"I've had this camera for 6 months and it seems every time I use it I love it even more. The pictures are crystal clear and the video is even better! Sound quality is pretty good, but you can't expect much from a digi-cam. The preset picture modes are very helpful, but the manual mode is what I use most of the time. There's so many different functions on this camera you can use it for ANYTHING. After my friends and family saw this camera in action, they wen't out and bought one too!"

"I bought this camera about a week ago and am very pleased with it. I wanted a small, lightweight camera which would fit easily into my front jean pockets, yet which has very good resolution and features. This one fits the bill to a tee, and is a good price for what it offers. I spent alot of time reviewing different brands and cameras and I came to the conclusion that this was the best for my purposes."

"This camera has all of the extras and more that one would expect from a mid-priced camera. The color accent is one of my favorite features, and the pictures and videos (surprisingly) are both very good quality. Featuring a rechargable battery and able to use HC SD cards, this camera is more than anyone could ask for in a small compact. Also, the LCD screen is gorgeous."

"This camera works awesome. It gives great picture quality and what's even better is that it is very easy to use. I originally purchased a $400 dollar camera, however my wife didn't like it and couldn't figure out how to use all of its features. Then I bought her this one which was $300 at the time. She loves it!!!! We have had it for over a year now with no issues what so ever. The only thing I would suggest is to buy at least a 1 gb memory card, so that you can have 200+ pics and videos before uploading. Although uploading the pics to a computer only takes a few minutes anyway. A++ product!"

"I bought this camera for my wife as a birthday presant. She asked for a new one because she was not happy with the last 3 I bought her. You would think I would have giving up by now but I read the reviews on this one and thought well she has to like this one. Sure enough she informed me that this is the one. She loves everything about it and shows off all the easy to use functions it has. I have bought more and less expensive camers in the past but this was the best one according to her. I should learn more about products before I buy them. The reviews do help."

"This camera is easy to use and very light weight. After carrying around a huge canon for years it was a pleasant surprise. Seeing the pictures and knowing you got the shot you wanted is great. You do need a very good printer to do justice to the shots this camera takes."

"This camera is my first foray into digital photography and I'm very happy with my purchase. I chose it for its sleek frame and expansive menu. Although there are many options, the menu is easily navigated and the auto feature allows to you let the camera do the work. The view screen is not crystal clear, however I'm more concerned with the pictures themselves than the screen."

"The SD1000 takes quality pictures with plenty of point and shoot options, like the auto focus on faces mode. Pictures get taken and written to memory relatively quickly (much quicker than my old Fuji camera). The one thing I don't like is that you have to take the battery out to charge it, though charges do seem to last a good amount of time. I also like that this camera can easily fit in a pocket. It takes a little while to learn how to change things, like image size or focus mode, but once it's learned, it's pretty easy. Overall a nice little camera."

"I upgraded from a Canon SD200, wanting more pixels. I got a whole lot more. The LCD is very clear, and large. The controls are simple, and it will do a lot on it's own for those not tech-savvy. The pictures are very clear, and I am EXTREMELY impressed with the digital zoom. The quality did not degrade nearly as much as I expected, and even without a tripod I got almost no blurring at 10X digital zoom.
Very reasonable price for a great camera."

"Beyond the great pictures, this camera is a pefect size, charges quickly, holds a charge well, and what I especially like is that its ready to take a picture from being shut off in about 1 second! Nice big viewer window and easy to change most commonly used settings. I still haven't perfected the night time, really low light shot, (where you still dont' want the flash on)...but so few cameras really do that well, and certainly none in this price range (bought mine for 199$)"

"I bought this digital camera about a month ago. I love it and so do all of my friends. It takes really clear pictures and they look great when you print them out. I also love the fact that the picture actually rotates when you turn the camera from horizontal to vertical. I also really like the lithium battery, no more double AA's. It is also a really great size, perfect for those small going out purses!!"

It was really the first opportunity I had to take pictures with it and I'm very pleased with my purchase. It's so easy to use and so wonderfully responsive. Excellent value! "I went to a concert where I was very far away and I could not see over people's head to see the stage. A great feature about this camera is, it will focus on a person automatically, so even though the camera was above my head, it automatically found the performer on stage. My pictures came out great! This camera is wonderful. The battery life is great as well."

"I bought this camera 3 days before I went to Disneyworld. I didn't have much time to read the manual (on the plane). The camera was sooooooooo easy to use. My pictures are sharp and clear and couldn't have turned out better. Anything I didn't know how to do (turn on the flash) I was able to quickly figure out. It was very easy to download the pictures to my computer as well. The battery life was excellent. This is my first digital camera and I love it! For the price you can't beat it. I also liked having a viewfinder as well as the LCD screen. My daughter's camera only had the LCD screen and in the bright sunshine it was very difficult to see."
