new panasonic plasma 42". the combination of the two is phenomenal. the crisp sounds are exhilerating. the upconvert is crisp. the only real gripe i have about this unit is that it interferes with wifi connections. so i cannot use my wii wifi, my phone's wifi, nor any other device that's been brought into play. i'd suggest setting this up where you wouldn't need these features and you'll be very pleased."

"This is a great system, and very reasonably priced. I love that it is wireless rear surround, so there aren't a bunch of wires running all over. The iPod dock is great for listening to music while I am doing housework, or just relaxing. I highly recommend this to anyone."

"The 1000 watts is adequate for a small home theater, but if you want a REAL theater quality sound, get something larger, or just buy speakers individually with a separate amp.
Home theaters in a box are nice for those on a budget and require minimal setup as well. Just plug it all in and you're ready to go. The DVD changer is a nice feature as well. Happy buying!"

"I like this unit alot,it has great bass and the wireless rear spkrs. are a plus. I have a moderate size living room and wish it had a little more power but it's 1000 watts. Setup was great and looks great. I wish it had a gaming input and universal port for other mp3 players."

"This system was simple to set up and has given me great results so far. It took a little playing around to find a sound setting I liked, but once I had that set, it sounds perfect. I also have a Panasonic tv and the EZ Sync button between the tv and stereo was very helpful. My favorite unexpected feature was that I can control my IPod with the stereo remote when it is in the IPod dock. Really the only problem I've had with it is that there is only one input so I can't play video games with the speakers. Overall, a very good purchase for a reasonable price."

"This product is fantastic. It provides high quality sound along with a very intuitive user functionality. I learned how to use the remote and all the features very quickly. The sound quality it provides is ideal for living rooms, family rooms, and/or bedrooms that are small to midsized. My living room is approximately 20x25 and the sounds emanating from the speakers are awesome. I think it's a great product and a great value. I highly recommend it!"
