I bought two of these for the holidays for my wife and son. I was so impressed with this monitor that I went out and bought one for myself as well to replace an excellent, but huge CRT with the same screen size.

Excellent monitor for the money. I searched many 19 to 21 in. monitors and this one was the best reviewed for price and customer satisfaction. Best Buy had the best price too.
What's great about it: Lightweight,bright contrast

After reading many reviews of this monitor, I chose it because of the sale price I bought it for yesterday. The reviews I read stated that it was fine for regular business work, home use, and standard multimedia use but not well suited for professional graphics or photo editing. Sure, I would rather have a much more expensive LCD and I even do photo editing with Photoshop and other apps for personal and hobby but I just couldn't afford much more than what I paid for this monitor so this was the best I could find for the money at the time. I would have rather had more available downward tilt as this only will tilt down about 5 degrees. The upward tilt is much more and plenty for me. As far as using this for photo editing, I will be doing that also because although the reviews I read state that it lacks in ability to display shades of dark gray, I can't seem to see any eveidence of this even in the high res B&W photos that I have but I'm sure that it is true compared to better quality and higher priced LCDs. Like I said, I got this one because it was well worth the sale price I got it for at the time. That was yesterday and just now when I logged onto this site to write my review, I see that the price is way higher now and I think that it is now over priced at the time of my writing this. As for the color and contrast, I think it looks great. Viewing angle from sides seems really good o me even though I had read that there was some loss of color and that the angle wasn't as great as what specs state. The controls are on the side but not hard to access or use. It is a good looking black and silver panel and setup was as easy as could be. Goes into standby with no problem and seems to have wonderful clairity, color, and contrast to me. 4:3 aspect ratio works well for some things like 4:3 format movies, photos, and webpages. I plan to get a very high quality widescreen sometime in the future when I can afford one. This is perfect for now.
What's great about it: Plenty of upward tilt, Nice color and contrast, Great price when it was on sale
What's not so great: Barely any downward tilt, DVI cable not included

Purchased this LCD monitor a week ago and couldn't be more pleased. Just FYI, I contacted Westinghouse support via email and recieved a reply in two business days. Not bad! I was asking about the User Manual included in the box. The User Manual says 650:1 contrast ratio and 40,000/hrs lamp life. However, their reply (and website) advised they are using a new panel in the manufacturing process which is 900:1 contrast ratio and 50,000/hrs lamp life. So, as I mentioned, I couldn't be more pleased... This is really a great 4:3 LCD monitor, very large, great color, and (at least for me) no dead pixels! Great job Westinghouse!
What's great about it: Simple, yet great display!
What's not so great: Not widescreen...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I read all the other reviews and people reading mine should listen this is a great product don't let the name brand Westinghouse scare you off this monitor is large and look expensive and works great

Not many LCDs in this price range have 1400x1050 resolution, most have 1280x1024. So this is somewhat unique. And it synced to my IBM laptop perfectly and now I have a very bright monitor that matches my laptops resolution.
Also, I love that Best Buy's website allows you to sort monitors by resolution.. Many other websites don't have that capability. Good Job Best Buy.
What's great about it: Very Bright and has 1400x1050 resolution

i really enjoy using this monitor; 5 mts. to install & use; has low power options; great contrast & clarity; great to watch movies & sports shows;

This monitor is awsome for gaming, ive done a little photoshop with it and that is also displayed very well.
The resonse time is great especiall for games. i play my games on high settings and the display is awsome, no ghosting or pixelation due to a high resolution.( I use 1280X1024) I hooked up my Xbox 360 via an adapter and Halo 3 and Bioshock look absolutely amazing on this monitor, the picture is crisp and non distorted. No problems with dead pixels.

i really like it bought it when it first came out at a great price now it is $50.00 more than what i gave for it.
What's great about it: The monitor was easy to get the base on. the connections are easy to get to and the buttons are well hide.
What's not so great: I would have liked the base to have more tilt down as my monitor sets high on my desk on top of the keyboard caddie.

Was pleased to find this screen. It was simple to install from box to usage within minutes. Sleek look compliments it's contemporary office surroundings. Highly recommend it. Exceptional clarity and color for working with photos.

I was online price searching for moniters. We ideally wanted a flat screen but knew how expensive they could get. I went to the Best Buy website and to my surprise there was MY moniter! Well the one we wanted for such an affordable price. The quality is GREAT. I would reccomend this and have to all of my friends. The colors are awesome. My son enjoys online gaming and this is the moniter for that! This was a great purchase and my husband agrees!!!!!

I just bought this monitor and it is fantastic. The details are sharp and clear and at 1400x1200 - it is still crisp and clear. It's nice and bright, my prior 20" CRT monitor was a little on the dark side and this thing lights up the room. Screen refresh is fast at 8ms. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for an LCD monitor. For <$275 you won't be making a mistake.

I am very happy with this monitor. It has a great picture and response time. The colors are beautiful. It is the perfect size. Has DVI and VGA hook-ups. Resolution is Great.

I love this monitor. I bought it as a second monitor - I had two LCD monitors a 17" and 19" and I wanted to give my wife the 17".
So when I saw this come up for sale at BestBuy - I took the plunge and have I been glad I did.
The image is sharp - the refresh rate is fantastic - watching movies on it - you see very little if any blur and games are the same.
It's nice and bright and the color is not washed out unlike some monitors I've seen.
Definitely worth the money and it's HUGE!

These are great units for theatrical light board because they do not spill a lot of light. The viewing angle is very narrow. Great for keeping the surrounding are dark.

I purchased this display as an upgrade/replacement for my computer system. The price was right, 189.00. The only thing is that even with my Radeon 9550 graphics card, the images for gaming are still lacking. This display is Ok, but certainly NOT worth a full price.
