"The one thing that I don't like about the Wii that I like about other game systems is that being wireless, you need batteries for it. If you play a lot, that can add up to a lot of money. Well, if you buy this, then you don't have to keep buying batteries. All you have to do is put the WiiMote in the charger when you're done. You do have to find a place to put this, but there's the added benefit of being able to find your WiiMotes when you need them. I haven't had a problem with this yet, it works as it should. The only problem I have with using it is that you need to make sure that the WiiMote strap doesn't get in the way."

What's great about it: Saves you from having to repeatedly buy batteries. What's not so great: Can't charge controller while Wiimote jacket is still on.
"If you are a gamer like me, and you spend at least a few hours a day playing, it can get frustrating, not to mention wallet-draining, to have to always replace the batteries in your controller. But, thanks to this little number, you can save yourself the hassle...and the dollars. The charge station is small and compact, and you can pretty much place it anywhere. Using it is simple. All you need to do is replace the existing batteries in the Wiimote with the rechargeable ones that come with this product. Swap out the back of the controller with the one provided, and simply place the controller into one of the ports on the charge station to charge. Blue Light = Charging, Green Light = Finished, or Done...or however you choose to word it. The battery life after charging is excellent as well. Personally, I charged my controller about 2-and-a-half weeks ago, and I still haven't fully used up the battery, playing for about 2 hours per day. If you have a Wii, this is certainly an accessory you'll want to have."

"This should be the first accessory you buy for your Wii! I HATE having to keep unchargeable batteries around and searching for them mid game. The charge lasts a long time....actually Ive never had them run out! You can keep the batteries that come with the remote for your TV remote haha
The only bad thing is you have to take off the skins for the remotes but its really not that big of a deal

"As usual with cordless game accessories, alternatives to batteries are very important. The Nyko charge station is a very convenient solution. My batteries charge quickly and most of the time stay charged for a long time. unfortunately the wiimote skins block the charge points, so unless you like peeling them off over and over again, i wouldn't mix the two."

"This is a very nice substitute to buying batteries. I got my Wii just a few days ago, and I bought this with it. It is very stylish and charges very fast. If the batteries are fully worn out and you put them to charge, they will charge within 1 hour. The battery life on a full charge is about 5-6 continuous hours. When I go to my friend's house's, they use regular batteries, and sometimes, the battery runs out and they can't find any batteries. They take out the batteries from the TV remote! That's ridiculus. With this charging station, there is no worry about that. The only problem is that the wrist strap gets in the way while charging. You have to put it to the side, and align it properly or it won't charge. Other than that, I don't see anything bad about it."

Great device, with one exception

"This unit seems to be surprisingly well made compared to some of the other third party game accessories I've seen. All components are sturdy, and fit and finish is very good. The rubber ridges on the back of the new battery door are a nice touch, and make gripping the remote easier than with the stock battery covers. The power supply for the charger is self-contained so you don't have yet another brick or adapter taking up multiple taps on your power strip or outlet. Surprisingly enough however, there is one pretty significant design flaw that I'm amazed ever made it to production. No provision was made in the charging pockets for the presence of the Wiimote wrist strap. The strap actually interferes with the mating of the wiimote to the dock so severely that it can be fairly difficult to get them to charge. Removing the wrist strap from the Wiimote resolves this issue, but is not an acceptable solution, in my opinion. Why there was not a small groove molded into the bottom of the charging pocket to allow for the strap is beyond me. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the quality and value of this device."

What's great about it: Price, convenience, savings on batteries What's not so great: Only handles two controllers-- I had to buy two units for my four controllers
"This is a great product for your Wii! You don't have to spend money on batteries. You also don't have to wait until the battery is completely drained to charge, because these battery packs don't have charge memories. When you're done playing, just stick the controllers on the charger until you're ready to play again. They also charge very fast and you can tell when it's fully charged by the change of the light color on the front of the charging unit. One of its drawbacks is that it only charges two controllers at a time, but I just bought two units so my four controllers could always be ready (a must w/a big family). The other drawback is that you can't charge the controller with the sleeve on, but I find that I like the controller bare anyway. I love this product and recommend it to anyone whose Wii gets a lot of playtime!"

"I bought this because my batteries ran out and I didn't want to keep buying more. I would have to say that this is a wise purchase when buying the wii or right after getting one. The charging pack and back are very easy to install into the remotes. The only thing I do not like is that I have to remove the rubber covers on the wiimote to charge it but that is the price you pay not to have batteries."

What's great about it: Easy to use, great deal for the price
"This charger is a fantastic accessory to have. The Wii remotes slide very easily into the correct charging position and the blue and green indicator lights make it very easy to see when your remotes are ready to use. Before, my Wii remotes had been going through batteries like crazy, often leaving me to have to search for new batteries in the middle of a game. (This is NOT cool when you're in the middle of a Guitar Hero song and have to take the remote out of the guitar to replace batteries). The charger ensures that my gameplay never has to be interrupted as long as I plop the remotes back into the charger when I'm done. Really a small thing that makes SUCH a big difference in the long run.
The only bad thing that I've found is that you can't charge the remotes with the rubber protective sleeves on. So I just don't use the rubber sleeves anymore."
