Because somewhere along the way, console makers decided that it was a great idea to give you 1 controller when you purchase a console. As if you'll never play with anyone else.

You shouldn't have to buy these I think every game console (for what they charge for them now a days) should come with two controllers like the older game console.

What's not so great: The price!
This is the best controller out there! Wireless is the way to go and Microsoft made sure they had no competition there. You can get cool glowing controllers but they won't be wireless like this one. My six year old has gotten mad and thrown this controller across the room, but it still works as well as the day we bought it. Plus we don't have kids tripping over cords and making the xbox fall off the tv stand. It is pricy but with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For the price why would you go aftermarket. Spend the extra few dollars and get what Microsoft crated.

controller works great,price is better than gamestop.i wanted the white one,because my 360 is white but that doestn matter when you are playing a game cause you look at the tv not the controller ,unless you are a rookie lol.

What's great about it: wireless
What's not so great: normal price for features
I managed to pick up one of these on sale for $35 and I believe it is well worth it at that price point. At the normal $50 I would not have bought it unless it came standard with a rechargable battery.
It has worked flawlessly for me and I love not having cables running to the controllers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I missed my chance to buy a couple new controllers when they were on sale for $35...then they shot back up to $50. Not worth it but you have to have controllers! They are not very durable...they hardly ever work after I throw them at the wall!!! lol
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've been playing with this control for a few months now and it is working just fine. I like the wireless control but it would be nice if it had rechargeable batteries.

What's not so great: Now I want more of them.
I've had a pair of the original wired 360 controllers for my PC for a couple years now. After finally picking up a 360 with wireless controllers, I want the wireless receiver for pc use as well. No tangles, no piles of wires next to the console, no having to figure out who is player 1 and who is 2. The controller also turns off when not in use and will shut down with the 360 so as to conserve power. Couple this with the recharge pack and there's no worries about downtime either.
I would recommend this to a friend!
